Tap. Tap. Tap. Teala went pale and turned, knowing the sound. It was the sound of a mantis woman. The tapping came from the door she had just come through, the door was opening slowly, through the door a claw came. Teala acted quickly and ran to the door, slamming it with a bang. She fumbled to see if there was a lock but there was none.

Kia heard the bang and jumped out of skin, then she heard Tap.Tap.Tap what was that? She went over to investigate, she nearer and nearer the sound of tapping. She moved some hair out of her eyes and glanced around herself, then she saw some weird creature, is was some kind of mantis thing. Kia screamed and backed away.

Teala heard a scream the other side of the door, it was definitely human. She opened the door and jumped through to see the mantis woman approaching a girl with long black hair. Teala drew the long knife and, with shaking hands, slammed it into the side of the mantis woman's head. It let out a gurgling sound and turned round after regaining it's balance.

Kia looked at the girl in shock then she looked at the knife that was pretuding from the mantis thingy's head, though it didn't seem to affect it. Kia realized that the mantis thingy was going to attack the girl, Kia looked around wildly for something, anything to fend the mantis thingy off. Kia saw something glint in the light and grabbed it, it was a small but sharp dart and it had some red liquid in it, she threw the dart and it lodged itself in the mantis thingys arm thing.

Kari paused. Her hands hovered over the box infront of her. She turned her head slightly, towards the sounds. "Who's there?" She called, giggling. "Is it a little ghosty?" she laughed, then stopped abruptly. "No. No! Ghosts aren't real!" She yelled at herself, standing up and looking around the room, shaking. Books after books lined up all around her, and tables were situated at the end of each bookcase, each with a small red and bronze box set upon it, all locked. She frowned, picked up her sword, dictionary, crystal and one of the boxes before leaving the room to search for the creators of the sounds.

Danica let out a tiny sob, fear curling around her heart and forcing her to run. She threw open another door, tripping over a tree root and falling over, sprawled across the murky floor. She winced and crawled forward, spotting a small alcove. She curled up in it, closing her eyes and slowing her breathing. She opened her eyes and focussed them on the large tree in the middle of the room, trying to ignore the approaching buzzing sound of the book wasps. She cradled her Monkey-cat in her arms, biting her lip so hard it was almost bleeding.

Steve sat in a small room that was mostly empty, except for a large, comfortable armchair, in which he sat. He set his Wood Gecko on one of the arms of the chair and smiled lightly. "There y'are." He nodded slightly and strummed his guitar. "How 'bout a bit o' music to lighten the mood, eh?" He began to play an airy tune, humming along to it at the same time.

The geckos ran off suddenly as if they had heard something, then a cracking sound began on the floor and Piper stared as a crack began to run down the length of the room. He leapt up and began to run, well try to run. The room was full of cushions and desks and everyone impeded him. Piper stopped running and tried to climb up the side of the ball but it didn't work and with a crack, the floor broke under his feet. He fell down, a branch wiping across his face as he found himself falling into the branches of a massive tree.

The dart worked much better than the knife and red began to colour the Mantis's skin, not blood or bleeding but what had been on the end of the dart seemed to be seeping into the Mantis inside. It seemed to think Teala was the cause and lurched towards her, she ran back to the door she had come from but it was there no longer, just a painting. A hissing sound came near her head and she dodged as a claw sunk into the wood.

Danica shrieked as the ceiling caved in. She looked up and realised there must have been another room above this one. She then realised the buzzing of the book wasps had stopped. She relaxed and looked up at the tree again. She gasped as she saw a human-like shape falling into the tree. She gasped again when she noticed it was actually another human. She ran forward, forgetting all dangers, and scaled the tree quickly, up to the person. "Hello?" She murmured, her eyes wide. "Can... Can you hear me? Are you hurt?"

Kari walked down a hallway, dragging her katana along the wall and leaving a large scratch in the wallpaper as she walked. She peered into doorways, then, when she decided there was nothing of importance in there, scratched a cross on the door before carrying on walking. She sighed, growing bored of this costant walking and loneliness. "He-llo-ooh?" She called down the hallway, listening to her voice echo.
