I walk into the cafeteria and notice two people standing there I stand in the middle of the room and decide to walk over to the people. I put the hood over my head to cover my face I'm scared I've never done this before .

Ebony walked hesitantly into the room they called the "cafeteria". She stood in the door way studied the people in the room. It was awfully crowded in here... Every draki she knew had a hard time in muggy, cramped, spaces. Her stomach worked into knots as the skin she wore shimmered in and out of golden-brown scales. "H- hello?" she croaked, her voice strained by her anxious nerves.

Vince stood up from the table "well I'll see you guys later? I'm gonna go find my room"

She looked over at the girl entering the cafeteria. She watched as the girl mouthed "Hello" a couple of times, but she couldn't hear her. She looked terrified, poor thing. She stood, smiling at her and waved for her to come over. "This isn't going to go well." She thought to herself. "First person she meets in a nameless mute girl. Oh, joy."

Ebony smiled in relief and practically sprinted over to her soon-to-be-friend... Hopefully. By the time she reached the table, her eyes pupils turned to the reptilian. She smiled as sweetly as she could manage and sat down across from her. "I'm Ebony," she said with a hurried and anxious voice.

((I'm going to switch to first-person. third person is hard considering I don't have a name and all XD)) I smiled, noticing her yes. Not the strangest thing I'd seen in the last two hours, i ignored it, resisting the urge to stare. i almost believed i was normal for a second, opening my mouth to reply. When no sound came out, I remembered. Oops. I grabbed my notepad and pen, flipping to the first blank page. "Hello!" I wrote. "Nice to meet you, Ebony (that is how you spell it, right?). I'm reluctant to inform you that I am mute. This meaning I cannot speak. I don't exactly have a name, either."
