Rose looked at the offered hand, not quite sure what he wanted. A handshake, an offer to sit, she didn't know, but chose to ignore his hand and looked at his face. "Mortmain? Who is he? His name has been floating around lately," she said with honest curiosity, and anger too. Was he the one who was controlling the metal creatures? "The Clave doesn't tell me much of anything, I don't even really have a home Institute, so I'm a bit behind on the news."

Tristan watched as the girl whipped past him, a girl with varying emotions. She watched as she headed over to where the meeting was to be held, and glanced over at Violeta who was also heading over there. He closed the Institute's wide, wood doors and followed after Sinna, to the meeting room.
Once there, he took a seat in the center, so he could easily hear each of the people's opinions on the matte of Mortmain and his automatons returning. It had been such a long time, a century even, since he had last hear of the topic. He remembered hearing about a case on Valentine and his son, Jonathan, but no one heard from them since. He shook his head, and listened before putting his input. "I believe we need to first find of his whereabouts and his dealings in the Downworld. We know how he uses demon energies, do we not? He wouldn't be likely to be in the same place he was, as that wouldn't be a very effective strategy. Perhaps we could call in Magnus Bane, for any rumors going down in the Downworld of Mortmain, or anything strange going down there, maybe?" He usually loved to input on situations like these, but he was often scoffed at for what they believed to be so stupid.

Violeta looked at the girl strangely, but did not reply to her. She was glad the two of them hadn't recognized her, as it would surely surprise them to see her there. No one had known her whereabouts until recently, and of course they wouldn't believe her to be visiting. Her father was infamous with both the Downworlders and Shadowhunters, but that was long ago. He seemed to have disappeared from the time she had disappeared as well, making it strange to everyone. But, she pushed the thought away and headed in, through the two doors, and leaned against a pillar, listening in their conversation. She used a fake name to get in this meeting, and if someone was to see her eyes, then she'd surely be found out. She crossed her arms, and continued listening to each of their inputs.

Sinna crouched for a bit in front of the fire, warming her cold hands. Settling into a plush brown sofa in a corner of the room, she stared into the fires moodily, listening to the conversation but not really joining in, until Tristan mentioned automatons. Almost falling of of the smooth leather couch but catching herself before she made any movement, Sinna went rigid, her red eyes impossibly stormy, a kaleidiscope of emotions. "Auto..." she got vaguely interrupted by a dull flas of a family heirloom. Scowling inside, she thought to herself; well, just show it off, won't you! Rub the salt straight into my wound; yeah, I know I don't have a suitable family, but still...glancing u, she remembered Tristan's previous statement. Whispering, her voice so quiet you could pretend it was the wind, she fingered with a crystal earring and said; "Automatons? Like... metal beings? Like... Like Steam!?" Her voice pitched on that last note, Sinna suddenly springing to her feet, almost like she had been zapped. Eyes slightly wild and crazed, she gripped Tristan's arm with painful tightness. "Like Steam, right? Like Steam!?" Sinna was half aware that she wasn't making any sense, but to her, it didn't matter at the moment. "Would you like me to get steam!? Do any of you guys know morse code? Or engineering?" She fingered the small white dog whistle in her pocket, made of a special downworlder metal, especially made for Steam's ears Could it call other automatons? Still keeping her grip on Tristan's arm, Sinna blinked and looked around the room, just realizing she was making a scene. "What?" She demanded, face going sour.

Tristan was gladly about to answer the girl named Sydney for news of what the Clave had been discussing, when Sinna shot up like a firework and grabbed his arm, and started to talk somewhat of nonsense. "By the angel, what-" Before he could finish, Sinna already had an iron grip of him, and it didn't seem like she was going to let go anytime soon. However, he was indifferent to her grip, as he had much training, and had grown stronger ever since his first time training. He looked at her in confusion at first, then began to comprehend it, little by little. Though, she really was making a scene; seriously, she had the attention of the whole crowd, even the ones outside were entering and trying to find out what all the commotion was about, and why the room had gone silent, save a eighteen year old girl who spoke of obscure text.
"Perhaps you should slow down a bit, Miss Darque. Now, go on, and please stop acting like a child," said one of the Clave members, his bitter tone ringing in the silent room.

Violeta tilted her head in curiosity of the Shadowhunter girl speaking up to a crowd of people older than herself. She smirked to herself, the girl seeming a bit acidic in her tone with that last 'what'. As much as she wanted to pitch in the matter at hand, it was not time yet to show who she was. She listened intently, and laughed in her head when all the members listened in, wanting to head the input of the young girl.

Rose took a step back in surprise, her hand twitching reflexively to the silver pocket knife she kept in the front right pocket of her shorts. When she realised it was not an attack, or even a Downworlder, she held her hands firmly behind her back, but didn 't drop her guard. This girl sounded crazy, speaking nonsense. {Dobby's first fail post in the entire roleplay! XD}

Sinna bristled at the comment, eyes flashing a bright ruby red before she turned to face the crowd of senior shadowhunters, a mask of complete calm on her face. Pasting an eery fake smile on her face, she said; "Yeah? Me as a child? Well, if that's true, then you must have an intelligence of a toddler, if you haven't noticed. I've been here for SEVEN YEARS, for Angel's sake!" Still smiling at the shadowhunter, she knew she was crossing the line, but, being the cold calculator that she was, Sinna also knew that what she was going to show them was going to be too important, too important to throw her out. Releasing her grip on Tristan's arm, she thrust a hand in her jean's pocket, and took out the small crystalline whistle, and blew into it; no sound came out.
Knowing what the Clave was going to ask next, Sinna waved her hand impatiently and said; "This whistle's sound is way too high for humans, or shadowhunters, to hear; unlessyou are a lycan, you wouldn't be able to hear the note. Suddenly, a bang erupted at the door, then a flurry of snarls and thumps; it almost seemed like something was trying to break the door down, but Sinna didn't look the least perturbed. Setting a -was that motor oil?- can on the ground, she whistled, this time the note still high but audible. A low, almost robotic, whine came from the hall, and a shiny, silver automaton tromped in, it's hide steaming from the cool snow meeting his warm, if not hot, metal skin and fur. staring at everyone with intelligent red eyes, he finally plodded over to Sinna and nosed her hand, then started lapping up the motor oil, glancing up once in a while and snarling at the Clave. "This was what I wanted to show you, dear Clave members..." Her eyes shot darts at the Clave member with the bitter tone. Smiling innocently, she said; "But, since I should stop acting like a child..." She started to wave Steam away.

Tristan over at Sydney, who looked very attentive, and really to attack, for some reason. Really, what was up with everyone today? He turned back his attention to the startled member who called Sinna was acting like a child and snickered at her reply. Honestly, the girl was somewhat crazy, but that didn't mean what she was saying was nonsense. He spoke for the man instead. "Really, Miss Darque, I think you should continue on what you were saying. People make terrible assumptions," he said, leaning back in his chair, grinning at the man.
The man looked furious and red, so he simply sat down and tried to calm down, but that sure wasn't likely. He shook his head, causing his old, floppy cheek skin to flop about. He sure was getting old.
Violeta was very intent on this conversation. Surely, some of the wolves were clover of their ears in annoyance, but that was all. Maybe I should go to these meetings more often, she thought.

XD I can't wait for the movie, but it has to be exactly right or I'm busting some heads B|}

Rose smirked, seeing the old man from the Clave speechless and fuming. She decided she liked this guy, Tristan. Anyone who could put the Clave in their place was alright in her book. However, she really couldn't focus on this beautiful moment because of the automaton in the middle of the room. All the ones she had seen so far were more or less humanoid, some half done, but all vaguely human.

Sinna smiled, pleased. Staring at the fuming clave member, she raised her eyebrows sarcastically, then said; "do you have anything to add, dear clave member?" Hearing no reply, she pat steam on the head, the movement making a soft, almost delicate, pinging noise. Steam snorted in delight, a few whisps of vapor trailing from his mouth. Staring at everyone for a second with laser eyes, steam then opened his mouth, showing razor sharp bronze teeth, then emitted a series of clicks and creaks that was easily recognized to be morse code; he then paused, and emitted a large bark. Sinna sneered again, and glanced around the room, one hand still clutching the whistle, the other on steam. "Well? Anyone got a computer? I haven't got all day..."

Violeta decided to pop in now, and pulled out a new model of an apple laptop and handed it over to Sinna. She smirked, her eyes gleaming under the dark sunglasses. "Would this do, perhaps?" she asked, people narrowing their eyes at her, because she did not look familiar. Good thing, though. "Or do you need an older model to work it? I'm quite interested to see this work."

Tristan looked at Sydeny who seemed to be string at the mechanical dog in the center of the room. He laughed quietly, as the clave member were silent, as a person approached the girl to hand her a computer. No one really knew who she was.

Sinna glanced over at Violet, as if noticing her for the first time. As her eyes scanned violet and her hand accepted the computer, she suddenly broke into a smile... A sly one that almost seemed knowing. "Thank you... Violet. I actually need a newer version; thank you." She the. Snapped her fingers at Steam; Suddenly, with a smooth whirring of gears, a small panel on the automatons back slid into view; on it was an outlet. Taking a black charger out of her backpack, she connected the two; suddenly, the laptop sparked and shuddered, the screen growing hot. A blank white screen appeared, and Steam barked. A robotic male voice came out of the computer, articulate and slightly old fashioned... "Anyone got any more motor oil? The snow does not do me any good." Sinna grinned in delight, dimples blossoming on the edges of her mouth. She bent over and typed; Hey, Steam! Steam barked again, and another string of words came out of the computer; "Hello, master; who are these dull people?"
