Erin grinned, exiting Professor Sky's lab. Perched on her shoulder was her new Pokemon, Amazon, a Herballa. Clutched in her hand was her new Pokedex, a potion and three Pokeballs. Although quite sure that she wanted to challenge gyms rather than compete in contests, Erin wasn't sure which way to go - she could go through Route 1 and head to Gainsboro City, where she could challenge the first gym, or go through Route 2 and go to Pelorous City, but there was no gym there. "What do you think, Amazon?" she asked her Pokemon, who chirped in reply. "Gainsboro and Route 1 it is, then!"

Standing at one intersection between a Lab and a house, Lucy was stuck deciding which way to go. Having just received her first starter Pokemon from Professor Sky, this is where her Pokemon Journey began. However, in order to kick-start said journey, it might be a little helpful to leave your hometown first. Instead of having her new Pokemon - a Totodile - out of it's pokeball like most people would do, Lucy didn't see the point. If she needed him out, he would be out.

Route one or two...? She wondered. At the other end of One was Gainsboro City. Taking Two would leave you in the other city of Pelorous. The only difference that Lucy saw was that Pelorous City lacked a Pokemon Gym. It was more appealing for Lucy to go for the Gym, even when she just started out. She was drawn to move for Route 1, already wanting to see new sights and Pokemon. Hey, there might even be some new trainers around just like her.

Route 1

The twelve year old girl hummed happily in content as she nibbled on a Sitrus Berry her grandmother - a breeder - gave her before she departed on her adventure with her twin brother Vukasin. Said wolf was currently sleeping next to her, the occasional snoring quite audible. Her Oshawott Zippo and Vukasin's Charmander Daciana were sitting next to Remilia, also nibbling on a Sitrus Berry each.

She, or should I say they got their Pokemon an hour or two ago, and were now resting on Route One after a bit of sparring, enjoying the calm breeze and clear blue sky, although Remilia wasn't as relaxed as Vukasin was. A question that has been lingering in her mind ever since she was just a kid was still unanswered. Which road to take? The one to the Pokemon Champion or Top Coordinator? For Remilia, it was a hard question. Both titles appealed to her in some way, and her brain hasn't managed to decide what would be better; to be known as the strongest in Akaro or as the most dazzling performer in Akaro? Remilia snapped out of her thoughts when Vukasin snored yet again.

A sigh escaped her lips as she shook her head. She would leave those kind of questions for later. Right now, she had to think of a way of shutting up Vukasin and his dang snoring. Waking him up wasn't an option; he'd fall asleep again in a matter of seconds. Remilia's eyes scanned his body and her brain was trying to think how to cease his snoring.

A Taillow fluttered into a perch on a tree above Remilia, chirping down at her as he swooped downwards, eyeing the berries she had at hand.

The wild Combee floated near a dozing Vukasin, gently buzzing as she passed.

A wild Diglett popped up out of the ground in front of a girl with pink hair.

Erin walked along Route 1, staying to the path, although she kept a sharp eye out for any Pokemon she might be able to catch. She saw a girl and a boy, resting along the Route. The girl was nibbling on a berry, an Oshawott by her side; the boy snored, a Charmander toddling about nearby them. Looking over her shoulder, Erin saw another girl, but no Pokemon was on her shoulder or padding along at her ankles. Continuing to walk, Erin smiled slightly to herself, hardly paying attention as she went - thus resulting in almost tripping over something on the path. Yelping as she almost fell, Erin looked down at the ground to see an Oddish, toddling along. But it had fallen over, and was struggling to stand. "Oddish!" it squeaked as Erin lifted it gently. Just as she was about to open her mouth, the Oddish scuttled away into the tall grass and away from her. "Oh.." she mumbled, continuing along her way. She had been looking forward to a battle. "Better luck next time, right, Amazon?" she muttered to her Pokemon, who chirped in agreement.

Route 1

Remilia tilted her head at the Taillow that just landed next to her, eying the Sitrus Berry she had in hand. A glint of hope flashed in her eyes as she saw him stand there, completely undefended and his guard dropped. She always wanted a Taillow, as it would evolve into a Swellow, which was both a good attacker and useful for flying in her eyes. Once she noticed the hungry look in his coal grey eyes, a small giggle escaped her lips as she reached for her bag, fishing out another Sitrus Berry and gave it to the Taillow.

"Want one?" She offered to him as she tilted her head slightly to the left, a small and sweet smile gracing her lips as she spoke. "You seem kind of hungry."



Vukasin's eyes snapped open once he saw a swarm of Combee float over his head. A smile graced his lips as he rolled over on his back, watching their graceful flying. Truth to be told, he wanted a Combee on his team, but right now, he felt too dang lazy to get up and take a Pokeball to capture one of them.

Lucy strolled into Route 1 easily, seeing as her home was still within a reasonable distance. At this, she was hoping that the feeling of becoming homesick wouldn't find her later in her travels. The only thing that took her mind off the subject was the fact that she just now nearly tripped over something. She stopped abruptly, but her stance was too awkward and she stumbled to the right, caught up in her own feet.

She let out a soft gasp in shock; not really being the screaming type. Once Lucy gained her balance before falling to the ground, she looked to see what had caused the little detour. Having been lost in thought, she didn't even notice what she almost stepped over. A small Pokemon was peering it's head out of the ground, watching the flustered girl.

Lucy regained her composure as she brushed herself off. She stared right back at the Pokemon, recognizing it as a Diglett. "You should watch where you're popping up," she mildly scolded it. It was quite possible that Lucy just wasn't watching where she was going, or that the Diglett just wanted to have some harmless fun. She went with the later, because it was easier to blame the Pokemon than herself.

"You're kind of..." She trailed off, deciding at the last second to stop herself. The word she was looking for was "cute," however, she didn't want to be caught saying that outloud. Especially since it was a Diglett; most people would probably just find them annoying with all the trouble they can cause. Lucy's hand twitched for her Totodile's pokeball. If she followed through, this would be her first Pokemon battle. A burst of excitement shot through Lucy as she shakily clutched the pokeball. "Go, Jagger!" She exclaimed spinning the ball through the air. The Totodile materialized from his previous energy state; he was more excited than Lucy, and even more ready for a battle.

[center]Anna emerged from the bushes off to the side of Route 1. She was running fast, and obviously out of breath. "Get back here right now Leilei!" She squealed, stomping her foot on the ground. The Leaul she had been chasing paused and stared at her. It's ears fell back slightly and it slowly approached Anna. Anna exhaled loudly with relief and bent down to pick the pokemon up. Anna's fingers brushed the cheeks of the water type pokemon. The moment she made contact with her pokemon, it raced away again with a cheeky grin on it's face. "Argh! Leilei!" Anna shrieked in frustration. Why was her pokemon playing this game with her? Anna sat down in the middle of the path angrily. She crossed her arms over her chest and pouted, hoping the Leaul would come to her out of pity. Sure enough, after a few moments, Leilei padded over to her and curled up on her lap. Anna beamed at this and gently stroked the pokemon's head. "That's a good pokemon," she cooed.

The Taillow chirped happily, accepting to berry and gobbling it quickly, before fluttering closer to Remilia.

"Diglett!" the Pokemon replied, bobbing up and out of the ground around Lucy's feet, eager for a challenge. Diglett bobbed back under the ground, before bouncing up again and using Tackle on the Totodile.

A wild Petilil gazed at a girl with a Pokemon on the path, and walked slowly towards them cautiously.

Remilia giggled and pet the Taillow. It seemed to Remi he took a small liking to her, and it made a sweet smile appear on her lips. "Well, aren't you the sweetest little thing~" she cooed, a small giggle escaping her lips for the umpteenth time today. Remilia wasn't so sure what caused it; his big adoreable grey eyes or the way he chirped.

Even though Vukasin was too lazy to fight, Daciana had other plans. She sneaked behind a female Combee that was flying too low for her own good and jumped on her back, a burst of bright orange Embers coming out of her mouth, aiming at the Combee's head.

Lucy took a cautious step back as the Diglett tunneled under her feet and returned to the surface at random intervals. It only looked like it wanted to play, but that idea was quickly pushed to the side when, at one point, the Diglett disappeared and then reappeared in a more "rough" way; taking Jagger by surprise and knocking him into the air. Of course he didn't go very high, but it was the thought that mattered. Jagger landed on his bottom, but got right back up like it was nothing. He bounced side to side, eagerly awaiting orders. "Well in that case, use Scratch," Lucy pointed out. Jagger rushed forward with his body turned at an angle. His right arm was back, ready to swipe forward when nearing the Diglett.
