Persona

Odin is a bit of a mystery lad, someone that isn't someone to be taken lightly, but at the same time someone that shouldn't be treated like he's the damn apocalypse. He has his moments, his moments were he lets rage and fear take over him, in these moments he's uncontrolable, someone that you'd better just avoid because he's going to be sweeping through with hurricane force winds. This especially happens if he finds one of his friends or loved ones being bullied or humilated in any shape or form, he acts more like a guard than a friend and is quick to jump in for anyone that he considers close. At the same time he's near to heartless when he sees someone being picked on that he doesn't know. Why should he get involved with something that he has no part in? It doesn't matter who the person is but he doesn't like to put himself into other people's problems. This sometimes makes him seem like he doesn't care for other people, this isn't really true, he does think quite highly of the human race, it's just that he doesn't want to get into unneeded trouble when he can just walk away. He is also very untrusting of strangers and what they might say to him, if he doesn't think much of you than his motto is; "everything is a lie until proven otherwise." He can even be a bit weary on things that his friends say, but there's much more of a chance that he'll go along with what you're saying if you're considered to be a close friend.

Depending on who he's talking to Odin can be very formal or informal. He tends to not enjoy being formal around adults or any supervision that he may be given. However if he's going out somewhere and he needs to act polite and be curtious than he knows that he has to. When he is formal you may not catch everything that he says because he enjoys using a lot of big words (maybe to trip people up, or make him seem fancy?) His large vocab came from his childhood years when he enjoyed reading before he "reinvented" himself as a more 'tough' and 'brute' guy. Because that's what he'll act like, he'll act like a complete jerk when you first get to meet him (unless like I said, he's trying to remain formal.) A normal first meeting 'hello' is him blowing smoke for a cigarette into someone's face and then laughing about their reactions. Odin is not social, and doesn't have any wishes to be popular and well-known. He's very outgoing though and if you're in a group with him you can see that he likes saying whatever pops into my mind, whatever the trouble may be. He doesn't have a lot of friends, and never really has, but again it's not because he couldn't get any, because if he tried he could be a social butterfly. It's just that he doesn't want any.

I think you're mistaking me for someone who enjoys chit chat.
say hello to nathan decker, and let's hope he doesn't bite your head off right away. he's the cat that decidedly didn't get the cream, you see, so annoying him more than you have to probably isn't something you should aim for. nathan doesn't really like the name 'nathan' because he finds it too generic and not very creative on his parents' parts. however, he doesn't like any of the nicknames he's come across so far, and the likelihood is that he won't like yours. so your safest bet is to call him 'nathan'. his middle name is 'jay', which he loathes, so if you call him that then prepare yourself to be smote. and then 'decker' he has no real feelings about. it's just a last name to him, really.

nathan enjoys using his relatively tall stature to intimidate and coerce people into doing what he wants [along with his talent for egging people on, but more on that later]. he's somewhat hard to miss in the hallway because he makes every effort to try and walk through the center of the hall so people have to move over to let him by. his physique is not so buff that he's bursting out of his clothes, but he is well toned. he does it mostly for vanity reasons because the alternative is being flabby, at that sort of thing doesn't appeal to him in particular. the convenience of being able to punch someone with actual strength behind it is a close second reason, however. although, against a trained fighter he'd probably die. he's never had formal training. nathan's hair is so black that you might as well have dumped a bottle of ink on it for all the good it does. it naturally curls, so nathan trims it regularly to keep it from overgrowing and becoming something unmanageable and cumbersome. his eyes are a shade of pale blue. they're not piercing like albus dumbledore's, but they're blue, nevertheless. nathan wishes that they were a more striking shade, but there's nothing more he can do about that one.

you should probably pay attention to me.
nathan is basically the guy that's pushing everyone else around. he dislikes doing this himself when he could easily convince someone else to do the same task for him. he's a talented liar and has a great poker face [and, in general, a great tendency to react the right way in certain situations]. while he doesn't like constantly chatting with people all the time because it wears him out to try and balance all the monotonous conversation coming his way, nathan is able to take the ordeals a few times during the year. when he's really trying, he can be very pleasant and congenial, but only because he wants to. there are few times where nathan will actually go out of his way to be nice. all other times, he usually lets his temperament do its thing because trying to do otherwise would be much too much trouble than its worth. the only reason he hasn't been called out for being an inattentive jerk is because nathan has a knack for making things up on the fly, although he's terrible at rote memorization. he'd have been a great actor except for that one point. his problem is because he needs to think things through and derive reasons for something that happened. this is one of the reasons why he dislikes history, because working out everything that happened when requires a lot of recollection of past events, anyway. nathan hates things that he's not good at. nevertheless, nathan is a talented speaker, and he could move mountains if he wanted to by rallying a crowd. unfortunately, he uses his silver tongue mostly for getting his posse to do whatever he wants, and it's rare that he'll actually do something out of the selflessness in his heart--because he's not selfless. nathan is self-centered and selfish and constantly puts his own well-being over others' in all situations. there is nothing in this world more important to him than his own life and what he wants. as such, nathan is ruthless and ambitious when it comes to things that he's passionate about, so you'd better expect competition and fierce rivalry if you get in his way. he's easily annoyed and has a short temper, usually starting fights. you'd think that someone that can do complicated calculus functions in his head in under thirty seconds might be more prone to logic, but numbers are about the only thing that nathan is good at working through. other than that, he mostly thinks with his natural instinct to punch a punk's face in. he doesn't forget transgressions and easily takes up new grudges and hardly ever lets them go until he feels he's paid the perpetrator back for whatever they did to him. the world is checks and balances with this guy. he's not eager to ask people to do something for him [rather, he'll order or force them] because he'll be in their debt and obligated to pay them back. on the flip side, he's more than willing to do things for others if they agree that they'll owe him a favor. if he actually tried to tone down his arrogance however, nathan would be a really cool guy to be around. he does have a faint sense of cynical humor, it's just buried really deep. unfortunately, nathan is not one to trust others easily because he doesn't know them well enough. he knows his own strengths and limitations fine, so he trusts himself, but he dislikes the fact that people are so unpredictable. if he tried to get to know people better, he might figure out that if he just make some friends and stuff that people would come through for him. still, nathan has always depended on himself to get the job done in the end, and that's how he likes to live. he doesn't like being bound to one place by extreme responsibilities and is planning on getting away from this place as soon as he can. his moods are unpredictable, as well. one moment, he could be chuckling along with some of the guys in his group, and the next second he could become very rash and easily annoyed, snapping at someone across the room telling them to shut up or something. then he'll go back to being happy, then something occurs to him and silences him for a moment, and then he gets upset over something all over again. the way that he goes from one mood to another is a mystery no one can solve, but it's safe to say that most of the time, nathan is in a perpetually irritated, prickly mood. unless you're 100% sure, you probably shouldn't try and make a joke around him, because he'll probably try and strangle you. nathan has little patience for stupidity or ignorance, and he seriously can't deal with people that won't get a concept within two minutes. in addition to his general impatience with the human race, nathan tends to take a very cold and logical approach to everything and typically prepares for the worst. he's the glass if half empty, not half full guy. he's constantly looking at the downside of things. his philosophy for that is that if he figures out solutions for the worst possible outcome, then he won't be caught off guard and will be more successful. and also because optimism doesn't come easily to him. and while this isn't really part of his personality, nathan actually has a pretty decent singing voice, but he's only going to sing for you if he's drunk. it's not that he's particularly proud of this aspect, but he's not ashamed of it either. it's just something he can do and not really something he thinks is applicable to most areas of life that actually yields a steady stream of revenue.

it's really not that interesting.
after being born in san francisco, his family moved here to settle down because of his father's job. the youngest of three brothers, michael being ten years older than nathan and alexander seven years older, nathan was constantly either pushed to the side or overcast by very long shadows. he wasn't brilliant at something like michael or alex were. he wasn't a prodigy in school or in some sort of art. by all means, nathan was exceptional, considering, but that wasn't really good enough for his parents, who wanted better than nathan's best. he tried for a little while through middle school, getting high grades and studying into the night through the first half of freshman year in high school, but eventually he just stopped right in the middle, fed up and realizing that there was really no need to do this if it was just for his parents' approval. it definitely wasn't worth it. so that's when he allowed himself to be more unruly and actually try and act like how he wanted to and not how his parents expected. when they heard he was stirring up trouble, they flipped their lids and screamed at him until their faces turned blue, but by that point nathan was so done with the situation that he basically ignored them. to this day, he has not had a single sit down with his parents to talk about the circumstances of his childhood, and nathan is not planning to have that conversation, soon.

nathan has certainly gone out on dates before mostly because he was like 'I've got no reason to say no' unless the person was really terrible. like, deplorably so. in some way or another. so nathan tried it out a couple of times, but it was either him or her that broke it off--him because he didn't look forward to dates at all and her usually because he's basically a straight up jerk. he doesn't change around his personality for a girl, you know. he doesn't think it's worth trying to be a different person for someone else. at this time, he's not interested in finding someone to date, and he's unlikely to be in a very chatty mood all of a sudden, anyway.

Gunnar is an interesting character as far as his description goes, which may be viewed as both good and bad. He has a nervous edge to him that seems to show more than it should, and he’s normally wearing a frightened expression that pronounce his skittish personality like a life story. Although he doesn’t tower above most other boys, he has a fair height of 5’8” and a slightly built body enough to get him past ‘lanky’, weighing at only 150 pounds. His skinny shape tends to swoon back and forth like a ragdoll during a fighting stance, which both baffles and puts his opponents on edge, giving him the satisfactory he needs to put an end to any violent problem. Despite this, he often trips over himself and declares a clumsy outlook that mostly comes from nerves—and his wavy, quirky spine. Gunnar’s jaw is set straight and has a defined structure with no abnormal behavior what so ever. His nose is nothing compelling, either, and is smooth and seeks a common American shape, with a few transparent freckles that fleck the small bridge like the dapples of a burnt autumn leaf. His face seeks a youthful description that reflects the branches of his unique figure, and he could definitely fit under the category defined ‘cute’ if you can see past his tendency to shy away. His structure also happens to be feminine-like, and although an angel, it was like this in his past life as well. Gunnar’s hair is nothing cutting edge. It’s a shade of dark chestnut, nearly black under the light, and laps over his forehead by just a few inches. His hair spikes up at the meeting front like a pointed tip, and it remains a constant, normal length—nothing fancy, but a cute expression of himself and something to get by with. Although the boy is shy and secretive, he doesn’t portray any outcast traits and isn’t bold with his style or the way he dresses. In fact, he appears normal at a first glance except for his skinny frame and sorrowful expression. He is, after all, but an angel in a cold world. His eyes seem to hold the [chilling] uniqueness of his appearance. Being a brunette, you wouldn’t expect to look up and spot dazzling blue eyes against blushing cheeks, but being an angel, he was given the colour. However, his pupils are very slit-like and not as inviting as one of an angel’s should. They look almost dilated and daggered, giving him an unusual appearance.

Gunnar is anything but a normal, obnoxious male. He's a daydreamer and a planner that spent most of his past life alone. Often lurking about and keeping to his own thoughts, he comes off as an easy push over by the world; it only comes naturally to him to do what others say, and he has a way of being overly obedient, as his imperative history has molded the traits from his continence and a powerful feeling of dread. Despite his tendency to stray from the flock, Gunnar was once a sweet boy that would go to extreme heights to achieve another’s happiness just to see their smile, thus making him an angel in a new life. Kindness comes naturally to him, and even if it’s hidden behind flushed cheeks and frightened blue eyes, the emotion is blatant. He allowed so many to walk all over him that he always ended up burned despite his good nature. Not only this, but his sexuality and differences in appearance may it that much harder to be accepted, and even as an angel he fears being discriminated. Gunnar is a quiet, shy boy that is often embarrassed by his actions or the things he says. He is normally wearing a deep flush to his cheeks and a nervous expression, showing the sadness that conflicts with previous memories forgotten by him; even if his previous life is lost from mind, he knows terrible things happened to him, and it’s that much harder to not know. Due to this, fear has always been an obstacle for Gunnar. He’s petrified of the dark and of losing the ones he loves the most, even if he has nothing left. For this reason he tries to be kind to everyone he meets, just to know he won’t hurt them like people have to him. He has a fear of the dark and locked rooms from the inside. He is overly obedient and often talks to him himself, giving others the impression he has mental disabilities. Not only this, but Gunnar tends to be clumsy and isn’t great in conversation with others. In truth, he has lost a bit of his sanity, but not to a breaking point. His awkward spine and movements make it easy to slide past his victims, and most of his secrets are easily hidden behind two odd eyes. He’s strange, but looked on as weak because of it, which isn’t true at all. He’s easy to trust, being so sad and beaten up inside.

quarter inches to be exact, but she always defies the doctors. She's beyond petite for her age,
but is proportionate in that she always weighs in around one-hundred and ten pounds. Despite
her naturally thin and slender body, she's developed the curves to replace the muscle that isn't
there. Of course, she's been trying to work on gaining that muscle for a while now. Skyler has
deep brown hair, with occasional light tones along with her red bangs and purple streaks that
she re-dyes from time to time. When in darkness, her irises are a deep hazel, but in the light
they often lighten to a soft green with blue rays around the pupil. She's never had a set eye
color, so often times you can find her with different tones of brown, green or blue in her irises.
But, for the most part, her eyes are green. There isn't really a time when you can't find this
angel sporting her usual outfit - jeans or leggings with a t-shirt or button-up. She absolutely
loves to wear boots - ankle boots, cowgirl boots or sexy black boots. She usually doesn't tend
to wear too much make-up, although sometimes she loves to accent her eyes, and usually is
found only wearing a necklace or headband.

◆ personality;; Overall, Skyler can be described by the words bubbly, hidden,
stubborn, fiery, and caring. Her stubborn thoughts and caring heart go hand in hand, unfortunately.
There are many things that she shares her opinion about, such as how animals should be treated
and how people should view angels such as herself - these lead her to her sharp-tongued attitude
and words she will regret. She will often lose her temper over small things and can be stubborn
when doing something that she doesn't want to - so if you attempt to tell her what to do, she most
likely won't listen at all and it will backfire. Sometimes she'll even do the opposite. Skyler likes
to attend social events to watch humans, as they fascinate her, but will keep to a corner where she
feels comfortable. Sometimes she also does things normal people wouldn't do - free fall, disobey
leaders, protect animals with her life, and other odds and ends. Skyler can be a social butterfly,
but she can also be kind, shy and reserved. Often times she'll get a surge of energy where she can
talk a lot and giggle more than usual, leading people to believe she might be slightly insane. But,
she cares about her friends and would do anything for them, if she truly cares and they care in
return. She would never let someone get hurt, and can be extremely defensive or fiery in a situation
where that could happen.

◆ habits;; One of Skyler's biggest habits would be what the doctor's call her tick - when she
repeatedly rubs her fingers together or her thumb against her fingers. She's also had a habit of
biting her nails and tilting her head to the side, which sometimes make people look at her oddly.
Although it's something she likes, another odd habit would be her humming. She loves to hum
and almost always has a song, new or old, stuck in her beautiful brain.

◆ fears;; Skyler absolutely fears, and hates with a fiery passion, spiders. Her arachnaphobia
reaches the highest levels it can, and often leads her squealing into the abyss if she comes across
one of the little hairy beasts. Despite their tiny size, she's deathly afraid of them. She can rarely
even be in the room with them. Her second worst fear would be needles - getting shots and her
blood drawn are the worst day of her life, especially when the butterfly needle slurps the blood
from her vein. It absolutely disgusts her, and often causes her uncomfortable pain. Her last few
fears are less important and apparent - fire, heights, small spaces and clowns. Many of which
cannot be explained with past events.

◆ weaknesses;; Skyler's biggest weakness is apathy - in others words she tends to believe
people a little too much and will often be persuaded into something with a few good words in any
sentence. She often puts too much trust in people, and that's how she has her heart broken so many
times. This is probably her second biggest weakness - not trusting herself. Over time, despite her
independence, she has grown not to trust herself or her gut.
