Carmen continued to stare at the butterfly. Then, she turned to Sam, and cocked her head again. Perhaps, she knew? It was worth a shot, in any case.

Mikey slowly started crawling closer to the bird, ready to fly away back into Sam's hair if it seemed like it was about to eat him... he was a couple of inches away when he looked up, I never knew a bird could look this big...

Cara took Carmen's hand and shook it like Jamai had shown her. "Cara," she answered while shaking it. After she let go, she watched in awe as Carmen turned into a bird and flew off. "What do you turn into?" she asked as she turned to Jamai, arms crossed.
Jamai looked at her. "A shadow."
"No! What animal?" Cara tried to copy eye-roll, but kind of failed.
Jamai shrugged, "I didn't know I did."

Arctic was on the beach letting the saltwater lap at her feet. The sky was clear and filled with stars. She got up and ran into the water shifing as she went. It was time to see the twilight zone. She hit the water and dived down as fast as she could. I was great to feel so weightless under the water. She saw glimmering lights grow brighter and then she saw millions of glowing fish, jellyfish and squids around her.

Carmen moved backwards a bit, a very human gesture, and she almost looked like she could be saying,
What the hell? though she was a bird. She studied the butterfly, who was now uncomfortably close to her.

That was very… human of the bird… So that means this is Carmen! Mikey thought to himself releived. He kept looking up at the bird as he crept a tad bit closer. Big bird… he thought to himself as he stared in amazement.

Sam laughed, the butterfly's dainty wings gently tickling her cheek. Then a distant, faint voice echoed through her thoughts, with a breezy tone to it...

Mikey looked up at Sam when she laughed. Crap… I need her to bring my clothes inside… He thought to himself as he flew up and started flutterig his wings in her face again. Then he flew to the door and landed on the doorknob.

Carmen stared at the butterfly. Very human like indeed- she couldn't help but follow it, chirruping a bit.
"Peetre! Peetre! Peetre!"

Mikey paniced as the bird flew closer. Mabey this isn't Carmen… he thought to himself as he tried to fly back to Sam, but the bird was in the way… I'm going to be eaten aren't I? He asked himself.
