Alice winced nodding "Probably..." She said softly standing up. She pushed open a door and into the kitchen. A sink stood near a window and she nudged open the door "Found one." She called to Dominic pushing the door open the rest of the way to let him through. She leaned against the door waiting patiently for him. She ran her fingers through her jet black hair again, as it was becoming a habit.

Niko nodded back as he went back downstairs to eat. He picked out what looked best, sat down, and started to devour his food. It was great to finally eat some real, home cooked food after living a hunt-and-gather life style for so long. "This is pretty good," Niko complimented. This was probably one of the things he missed the most from the old days. Before he realized Niko had licked his plate clean. He wanted to grab seconds but he resisted the temptation. Farah probably wouldn't be to happy if he went over board and ate every thing. There was Sisi too, maybe she'd want a bite if she was feeling better all he could do right now was listen to the conversation between Alice and Dominic unfold.

Dominic followed Alice into the kitchen and tested the sink. Nothing but a sad, sludgy trickle came out.
"Thought so," he muttered, "They must be getting their water from somewhere else. It's alright."
He shrugged and walked back towards the table. He sat down and started rewrapping his wound.
"This is a pretty nice place," he commented, "I could get used to hanging out here."
Of course he knew that wasn't an option with all the wild animals still causing problems and that mysterious lab to deal with, but still.

Alice sighed following him to the dining room. She wasn't that disappointed that the sinks didn't work, afterall she was afraid of water. Being a cat hybrid had its ups and downs. She listened to Dominic running her fingers through her jet black hair then resting them in her lap. She nodded to Dominic in agreement before her bright green eyes shifted over to Niko then back to Dominic. She wasn't really sure of what to say and she didn't talk much so she sat there quietly yet very observant and listening closely. Finally she spoke "How was your life, well, before the apocolypse?" She asked her voice soft. She didn't want to press him, to make him tell her something he didn't want to, but she was curious.

(OK... I'm sorry about this, but I think I kind of gotta leave. Which sucks, because this was really cool...
But I don't think I can keep up. Kiere and Lionel can both have gone missing or something after a Word almost killed the both of them, and now they're hiding somewhere in the Pacific... Does that work?

Dominic shrugged,
"Nothing much to report. Lived with my parents, went to school, made passing grades, goofed off in class, fought with my sister," he said.
He nibbled his lip as he remembered his dream from the night before. He hoped that it wouldn't plague him tonight, but with his luck it probably would. He wondered what had happened to his family, if they were still alive...
Probably not, he thought. His face fell as he sunk deeper into his own thoughts.
