Delaware sat under a tree in America's yard as she read a book silently but worrying about Alaska.She closed the book and sighed until looking around still sitting under the tree.

Minnesota smiled,"I look so small. I've grown a lot haven't I? I can't wait to be an adult like America." She sighed,"I feel like a child and I don't like it. What about you? Have you even felt that way?"

"You've grown up a lot, so has everyone," Illinois laughed lightly, studying his siblings expressions and features in the picture. A small sliver of their lives frozen in piece. To a country, the photo would be more like a small, invisible crumb. "Enjoy while you're still a child, Minnesota. It isn't fun being grown up nor do you want to be an adult like America. Too much responsibilities. Just imagine being a nation, the massive weight on their shoulders. I think that's why we exist- to take off some of the weight of a nation and carry it ourselves." The older sibling murmured, shuffling through the pictures again. "Yeah, you wanna stay that way. It's better to have childish traits because it keeps things new."

Minnesota smiled at the photo. She really liked it. Her gaze stayed on the photo. It's so funny to see the states then and now look at them. Grown up. She hummed to let him know she was listening,"Do you think yourself as a child? Or do you think you're an adult?" She asked. His words made sense to her and she agreed with him. But that didn't really change how she wanted to be an adult.
