{Welcome back CreativA. ^.^ I know how you feel--recently I've been having a lot of RL troubles too. QAQ}
Ulquiorra glanced back at Sky, determining that she was speaking with her Soul Reaper half. A cannibal Arrancar was odd at best, though he supposed the Espada's consumption of Hollows was an offhand form of cannibalism in its own way. He took another step and his muscles rippled, leaving his stomach screaming in agony. Sweat broke out across his brow again and it took all his might not to wince in pain.
"Damnit. It's times like this that I could actually use Innocence and she's nowhere to be found." He hissed softly to himself, emerald eyes boring a hole into the floor. He flicked back his ebony hair and spoke, this time to Sky. "It's better you don't have a conscience in a place like this. As I've said before, we Espada feel no remorse at killing our "comrades" if it means we can become more powerful.
-------
Byakuya's solemn face snapped to the door, noting that Lieutenant Hinamori's spiritual pressure was increasing, along with Ichigo's and a newcomer he had never felt before. He was distinctly aware that the spiritual pressure did not, in fact, belong to a Soul Reaper and a part of him turned icy. He had a feeling that he would only feel bothered by the intrusion and he had enough work to do already. There were some problems in the Kuchiki family that he had immersed himself in to fixing them as well as the daily reports for his squad and the threats of god knows what else.
He leaned back in his chair, hot cup of tea steaming by his slender, pale hand. His eyes were unreadable as he stared at the door, a stack of paperwork in front of him, neatly piled. When they grew close enough, he spoke, knowing that they would hear him.
"I'm quite sure you're aware that I have better things to do than deal with the arrivals of those from the World of the Living. I have enough to deal with already and visiting the Soul Society and coming to me is something I am also quite sure you know is a very bad idea. What do you want?" He asked, voice cold.
----------
Ichigo glanced back at Elle, surprised to feel small waves of hostility rolling off of her. He gave her an encouraging, half-smile before allowing himself to laugh a little. "I'm sure you meant that as a joke, Hinamori-san, but I have a feeling he really would come to fight us if he wanted to." He grimaced, thinking of his first encounter with the bloodthirsty, if not slightly crazy, Captain Kenpachi Zaraki. Their fight had nearly killed him.
As Ichigo approached the old-style Japanese building, he felt Byakuya's spiritual pressure increase and expand. He sighed in irritation at the Captain's caustic words and sent Elle a look that said "he's always like this, don't mind him."
------------
Akiko smiled and struggled to sit up, still feeling tired despite her recent rest. She watched Hisaraku hold their child and felt a warm flutter of love for the both of them. It fought against her worry and made her heart seem lighter.
"Well, I think we should all eat." She said.
-------------
Doku appraised both Aya and Tisagu with an unreadable expression, though the smile that was hinted at his lips was very far more pleasant. "Don't you need to retrieve your belongings Tisagu?" He asked, tossing a peach pit in the air and catching it easily. "By your behavior, it seems it would be bad should someone other than yourself find it."
------------
Aya snorted and rolled her eyes. "You're an idiot if you think you can take on Aizen alone. I don't even think all of the Captains could defeat him without using the limits of their powers." She sighed resignedly.
