HISTORY
●Her point of view:
"Gaea's heavy breath came out in pants as she dashed through the forest, hooves hitting the ground with quick need. Warmth. Warmth, all around her. Warmth, suffocating her. Hooves pounding the ground as she yelled, yelled her words of caution, or fear. Bright red flames licked at the trees, crackling assaulting her ears. This was it, the tiny female decided. She was going to war."
Brief:
Gaea was one of the last Gods to go to war, holding back from the fighting, in fear of the obvious. Once the fighting began, some would die, and she had sworn to herself not to harm another unless invoked. Her opinion was rarely heard among the Gods, being soft spoken and a bit shy. Her words fell to deaf ears, and this alone ignited rage in her. She was pushed off and pushed off, maybe the only one whom ever paid attention to her words of peace was Cimmerain. And even then, he jumped into a war with Lux, light against dark. When Gaea had began to lose hope, the worst she could ever think happened. Her forest was destroyed.
When the forest she called home was mercilessly burned to the ground, the pretty beast threw down her love and prepared for war. Rage fueling her actions, Gaea was one of the last to start the war and one of the first to pass away. Over come by blood lust, the beast slowly transformed into a thing of a fairy tale. The villain. She was reckless, rageful, a new being. It took her only a few days after she began to participate in the war before she passed away.
In Depth:
Gaea began as a simple beast, her mind riddled with the hate of those before her. She was often miss viewed, tossed away from society because of her questionable appearance. Antlers, hooves, a horse body, a human torso. Many viewed her as a demon as she ruled, yet many events soon happened that changed the minds of many.
Hurt by society and it's view on her unfortunate turn of birth, she searched for those like her. The first being she found was a babe whom she named Jalirko. He was a beast combination, two entirely opposite beasts coming together to have one child. At first, he would seem normal, but take a closer look and you would think differently. The bottom half of his body was a mix of goat, deer and horse. He had the body of a horse, yet the legs of a goat, making him short, long, and low to the ground. A pair of antlers grew from his hairy torso, curving and twisting in many ways. He had the spots of a new born deer, the fur of a goat. His upper half was even worse. A wolf's muzzle came from his nose and mouth, his ears simply holes in the side of his head. His cheek bones contained a set of gills, allowing him to breath under water. Jalirko's muzzle held the teeth of a snake, and his eyes were completely gone, some sort of mole adaptation. Gaea was horrified at the sight, yet nursed Jalirko to health, raising him along with all of her other children. It soon became obvious that Jalirko was falling in love with Gaea. He became the chief of the Halycove tribe and tried his hardest to impress her, to no avail. Whatever he did never seemed good enough for the beauty minded Gaea.
Then, Gaea received a beautiful baby elven boy, from a well known tribe of elves. The tribe was going to war, a result of the war between the gods, and she was tasked with keeping care of the babe, making sure he grew up strong and ready to lead. It became bluntly obvious that this baby boy was Gaea's favorite. Naming him Kaname, the beast took well care of him, nurtured him, became his mother, fell in love with him. Of course, Jalirko was furious. The day Kaname reached adult hood, Gaea asked him for his hand in marriage. Of course, the elf whom had grown up among the ugly and unwanted accepted the beasts offer, wanting only to share the power she had. Soon after they were married, Gaea became pregnant with Kaname's child. Jalirko, in a jealous rage, set the forest he had lived in on fire. Jalirko died among the flames, and Kaname's body was never found.
Gaea, sick with madness, went to war, not caring about her pregnancy, the living baby inside of her. She would avenege her love, if it was the last thing she did.●
PERSONALITY
● Within the inner working of her fragile mind, Gaea was simply viewed as a shy, antisocial beast. Gaea, however, soon revealed herself as a proper young lady, wishing not to get her hooves dirty with the silly tantrums of the Gods. A simple girl is what you may see, laid back, a bit of a optimist, but she was much more than simply a wall flower. The way she spoke also revealed an abundance of details about her drawn back personality. Her speech patterns and choice of vocabulary didn't reflect the culture she lived in, as she was expected to be intelligent and well rounded. Her words were often slurred, soft, or intermixed with other languages she had learned from her many friends around the worlds. Gaea spoke in a quieter tone, her voice often times carrying very little emotion, expect at times when she felt as though she must get her point across in an open and unguarded manner. It was at these times that she reveals the true beauty beneath the beast and the emotionless facade. A hurt, gentle, and kind female whom wishes only the best for everyone she meets. She was a listener, able to understand social cues in the blink of an eye, or interpret a double meaning with not as much as a bat of an eyelash. More of a thinker than a doer, she hated when people would assume things about her tiny appearance and her quiet ways. Oh, Gaea thinks she is too good for us. No, that was not what she thought at all.
Hurt | Kind | And, in the end, Violent.
Hurt: Gaea was a simple female, wanting nothing out of life but happiness. It was this view on life that caused her much of her unhappiness. Her dreams consisted of falling in love, having a family, and creating world peace. However, she had bigger matters on her hands as she was a Goddess and was fully expected to act like one. Gaea was, a first, naive and extremely trustworthy. She fell in love in a blink of an eye. And when she fell out of love, let's just say she fell hard. Gaea often looked to those better looking that herself for comfort. Her main line of relationships were with elves and humans. She envied their beauty, their fullness. Gaea had always been very... careful about how she presented herself to others, knowing many would take one look at her misshaped body and believe her to be some sort of devil, trying to whisk them away into the unknown. Gaea spent most of her time with the elves, finding their company comforting, and finding them the most beautiful species that she had known. The beast fell in love with many elves, yet they all seemed to be uninterested in her. Heart-broken, Gaea drove herself to find another solution. She took her Goddess duties to the fullest, masking her hurt with all the work that needed to be done.
Kind: As Gaea became the Goddess she was meant to be, she found many had the same fears as she did. The fear of not being good enough, not being beautiful enough. This turned Gaea's view all around. Spending most of her later years among beasts of her own nature, she found many of her kind were abandoned as children. A mix of elf and beast blood was a result of a small, misshaped babe, sometimes they would be too infused with animal parts that their mind were no longer human, and they were driven into madness by the warring thoughts. Gaea took these hybrids in, comforting them and consoling them, acting as the mother they never had. This caused many to view her as a now world known subject, Mother Earth. The name originated from the tenderness of Gaea, mothering those whom had been abandoned by their birth parents. Soon it was not only restricted to hybrids, but other species as well. She grew to create a forest from these growing orphans. The Halycove forest. As the forest grew, the members in it soon grew older, creating a tribe of the unwanted. It was called the Halycove Tribe, named after the forest.
Violent: After the turn of events in her forest, Gaea grew hateful, mean. Her violence and blood lust soared to a peak. Speaking only in the tongue of her Halycove Tribe, the Goddess killed everything she had power to. The power hungry female soon died after her change of heart, a sad ending to a confused little beast.●
APPEARANCE
●Gaea, although she would never admit it, and never thought it, was actually quite beautiful. She had a slim horse torso, a creamy white color of fur that lined her back, with splotches of grey throughout her body. Her legs were long and toned, ready for a run. Her hooves were all black, except for one white spot upon her left hoof soft of in the shape of a leaf. Her human body was dark, the color of ground coffee beans, a rich and beautiful color. Her black hair was cut short, as she hated having it trail her horse torso. It reminded her too much of a mane, and that reminded her of her mixed genes. Her eyes were a bright, vibrant green against her dark skin, intense and thoughtful. The antlers atop her head were worn down, stubby and short, as she often marked the boundaries of Halycove territory by raking her horns against the bark of the trees. She was small, standing at maybe five foot, yet she managed to seem tall by the way she carried herself, torso high, legs stretched as she walked. Yes, she was beautiful, but many did not see her beauty, only saw the beast on the outside and ran. ●
ABILITIES
● Gaea was not one to flaunt her abilities, yet her true power was shown when she began to participate in the war. Earthquakes ravaged the land, plants withered and died, leaving many without food. She was able to control all plant life, kill it or cause a simple flower to bloom. She was also able to manipulate rocks, and anything of that sort. Gaea often resulted to making pillars of sharpened rock fly from the ground to kill her enemies, yet she had less destroying powers as well. Able to speak with animals, and at times bid them to her will, she was often surronded by smaller animals in her earlier years, as she protected them from being eaten by large predators. As the war started, however, she surronded herself with these predators and sent them to work doing her dirty jobs, killing ruthlessly. Something that was rumored as well, was that Gaea had the power to bring anything she wanted back to life. Many doubted this, hearing the story of her Kaname. If she could, why wouldn't she have brought him back? It was proven, however, that she could heal minor wounds with a simple touch of the hand. More severe wounds took concentrations and maybe a few herbs, but she was able to do so.●
DEATH
● Gaea cut into her own stomach, taking the baby from herself in the process. Some called in suicide, but Gaea, in her grief driven insanity, called it a sacrifice. Her life and her unborn child's life for the peace of the world. ●
OCCUPATION
● Xalvadora works as a simple servant girl, finding that many find her mix breed repulsive. ●
PERSONALITY
● Hurt | Kind | And, in the end, Stubborn.
Hurt: Xalvadora is often described as a very quiet and shy individual. She can't help it; she had a extremely terrible childhood, so she doesn't speak up in fear of being put down. When she's around a huge crowd, her head usually hangs down and she almost refuses to look up. If there's one thing she hates is being noticed or being the center of attention. Her fear is deeply embedded into her everyday life, helping with her occupation, her view of life, tainting everything. As a slave, Xalvadora is used to being spoken over, used to murmuring yes 'madames' and yes 'sirs' when around the company of others. Her low self confidence is evident, especially if you get the chance to look into her bright red-violet eyes. Shadowed by a large pupil, innocence and fear are the main things shining in them. Hurt is deeply engraved into her face, making it seem as though you have kicked a puppy every time you look at her. Her being the puppy, of course. Some find this sad, and take pity on her. But many, like her master, find this absolutely wonderful, and take pleasure from her pain.
Kind: This white haired girl can sometimes be almost mysterious and tends to keep to herself when you first meet her, for very obvious reasons. But if you magically get the chance to know her, you see that she's actually a very sweet and caring girl. She's almost like the 'mother' of her friends, caring for them when their hurt and always by their side. So to speak, she's a very loyal friend as well. Xalvadora is also very good with kids. Since she is very motherly, the bright eyed beast hybrid knows how to calm a child down and sometimes can understand what they want. It seems that she got very much of this from Gaea, taking her want to help those whom are less than she is... though you can't find very many whom are lower on the totem pole than she is.
Stubborn: However, she does have a bit of a stubbornness about her; she holds many grudges. She still hasn't forgiven the people who had abused her in the past, even though most have apologized for it. She just won't let most bad things go. All in all, anyone who gets to know this girl has just received a loyal, caring friend for life. ●
HISTORY
● Xalvadora had a very troubled childhood. She was born to the Queen of the Halycove tribe, but not to the king. Her mother had a relationship with a mere hunter, and as she was born, she wished she had been born of elven blood. Xal came out head first, antlers clear upon her small face. This invoked much rage in the King and the tribe. The Queen was forced to watch her hunter die, and then was exiled by the tribe, doomed to care more her mishappened baby. Her mother abandoned her at an early age, and Xal set herself to cleaning and nursing.
[more will be added as role play proceeds] ●
APPEARANCE
●Xalvadora is actually quite the beautiful ceature, unlike many would have you believe. She has a pair of black skinny deer horns atop of her small head. Her face is tiny and heart shaped and round. Her pale skin is a simple creamy color, except for under her eyes where it shines with a dark red-violet color. Her eyes are a deep, enticing red-violet, if you ever have a chance to look into them. Her elf ears are often pulled backward, a show of submission. Her body morphs into that of a horse at the torso. Her hair is a bright white, teal, and violet. It falls down to her torso, as she loves to feel her hair brush againest her fur.●
ABILITIES
● Xal's power is very under developed, the only part she has taken from Gaea is the healing. She can heal almost anything, however, and can even bring plants back to life. There are things that she is showing, however. How plants always seem to grow greener and healthier in her presence. Her love for animals, and their love for her. Small things, but very useful things, if she would at least try to harness her true power. ●
