"I was thinking we could go somewhere we haven't gone yet. I wonder what is that direction." Cassia pointed to the southeast. Glancing up at Daniel, she offered the boy a rare non-scary smile. Of course, she didn't actually like Daniel, but if she could control his feelings, then he wouldn't betray her and the win would be hers.

Cassia fingered her axe before grabbing her now soaked backpack and starting the trek. She didn't know what was going to be in that direction, but it would be useful to find out. The more they knew about the arena the better. Cassia didn't mind walking through the rain, she had trained her whole life to be here and a little water wasn't going to stop her. Glancing over at Daniel, she knew she had to get him talking about himself. "So what are some of things you did back in district 1?" Cassia asked, not that she even cared, although she put on a smile and angled her voice just right so it genuinely sounded like she wanted to know more about him.

Joshua nodded, standing up and trying to calm himself. Suddenly, he heard the sound of something crumbling. Rocks."Kyra we have to get out of here!" Joshua exclaimed quickly. Water crashed around the bend and quickly started filling up the gorge with rocks, debris, and water. Water crashed up against Joshua's feet and slowly began to rise. "Hurry!" He shouted, grabbing Kyra's hand without even thinking. Finding the path that he used to climb up, slowly, Joshua started up it.

Kyra looked over towards the large water as it started to push rocks and debris. She anxiously scrambled to get up the gorge, feeling the waves kick at her. Her eyes were wide and she let out a scream, slipping from one of the rocks and splashing into the water. Her face came back up and she gasped for air, swimming back over and hanging onto another rock for dear life.

Cassia snickered, "Murderous princess- I like it. I trained my whole life too, but I volunteered. My cousin Saffron was going to volunteer this year- but I couldn't let her have all the fame. So I did it." Cassia didn't know why she told Daniel that, or even why she did it. She liked the look on Saffron's face when she volunteered, like she had been betrayed. Cassia enjoyed the look that people had when they realized they had been betrayed. Suddenly, a beautiful orchard appeared in her sights, this would be a perfect place to camp if she and Daniel ever wanted to move from the Cornucopia. All of a sudden, movement by the creek caught Cassia's eyes. "Well well well, look who it is." She chuckled, stepping a bit closer, "Its the pair from 7 and their little pet." Glancing up at Daniel, an idea formed in her murderous head. "You go after the older two, draw them away. I'll get the girl."

He gasped, coughing out water. Joshua gripped onto the same rock as Kyra and breathed heavily. "We have to get back to the top, the water's rising!"

Joshua wasn't a strong swimmer by any means, and as soon as he left the rock face to try to reach the easier one, the currents ripped him away from Kyra and he was smacked in the face with some debris. Disoriented, he tried to push his limbs through the water, feeling like he was under for hours, although it was only moments. Gasping for breath, Joshua somehow managed to resurface by the rock wall, and he clung to it for dear life. "Kyra!" He gasped, holding out one of his arms for her to grab onto.

hailey rolled her eyes. "no need to be rude about it farm boy." she huffed, then stripped off her jacket and shoes. "i'll be back." she jumped in the water and swam to shore. the young girl walked along the rocky shore for a while hoping to find debris or other things that may have washed ashore. she wasn't optimistic though, because why would the gamemakers be that kind? maybe a tribute could have dropped something in the water, but she doubted it. after a short while she returned to kipper, flopping down and splaying herself out on the flat rock. "i couldn't find anything."
