Anna wasn't dumb, she was well aware of the stories she had heard of guardians and their witches. They spent an insurmountable amount of time together. They always formed a bond of some kind that was incredibly strong. She hadn't known if it was real or not until now. As she sat there with her hand in his thick fur, she felt it. That weird part of her he had loosened up seemed to open wider. She played with one of his ears, for some reason, she was more than sure that he wouldn't hurt her. After all, a Guardians job is to protect witches, not harm them. "I think you may be my Guardian, Lion. Figures."

Drew purred out a laugh,laying on his side.His ear twitched a bit as her fingers touched it,but he didnt really mind.He stretched out again, his claws shooting from his paws slightly.

Corvo's chuckling turned to hearty laughter when River punched him. "I'm flat broke, as always." he turned his pockets inside out to prove his point. "You got anything? Or are we going to have to try the puppy eyes tactic?" He smiled as he spoke, strangely relaxed. He tucked his pockets back in and smoothed down his dark brown hair.

I'm turning into Grumpy Pants. The boy thought to himself, shaking his head. He turned down a small alley and allowed his form to change. As a feline, he could jump higher and always used that to his advantage. He climbed up on top of a dumpster then began the task of using the balconies to reach the roof of the one story building. Up top, he shifted back and kicked aside an old rusted can. Home sweet home. He looked around the rooftop that was home to an old blanket, his guitar, and a healthy supply of bandages and disinfectant.

"I've got the money, as usual. You need to figure out a way to obtain some money! And I don't mean stealing it," River muttered as she started on the path that led out if the forest and toward the town. The light wind picked its way through the trees and leaves. River breathed it in and felt her body come to life. She smiled, looking around to see several if the flowers around her had suddenly bloomed.

Corvo walked alongside her, his footsteps were silent against the familiar forest floor. "I think we both know that that is not going to happen. I am not one for working. Thievery is the only choice if you wish for me to have some money." he said with a factual tone. He was quite positive that he wouldn't be able to hold his own at any human job. It was likely he would get frustrated and shift, only to stir up a whole mess of other problems. "For now, I'll just leave the money part to you."

She frowned and swatted at him. Being a lion, he probably barely felt it. "And what exactly is so funny?" she didn't usually lose control of her emotions but she had the strangest desire to just yell at him. "I've gone seventeen years without friends and ten of those years without family. I've been on my own for a long time so suddenly having you around isn't exactly easy for me to deal with!"

Drew hissed,letting a low growl slip out.He stood up,not in the mood now.And walked back into the hidden shadows.He snarled softly,laying back down.

"So nice of you to make the money earning my responsibility," River responded, feeling a bit cramped upon entering the town. "Which cafe are we going to? The one in the center if town, or the one on the other side?" River stopped, waiting both for Corvo to catch up and him to decide.

Corvo weighted both options. When his stomach growled in the demand of food, he came to his decision. "The one in the center of town is closer." he pointed out, patting his stomach as though that would silence it. "I might start trying to eat you if I am not fed soon enough." he joked. He rubbed his hands together and continued on, figuring by the time River responded, it wouldn't be too hard to change courses if she desired the other cafe.

(recap~: Zach and Maggie fought off a group of hunters, Anna and Drew met each other. Erm... Corvo and River are heading to the cafe for some food, you can probably join them if you want. Taru is being confronted by a hunter. The Doctor and Steal are testing a new type of poisonous chocolate. I think that's about it.)
