Like Daniel, the boom reminded Cassia that there were just 8 tributes left, shockingly different from that morning, when Cassia remarked on how there were still lots of tributes left. "We won't be sure until tonight. That's when we'll see who's died." She said, pacing over to Daniel and stood next to him. One thing was for sure, with only 8 tributes left, Daniel was becoming less useful to her. If the numbers got too low, Daniel would be on guard and waiting for her to make her move. So she had to do it sooner rather than later.
"Hey look at that." Cassia said, elbowing Daniel in the side and pointing to smoke rising in the distance. "Someone made a fire. Want to go check it out?"

Tears flooding down her face, Juniper leaned against him, feeling entirely helpless. When Benji spoke about burying her, Juniper finally got the courage to look at the little girl she was holding... just a child... she didn't deserve this. "B..but, the Capitol is going to take her back home right? Back to her family?" Juniper remembered when dead tributes came home before, the Capitol flying the coffins home so their families could bury them. "Maybe we should lay her under the orchard blossoms, and by the creek. Someplace peaceful."

βmale. 15. tags: KyraJoshua jumped at the cannon, another death... Suddenly aware of Kyra gripping onto him, he blushed as red as a tomato. "Uh yeah sure!" Joshua exclaimed, hurriedly going to get wood. As soon as he put wait on his stung foot, pain shot up through his body. Not wanting to seem weak for Kyra, he tried to make his way towards the woods to get something to make a fire with. Coming back with relatively dry wood, even though it was still mostly soaked from the earlier rain, he did his best to assemble a fire. Soon enough, the boy got a decent blaze going, although because the wood was wet, large amounts of smoke began to tumble from the logs, flying up in the sky almost as a beacon to where they were.
