They were real anyway and I had to find a way to use them to get her off my back knowing full well that he had sent her here just to spy on me, to see if I had truly come back as the real Alice.

As Leon thought while in his room, he came to a conclusion to mend the ties between himself and Shadow, even if slightly. He walked out, noticing she was walking down the hallway. He easily caught up with her. "Miss Shadow," He called after her, walking beside her now. "I do want to apologize for the way I've acted. I've been most inhospitable, and for now, would be willing to tell you the truth if you promise not to tell anyone else. I will not threaten you, but I will only tell you if you promise not to speak of this to anyone. If you did, the aftermath would leave me deserted, alone, and heartbroken." He said, to her, watching her. "Again, I am deeply sorry for the way I have treated you, and wish to become better friends."

((I apologize deeply for my inactivity, but I haven't even been on this site for weeks. I've had this streak of art and theater and I just haven't had time to go back into writing, but I did love this role play a lot and I hope that I can make up my inexcusable absence in time))

Cecily's eye soften into sympathetic ones as she saw her younger friend cry. Although her childishness was higher than most, Cecily still had that motherly feeling from time to time. It wasn't always fun though since it also caused for worry which lead Cecily to also try to get rid of that habit. Cecily calmly sat beside Alice and patted her shoulder reassuringly. Cecily smiled softly and nodded. "Well, its your birthday tomorrow of course! Why shouldn't I or the other servants know about it? Its a wonderful time for all and we servants have the right to celebrate in our own small way. I promise we won't do anything that would interfere with our work." Then Cecily tapped her chin slightly and stood up. "Alice, I think you should rest a bit. A nap would do you good. I'll finish up the housework for that day, I don't think the master would mind if I traded shifts with you anyway. I can make it like a little game for myself in fact, then it won't be so boring." Cecily was again cheerful and optimistic as she headed for the door of Alice's room and walked out. Before Cecily left to get to work though, she looked over at the handle on Alice's door. For a moment Cecily's conversation with the master replay through her mind about how she had to keep an eye on Alice. Cecily was very close to locking the door when she heard footsteps. On set was light, belonging to a woman, and the other was a bit heaving, belonging to a man. Being that Alice was in her room, Cecily knew it was Miss Shadow and master. Cecily was startled a bit and ran off to finish the work she promised to do with not as so much as even looking back at Alice's door, let alone locking it. Luckily there wasn't much left to be done, and Cecily would finish soon.

I shook my head"No it's not just that tomorrow is while yes it is my birthday, it is also the day my family died in a house fire and I was the only one who made it out"I said before she left hoping she heard me,I then curled up on my bed and did as she said closing my eyes. I did not fall asleep though, I was just laying there with my eyes closed not really sure what else I could do, that man was already on my tail about me breaking free and Cecily was to keep an eye on me. So once again I was a prisoner trapped in a cell but this time I knew the truth and wanted to break free: I began to think what Shadow and that man were doing just up the hall from my room....

After the feast at my house that we had, had to celebrate me catching the large game; I took the horse and went back out to town.I rode around looking at the people as I passed by some looked at me like I was a weirdo because of my rank and I wasn't out here with a man at my side. But unlike those other girls I wasn't frail and delicate and could handle myself in most situation; for no reason I remember what day it was today it was that Alice smith's birthday it was also the day she went missing. Since it had already been a year they had already held a funeral for her,I felt so bad for her farther the man had lost his wife the same day fifteen years ago and now his daughter was gone and possible dead. He never came out to party's anymore and was almost never outside his house; I wonder if he would ever be ok. I thought about this the whole time I was riding through town.

Shadow cringe when Leon said her name, She wanted to run away and hide but since she was raised with better manners she slowed and waited for him get caught up with her. As he said he wanted to apologize, her eyes got big and wide and she looked down to play with her dress. " I would like the truth Leon... and also i'm very sorry how i acted as well. I shouldn't have meddled with your servants.. I hope you may forgive me. I would like to become better friends as well." She said standing still and not looking him in the eye.

Leon smiled lightly. "Then come with me. I'm afraid if any of my servents heard this, they would abandon me and hate me for what I've done." He said, turning and walking towards his room. He figured the library would probably be a bad place to talk, due to most of his research being on the tables. He stepped into his room, and waited for her so he could close the doors. "And as I said before, you cannot tell anyone." He said to her with a soft sigh.

Geneveive kept walking towards her home, the three strange men still following her. They kept walking faster towards her, and she would also walk faster. Once she rounded the corner, they stopped, and she went on her way back to the house. She had to sneakily go to her room, so she wasn't caught by her father. "Oh, so you're back?" She squeaked out of surprise, then looked behind her to see Lamont standing in the entry way. "Oh, it's you. Yeah, I have to go change now." "Alright, I'm leaving for a bit. Mom wants me to get her some fruit for tonight." He said, walking out the door, and heading towards the market.

Cecily might have heard the last bit of Alice's statement if she had not been startled off to her work. Being that she had been working all morning, Cecily saw the one of the last jobs to do was sweeping the floors. She groaned a bit inwardly. She didn't like idea of sweeping up and down those long hallways and then having to go back into the rooms and sweep them up as well. I promised Alice though, Cecily thought as a look of determination replaced the one of exasperation as she grabbed the broom and started to work. She decided to start in the hallways before she moved onto the dinning room and the main foyer. She would start on the first floor and make her way up and pass by all the rooms. Then she would go back and sweep through all the guest rooms, the master's room, and the servant rooms then the library and she would end in the bigger parts on the first floor. Cecily tossed the end of the broom from one hand to the other as she though about how to make the chore a little more bearable. Finally, Cecily came up with the idea of getting the job done as quietly as she could, walking along on her tiptoes as she pretended if she made any sound she would wake a horrible monster. It was a childish game, but it was those that Cecily loved the most.

Now in a much lighter mood, Daniel pushed aside the last stack of papers and decided to have a walk around his manor. After all as the head of the house he was to make sure that everything was going smoothly. As Daniel walked by some of the maids would stop and curtsy while saying "good day Master Daniel". Daniel smiled a bit and gave them a slight wave to tell them that they could return to their work. In the kitchen the chef was busy working on lunch for both Daniel and the one other resident of manor, his sister Victoria. After a small talk with the chef Daniel headed out and decided to check up on his sister to make sure she was doing well. Ever since her husband died Victoria had been no fun at all. She didn't really even love he man either but yet she was so very depressed about her situation. Daniel found it wrong that she was allowing herself to sit neck deep in self pity, but then again there could have always been the case where to some degree Victoria might have cared for her husband and actually blamed herself a bit for his death. He died of a illness, not a neglectful wife, Daniel had told her time and time again but it never seemed to lift her darkened heart. Daniel didn't like her that way at all, being mostly that Daniel himself was a bright an upbeat person who cannot shoulder the troubles of others well.

Shadow slowly followed tring not to be fooled by his charm. She walked into his room. She looked at him frightened. She stood still in the middle of the room. She looked down then at him. " what do you want to tell me Leon?" she asked her bottom lip slightly trembling. She shivered with fear. Who wouldn't blame her this same man had threatened her and her maid.. Who was more like a mother and best friend.

Leon closed the door, then walked forward, towards the window. "As you may know, my parents died a few years back. They left me, their only son, the family fortune. I live alone here with what few servants I have. What you may not know, my father had no siblings, and my mother's family was assassinated by another angry noble. This leaves me with no family, as my grandparents are also all dead." He turned to look back at her. "Thus, the only people to keep me company are the few servants who live here. However, this is where the secret comes into play. They are not in their right mind. They are in a state of hypnosis. How it is caused, I am afraid I cannot say. Now, Alice has broken free, and it's only a matter of time before Cecily follows." He said, now walking to the bed, sitting on the end of it. "And if they leave, I'm alone once again, and I return to my state of human depravity. Therefore, they have to stay, or I may just go mad." He sighed, hanging his head slightly. "I know it is wrong. It is very wrong, but I need the company, and cannot afford to buy a servant in the slave trade, I am always outbid because I have no source of income and wish to save what money I have. And anyone I can afford wouldn't be able to keep a conversation because they are dumb or deaf, or seemingly insane." He added. "That is the whole truth of why you must not meddle with them. They are my friends, even if they don't know it. I've had Alice here for so long, it's sad that she'll likely be leaving. Cecily adds such a nice, childlike ambience that it would be hard to let her go."
