Shiro stared at the larger demon and her eyes narrowed as well. "Used to." She started blandly. She shifted her gaze to Alois and glared. "I'm six. Of course I'm not. And why would I?" She asked and smirked weakly.

Saki eyed the blonde boy behind the butler before looking at the butler with narrowed eyes. She wasn't quite fond of demons yet she didn't dislike them either. There were certain demons that she didn't mind but for some reason she didn't quite like the one in front of her. She shifted her glare to Alois, she didn't like the kid's aura very much but she continued to be quiet and silently protect the girl.

His grin grew slightly now, following after her with ease. "i suppose you could say im like a jawbreaker, miss ... hard to crack, but sweet to taste ~" he whispered in her ear ever so softly, soon taking a few steps back to give some space between them. He found himself quite intrigued with the woman now, how she acted, and how simple yet detailed her words were all at once. He'd be sure to find her later down the road, that would be certain..

"i ... i don't feel quite right here though, out of place almost ... maybe my friend Joe has found a better place to live and can take me in ... o-or one of those nice ladies who raised me ..." she murmured softly, hugging one of her knee's carefully now as she looked to the window. She did not feel safe here, despite the comfort and kindness she was given ... she did not ... feel ... safe. she didn't know why though, which is what scared her the most.

The earl gritted his teeth, loosing his smile. "You talk back to someone of higher stature?!" the boy walked around Claude and got in the girl's face "you're lucky you aren't a Trancy maid." he looked back at Claude "how do you think Karen would react if she got a six year old to train along with making me happy, Claude?"

"Do you have a deep desire?" Harllequine's faced away from the girl, knowing her eyes were about to flash red. "Do you, honey?" he voice sounded like silk

"She would be humiliated if this one was prosperous as apposed to failing and receiving punishment" Claude said emotionless

Alois smiled at the girl "how would you like to be a Trancy maid?~?" his mood changed on a dime "you would be most adorable addition to my servants." The earl stood and twirled. "You will be well fed, and a nice room, right Claude?"

Sebeastian sighed and held out his gloved hands, palms up, taking the shears from Finnian. "We must always we careful with our tools, yes?" He transferred the broken shears to one hand and placed the other behind his back, standing tall. "The shrubs will not be trimmed today, it seems. Next time, remember to be more careful."

The innkeeper narrowed his eyes slightly after overcoming his shock. "Yes miss," he said, reaching for a key to one of the small rooms that rested along the street. (I'm assuming things worked like that in the 1800's… haven't been there recently. ._. ) he told her the fee and she paid for several days, taking her key, giving a curt nod, and heading back to Achilles. "Jawbreaker? Hard to break but sweet you say?" She asked as she replaced the lace gloves again with her riding gloves, hopping on her horse's saddle. She gave another coy smile. "I'm holding my tongue on that one."

Shiro growled and glared up at the earl. "What makes you think I'd ever want to be a maid for a brat like you!" She yelled, the cats behind her hissing. Her cheeks were flushed in anger and she bit her inner cheek to keep from yelling at the earl again.

"I know a much safer place for then with you Trancy." Saki growled lowly as she narrowed her red eyes at them. She didn't want Shiro to go with him since she had heard of terrible things about the Trancy manor.

"i ... i did, once ... but not anymore ..." she murmured softly, now gazing out toward the sky. "instead of worrying about the future or the past ... i try and live for now as best i can ..." she replied, closing her eyes for a moment, though she felt a sharp pain in her left eye and they quickly reopened. The back of her head was facing the girl, but her uncovered eye now tried to look from the corner to see if she could glance at the girl ... for her it felt as though the room grew cold.

He chuckled darkly and followed after her, now heading back to his small bike and standing on it once more. "good on you then, miss ... 'cause your tongue might get stuck on it like a pole in winte' if you tried going after it." He then spun his bike around, using the cane to propel himself closer toward the horse, stopping just in front of it. "might do ya better if ya stuck to tea and crumpets." he smirked. [i am sooooo tempted to draws some of these scenes between Lucius and Duchess Kaiiyen - especially the little bike scenes XD ]
