Cubone waddled through the forest, looking all around her, momentarily forgetting about her anxiety. She soon remembered though, and the forest seemed to hear her thoughts. Trees seemed to lean over her, promising fear, and the bushes seemed to rattle on purpose. She braved through the forest anyhow, trying to ignore these details that continued to make themselves known. For a second, Cubone could see patches of light shining through the dense shrubs and trees. She pretended not to see it. She fixed her thoughts, looking for extra shelter, food, maybe even something pretty! She decided that scary thoughts were tiring, and that eating wasn't, so without much thought she waddled around looking for some berries. Cubone loved all flavors, so whatever she finds is a win-win for her.

Solgaleo flushed a bit when he laughed. "Well I've never heard of Sol as a nickname for me either. Probably because no one has ever nicknamed me...," they said, becoming quiet at the last part so Arc wouldn't hear. They stared at Arc's mane for a second, 'I wonder if his fur is soft...'. Solgaleo hadn't really encountered soft things often, only blankets. Because of his actions at the base, Pokemon tended to avoid them, small and tall.

There were reasons Red's loss never got spread around. Though Gold was a cocky one he had no desire to make the other seen as any less than he was. Besides, he was certain his victory had only come because the boy had spent too much time at the mountain's peak and was not in his best condition to fight. It had been a learning experience for him anyways and taught him what he really needed to do to be a strong trainer and protect Johto. It certainly had shown given that he hadn't fallen yet to another trainer despite the flaws he clearly had. "Hm, beat me someday? That's something had hasn't been done in a long time though I don't battle as much as I used to given that barely anyone makes it through the Elite 4," he mused though his eyes hadn't left the Noivern overhead. He wasn't even sure if one day anyone would beat him especially since he had thought over stepping down from his position sooner or later. Nobody would understand the toll being champion had brought to him over the years. Pushing the thought aside, he finally glanced sideways at Ambipom who was now leaning over his shoulder staring at the Pokemon overhead. "Think you can climb the trees and knock it down far enough for me to get a ball on it?" he mumbled to the Pokemon. Ambipom gave a nod of his head before launching himself from Gold's shoulder and into the nearest tree. While his Pokemon went to work, Gold reached one hand into his sweatshirt to grab the billiard cue while the other went to his backpack. Pulling a ball out as well, the teen lowered himself to the ground and enlarged the ball before placing it and awaiting for his own Pokemon to bring the other down for a clear shot. It was only a moment later that the cry of the Noivern could be heard followed by a few branches snapping over head. As the dragon Pokemon came into view, Gold gave one hit of the ball with the tip of his cue and sent it flying. The ball bounced off a tree behind the falling Pokemon before hitting it in the back and trapping it within.

Smirking slightly, Gold watched as Ambipom jumped down and grabbed the ball for him. Once the Pokemon handed him the ball he turned to Erika and held it out to her. "You wanted it so there ya go. I'm surprised my aim still is that good," he chuckled. It had been awhile since he had actually caught a Pokemon, especially in such a manner. He always had been a good shot with his cue whether it was aiming his pokeballs or simply playing billiards. As he waited for her to take the ball, he listened to her speak of a boy who stole a Totodile. Oh how he knew that boy all too well. "I wasn't going to say anything about you looking like him, but I can see it. He kinda is my rival. Ironic how the boy named Silver is rivals with the one named Gold. I'll tell you, you're nothing like him at all." He knew Silver better than most. The boy had been a pain when they were younger though of late he hadn't been so bad. They occasionally saw each other given that he had befriended Crystal and Gold was stuck seeing him when he visited the girl.

Well wasn't he impatient. It was a bit irritating. Pushing it off, she pushed her sunglasses down and pointed in the direction of the beach. "It is that way since the lake we flew over earlier is that way," she replied before giving her Salamence another pat to get him to move in the direction. The dragon gave a small grunt before beginning to move in the direction his trainer pointed. As they flew, she continued to take in the sights to the best of her ability though the forest made it hard to tell was what below given how many trees blocked the way. There might be many mysteries hiding in the forests themselves which interested her. As the beach came into view again, the champion directed her Pokemon down toward it with ease. It didn't seem like many of them had left though it didn't appear that Gold was present anymore either. She should have guessed. At least now she could properly take off once they landed.

erika stared at gold in amazement when he caught the noivern, blushing slightly. "w-woah! you didn't have to.. you're so sweet!" erika said quietly, as if she wanted nobody else to hear what she had said to gold. did he really just do that for her? he was really the best (and pretty much the only) friend she'd ever hadgrabbing the ball gently from him, she looked away shyly and scratched the badk of her head. "her name will be baroness. for ichirou." she whispered, staring at the pokeball for a moment before putting it in her bag. certainly she would be a good addition to her team. a very good addition. hades excitedly jumped around, rolling around on his back in the dirt. obviously somebody was excited to have a new team member, just as erika was. great arceus, was she happy about getting a noivern, too. she knew the noivern had to be a female—she trusted herself in believing that. when gold mentioned the boy, who she now knew was named silver, she nodded slowly. "actually, i have heard that his father was my uncle from my parents. maybe we're like, cousins or something. to tell you the truth, i kinda do believe the rumors.. anyway, what's silver like? is he mean?" erika asked, a bit of curiosity shining in her steel-grey eyes. if he was nothing like her and stole a totodile, surely he was a mean guy. she was mellow as can be, anyway, and had a bit of kindness in her. erika also thought of herself when she thought about silver, sighing. most avoided her because of her looks, and that made her feel bad (not to mention the fact that she seemed cold, which is also another reason why many didn't want to become friends with erika). she didn't mind all too much, though—in fact, she was fine with not having any friends. until gold came along, erika was mostly alone, doing things by herself and dealing with it. "speaking of silver, he sounds kind of.. troubled. i wonder why." erika said, mostly to herself, but also to gold as well.

vex looked up at the noibat, before nodding his head slowly. "n-not many k-know what i-it's like to lose somebody. i-i appreciate it." the mightyena squeaked, before wiping his eyes with his paws. "mind the s-stutter. i problems w-with it.." vex knew he probably sounded like a baby to these two, but it was only because bucky wasn't there to protect him. back when bucky was still with him, he was always his go-to bodyguard. and back when ophelia was still alive, vex had been free of his problems. no anxiety issues, no burdens, no anything. life was perfect—he only wished that everything would go back to the was it was. the way he was used to.

polaris soared through the sky, a smile on his face as he felt the wind blow through his fur. "ah, it really feels good to fly again." this was one of the few times where he actually got to relax (that certainly wasn't a word he heard much). as he flew up in the air, polaris couldn't stop thinking about how wonderful it was outside. it was sunny, and he could feel the sun's rays shining down on his back. "gah. it's warm out today. i better restock my berry collection right now." the noivern sighed, shaking his head. he spotted the tree he lived near, and landed on the highest branch to see where his cave was. jumping down from the tree and running in his cave as soon as he saw it, he grabbed two of his handmade baskets for the berries he was about to pick. while polaris walked, he sighed again when he realized how tired he was, noticing how his body ached from the intense training he preformed everyday. he had to push himself all the time, though, or no trainer would want him. that was just his odd mindset, though. when polaris saw a little cubone walking through the forest, he called out to her from afar. "hey! are you looking for berries? i have baskets if you are!" the noivern waved one of the baskets in the air at the cubone, smiling at the other pokemon.

Indentation The shorter girl had a difficult time attempting to groom her Mudsdale, though that didn't discourage her one bit. Biting her bottom lip and sighing heavily, she finally decided that the job she had done was good enough, and he didn't seem to be complaining at all about the attention he was receiving. Reaching into her backpack which she had set on the ground near her feet, she crouched low and opened up the jar filled with Pokebeans that was stashed underneath a few random necessities strewn about the bag. Grabbing two purple beans and a rainbow one--some of TJ's favorites, she unconsciously slipped the treats to the large Pokemon who nudged her anxiously in demand for more. "No. You're at your limit for the day. You've already had like fifteen thousand." Chevy huffed, stuffing the jar back into her bag before zipping it and throwing it over her shoulder. "Let's get going, shall we? Maybe we can see what those trainers are up to." Though Ty-Jo wasn't the smallest or stealthiest Pokemon, she made sure to keep him out in case a hasty escape was needed. Besides, it's not like she couldn't call out some of her other companions to assist her.

Indentation Finding himself entranced with the constant waves of the ocean lapping at the toes of his boots, he was careless enough to ignore the drop of a pokeball from his belt, splitting open and revealing his empoleon, Kodiak, who had invited himself out with reckless abandon. He was quite a surefire one, and even Edrick sometimes had a difficult mission trying to retrieve him back to the ball. Doomsday hadn't been one to enjoy the company of others, and hastily retreated back into his ball with a paw at Edrick's leg. Understanding the Houndoom's lack of enjoyment of interacting with others, he crouched low in the sand and watched with a heavy yawn as his starter penguin pokemon wandered through the waves, sometimes chasing them and running away from them like the dork he was.

Indentation Though she wasn’t much of a people person, she knew when to have manners when it came to others. She had turned her head to speak to the Johto Champion, quickly distracted by the Kanto Champion falling into the dirt directly next to her. Vi ran her slender fingers across Ho-oh’s feathers in a thankful manner, using her expressive body language instead of words, since it was obvious the legendary would understand that. Moving herself away from the large group of trainers, she couldn’t help but ask herself why she was chosen for this mission. She didn’t have the strongest Pokémon, she wasn’t the best trainer. If anything, she was actually quite horrible in battle, though that never stopped her. She was more of a problem-solver than anything, and found herself looking among the other trainers as if they were children, even if some were the same age as her, one she noticed was older, though she didn’t care to focus on the preliminaries. Tapping a pokeball gently, she smiled softly as her Manectric, Lux, paced around her protectively, watching the others with a keen eye.

Indentation Though the boy was lazy, he didn’t forget to thank the legendary Pokémon, grinning as he dismounted and stretched his legs, looking around him with wide eyes. His Rapidash was soon released and stood stiffly beside him, soon calming as he brushed his tan palm against her neck, calming the gentle beast with his own touch. He understood her feelings about other Pokémon, and took this time as a good sign to introduce her to more crowded areas. Though, if Sunray got too overwhelmed, he’d gladly return her to the pokeball and bring out another, maybe none at all if he felt like it.

Trying not to let the praise go to his head, he shrank the cue down once again and tucked it into his pocket. Many people didn't realize how kind he actually could be given his status. He took on the burden of protecting and making the people of Johto happy the best he could. Catching a Pokemon for her was really the least he could do. Of course he knew he didn't owe anyone anything, but he tried to show he was giving from time to time and was more than someone waiting to be battled all the time. Pushing it aside, he heard her go back to the topic of Silver. The boy wasn't necessarily one he wanted to talk about but if she wanted to hear about him then who was he to deny her. Letting a soft sigh escape his lips he began to move forward again deciding that it would be best to at least continue through the forest as he spoke of his rival. "Well, he was a huge jerk when I first met him at the beginning of my own journey. I eventually became the one to help track him down though every time I beat him in battle he took off before I could take him in," he said with a shake of his head. "But it was obvious to me that he was a broken boy. He was searching for answers. I never knew exactly what he was searching for but that was none of my business. He ended up not being too bad, though he's pretty damn cold and a bit edgy if you ask me."

Allowing Zyo to land, the champion gave her Salamence a gentle stroke on the head before dismounting him along with Riley. Returning the dragon, she put his ball back onto her belt and allowed the Pikachu to jump back up onto her shoulder. Hearing Leo speak to her once again she quirked a brow slightly. He must have run off before they had previously been told what to do or at least that was what she could figure from his question. "Well, I guess the plan from what was said earlier is to break off in at least pairs and explore and come back to this area once it gets dark and if Ho-oh is needed it only needs to be called for and it'll come to help," she responded before casting her gaze toward the large legendary that was sitting out on the beach. It looked to be relaxing at the moment and leaving everyone that was around alone. At least it was unlike its trainer.
