Jessica smiled but jumped, hearing a knock on the door. Her head was up and looking. She looked back at brendon with a confused look. She grumbled and growled then curled up on his chest.

"Can you hide?" He whispered, afraid who ever it was would take her.

Jessica grabbed the end of the blanket, grabbed her bottle and hid under the bed, in the blanket. Only her sapphired eyes were visible. She whined softly as she held her bottle.

Brendon wrapped his hand and ran over to answer the door.

Jessica waited for him to come back. She held on to her bottle and curled up in the blankets.

"Hey man. Wanna go hunting near the river?" Shane, his friend, who was 6 ft 5 with brown hair and blue eyes, had asked.

Brendon held up his wrapped hand. "I hurt my hand, I don't think I'll be able to hunt very well." He replied truthfully since his hand hurt.

"How did you do that? May I come in?" Shane asked, sensing something was off with him.

"Sure." He replied as he stepped to the side and opened the door wider. He was afraid he'd see Jessica.

Jessica hid back more as she heard another male. She was scared and whined softly. 'Is he going to hurt me', she asked.

shane smiled. "So what happened to your hand? Did your girlfriend break it?" He teased as he walked in.

"No Shane." He replied softly with a smirk and a soft chuckle. 'I don't think so.' he thought. "So why do you want to go hunting all a sudden?"
