~Lupa - Fox ~
Before I got a response from the other tribute, I could feel the chariot jerk and start to move, throwing me to the floor. I landed on my tail, which, surprisingly, hurt. "Ouch....."I squeaked, rubbing my tail and getting back up just as the chariot moved into the view of the crowd. I tried to look fierce and powerful, but instead, I looked sheepish and kind of silly. I waved a little bit, smiled, and when it was all over, I nearly ran straight off the chariot. "I'm so glad that's over....." I breathed, leaning against the wall of the Training Center. My ears and tail agreed with the rest of me, finally. My tail swished back and forth behind me, and my ears her flipped back in relief. A tribute in a dark T-shirt and dark jeans who appeared to have the unmistakable glossy black wings of a crow walked up to me. "Glad it's over Foxy?" He said, his voice so cocky it was annoying. I glared at him, slapped him and walked inside and I was instantly greeted by my mentor and told to go to my room and get dressed.
~Conner - Crow ~
As my chariot started moving, it jerked and my wings spread out and helped me balance, so I didn't fall over. I did end up hitting the girl that was next to me with my wings a couple of times. When the crowd came into view I spread my wings and grinned, hitting the girl beside me with my wings yet again, which, if no one had been watching, surely end up in myself getting slapped. I waved and cheered with the crowd, and clapped some too. I don't know if it was me, or some of the other tributes, but some of them looked like they wanted to get up here and slap me too. When the parade ended, I jumped off my float, which was actually pretty easy. My wings stayed spread, and I knew I'd probably have to master them before the games. I saw a fox-girl tribute leaning against a wall and I walked up to her. I couldn't remember her name, so I just said this: "Glad it's over Roxy?" But my 'R' sounded like a 'F' so it sounded like, "Glad it's over Foxy?" This earned me a glare and a slap in the face. "Why do girls love slapping me?" I asked to no one really and looked up at the sky. I felt someone grab my arm and pull me into the Training Center building. It was my mentor, Chumi. "Go up to your room and get that-" He said, making werid movements to indecate the make-up on my face. "Off your face." He finished, pushing me towards the stairs.
(So should the tributes wait until the next day to start training, or right away? I forgot, sorry!)
Do you hear the people s i n g?
Singing a song of a n g r y men?
It is the music of a people
Who will n o t be slaves again!
When the beating of your h e a r t
Echoes the beating of the d r u m s
There is a life about to start
When t o m o r r o w comes!
Do you hear the people s i n g?
Lost in the valley of the n i g h t ?
It is the music of a people
Who are c l i m b i n g to the light!
For the wretched of the e a r t h
There is a flame that never d i e s
Even the darkest nights will end
And the s u n will rise!
