When she smiled, Wirt couldn't help but return the expression. "It is really cool, seeing you again though." He had to mention. It was so cool that she was here. This time around in the Unknown he had a friend. He wondered for a split second if anybody else was here this time. It wasn't too likely, he didn't think. "And here, of all places."

She nodded. "Y-yeah you too." She says, smiling sheepishly and rubbed her arm.

The beast let go and walked over to Maddie. "Give it." He said holding out his hand and glaring.

"NEVAHHH!" Maddie ran away giggling but Jennifer snatched her phone and deleted it "Awwwwwww it was cute!" Maddie whinned

Ruby scowled, confused. Those two know each other? Who is that guy anyway? She wondered, scratching the bark of the tree.

A small nagging at the back of his head began bugging him. He dismissed it at first. Wirt looked off to one side in the same awkward manner. "Yea.." He drew a quick breath, realizing the feeling was one of being watched. Were they being watched..? He took a glance around briefly, eyes darting from the left to the right, and turning his head slightly observantly, searching for a sign. "Hm..." He hummed under his breath, suddenly in thought. What if it was the Beast, watching them? Wanting to turn them into EdelWood trees?

Maddie walked away as Jennifer reutrned to the tree and just lay down with the cloak over her body

He considered whether or not to worry her about the subject of not, but the words slipped out anyway, in spite of himself. "Do you feel like we're being watched?" Wirt glared suspiciously at their surroundings, half-expecting the Beast's bright eyes to be peering at them from the thick, leaden shadows.
