Salem gave a brisk nod and walked over to the fire to keep tending it. He knew the risks of going through the blizzard, but at the same time, he wanted to do something. Anything to feel like he had an actual purpose besides sitting around and turning into a literal and figurative ice sculpture. A lone white wolf slipped from the shadows to stand next to him. He looked over into the soulful silver eyes that he'd last seen somewhere in Canada. "Welcome, Fell," he murmured, rubbing the wolf's ears. Fell was more of a friend to him then anyone else in the group. It wasn't that he didn't like anyone, it was just that he wasn't the most social of individuals.

"Well, this my friends will be a problem." He looked up at the bare trees and out toward the distant where he could hear the ocean.
"Hey, anyone here have a fishing licences?" Layla, Nathan's Clouded Leopard, looked up at him and went back to sleeping. "Or better question, is anyone here allergic to fish?"

"Good luck catching fish in this weather," Gabriel said gruffly, "The cold makes them less likely to bite." Katherine shot him a glare, punching him on the arm. The man just chuckled under his breath, going back to his dagger. The girl rolled her eyes, then attempted hiding behind her curled knees.

Kit popped up. "I can fish!" she said enthusiastically, bouncing to her feet. She was always up for something to do, always wanting to prove herself to the big kids. Her tiny black fox hopped up next to her.

Salem found it amusing that the girl and her pet could look so alike when they were eager to please. He sighed, not waning to trump the girl's mood, but he knew that you needed a licence to fish here. He raised his hand reluctantly. "I've got a licence," he said calmly.

Alyssa snorted,
"Yes, Nathan, someone here does have a fishing license for Florida, a place we pretty much never go," she said. She rolled her eyes slightly and was quiet for a moment.
"I'm not allergic to fish. I don't like 'em, but I'm not allergic," she said.
Char gave a little bark when he saw Fell and Alyssa patted his back.
"Calm down," she said softly.
She raised an eyebrow at Salem when he said he has a license,
"Wait, seriously?"

Crystal was sat by the fire, her cat laying in her lap away from the others. Opening her eyes Crystal looked at the people around her. Crystal gave a small sigh, "why now anubis?" she murmured before standing up. Her cat standing up next to her. "I'll go gather more firewood" She said picking up her scythe behind her before walking off into the snow covered trees.

Salem nodded. "Yes," he said simply, not sure what else to say. He wasn't all that well-versed in how to talk to others. When Char barked at Fell, Salem walked closer to Char, stopping a yard away. "No need to be concerned, friend. I wouldn't let him near you or your mistress," he said quietly, his voice soothing for once. Despite his reclusiveness, he was ok with animals. He looked up as Crystal walked past. He silently debated if he should go with her or not, even if it was just to get away from the majority of the people.

"Okay. Kit, Salem. I need you to find some string, I'll find a long enough stick." With that he dissapeard and reappeard with a long smooth stick. He took of the necklace he was wearing and made a somewhat hook with the charm.
When he turned back to the fire he glared at Gabriel and Alyssa. "You two. Guard the camp. Salem, give Gaberiel here your pole. He can tend the fire. Alyssa, watch for Crystal to come back. Salem and Kit come with me." With that he turned and walked into the trees with his stick and hook.

Alyssa just shrugged and scratched Char's ear. The dog looked up at Salem and cocked his head. His brown eyes searched the man's face a moment before his gray tail started thumping softly against the snow covered ground. Alyssa smiled.
"I guess it's a good think he likes you. Then if he's hunting he won't mistake you for food," she said, "He does that with people sometimes." She chuckled and scratched Char's ear harder. He closed his eyes and leaned his head into Aly's hand. His tail wagged harder.
Alyssa looked at Nathan and nodded,
"Got it," she said. She gave Char one last pat before getting up to brush the snow off herself. She slung her quiver back over her shoulder and picked her bow off the ground. She took guard duty very seriously.

"What about me? Can I come?" Sedge asked. He stood up and shook snow out of his hair.

"Sure. Come along." Nathan said hesitating before he went any further. " Are there any confusions?" He didn't wait for an answer and said, "Okay."
He checked his sheath for his sword. He turned back around, "Come along now."
