I narrowly dodge it and smile, my blade hitting his " its been a while since I've had someone who made practice worth while." I tell him and move my position . I was awake now, adrenaline going.

-----He allowed the hit, and bounced back, and grin spreading across his face. ""Well, maybe it's because you've been training with the mundanes again," he laughed and charged ahead, blade by his side.

I dodged back and chuckled " the only mundane I've trained with moved. " I tell him and judge his next move as well as my own. Fighting was like a game of chess, you had to think ahead.

-----"Is that so? Oh, dear, Wayland. Seems like you need a new one," he laughed, stopping for a moment. He watched, looking thoughtful. "Was the mundane any good?"

" rough around the edges, that's foe sure, but would have made a decent fencer." I said as I made my next move having calculated it and caught my breathe.

" if a snake wishes to bite someone, he doss not reveal when he will strike or where." I tell him, prior that I hit him but not losing focus from it.

-----"But you are not a snake. Or did you just not notice that?" he grinned, moving again. This felt like a little game of who was more clever. But the outcome was all the same. Not much light streamed into the room, as it seemed someone forgot to turn on the lights. It didn't really matter anyway, though.

" so the same principle cannot be used foe shadowhunters?" I ask him, dodging his move but not quick enough. He for a hit on me. " boards even." I say chuckling a bit and repositioning.

The demon grunted once, already bored. "I did not say I knew what your uncertainty was about. I said I knew it was there. And my dream was just fulfilled, or can you not see that?" Licking some blood from it's chin and opening its maw for a gaping laugh, it continued, eyes blazing with deadly fire. "Now, petty little shadowhunter; do you dare go against an immortal?" Suddenly, it's eyes flashed green. "Do you dare harm your former friend? What if she is still somewhere here, her soul suppressed?"
