Tariana: I must have cried for an hour, or so it felt like, before I finally fell asleep again. Not that I'd wanted to fall asleep, but I couldn't argue with my body.

Kaidin smirked slightly. There wasn't enough room for a horse in the other men's tents. He would wait a while, get the dumb thing to trust him, lead it away, kill it then capture the princess and see who would pay more for her: the king or men wanting a girl.

Lucifer: I manage, somehow, to get into the tent with Violet. I didn't trust that man, the scent of blood and the feeling of death was all around here. I didn't want to leave my two legged alone with him. There was also the smell of alcohol, so I knew that Couldn't be good
Violet: I giggle and pet his muzzle before lieing down and falling asleep
Jackson: I smile at her and once again lie next to her, falling asleep

Tariana: Although my sleeping was deep, it was also troubled and when I awoke in the morning I was clutching the chest piece of the prince's shirt.
