Casper stood near the stables, watching as his horses ran freely across the vast field surrounding the Ravanche estate. He was about to lead him back in when his mother came scurrying towards him. "Casper my son, you should not be out here! You might soil your suit!" he exclaimed, looking at his mud-caked shoes. "Come, you must change your footwear at once! The carriage awaits!" she told him and led him back inside. "Mother...I'm no longer a child." he said, rolling his eyes as the duchess pulled him back inside. After a few minutes of changing and assuring his mother he would behave, Casper entered the carriage and waited for his father to board before taking off towards the castle.

As the carrige came to a halt Christine looked out the window. Then she climed out of the carrige. There she was standing infront of the Kings and Queens castle feeling like a little ant. "Come along" her mother said and then they both began to walk up to the castle. They walked threw the grand entrance of the castle now they were inside. Pictures graced the walls as the walked down the hall to the ball room. "Stop let me make sure everything is perfect". I stoped and then she nodded "Okay lets go in". Then they both walked into the ball room. People were everywhere. Some were dancing,sitting, and even standing.

Gabriel paused, reaching into his pocket and taking out his watch. He swore loudly when he saw the time, attracting several stares. He ignored them and broke into a run, still swearing.

He arrived at the palace several minutes later, out of breath and panting. He stopped at the doors, straightening his clothes and attempting to make his hair look even vaguely tidy. Giving up on that, he took in a deep breath and entered the ball room, shrugging off his coat and looking around in wonder.

Angel sat next to mother,the queen.She wondered if she could get a dance partner but that when she saw Gabriel.She walked over to him."Hi" She said

(( Sorry about this, I'm a bit of a stickler for detail, but people didn't even start saying 'hello' till the 1830s, they wouldn't have said 'hi' in 1800))

"Uhh, Good evening Princess" Gabriel replied haltingly, bowing his head. He shifted from one foot to the other awkwardly, not used to so much finery and definately not used to talking with royals.

The duke's carriage came to a screeching halt in front of the castle with Casper on the perch. Apparently, the young man became unhappy with the carriage driver and took over when the driver refused to make the horses run faster. Casper hopped off the perch in time to see the carriage driver stumble out of the carriage, looking like he was about to throw up. "Told you I would make a better driver." he told his father as soon as he stepped out, the duke merely chuckled and headed towards the doors with Casper following close behind. As soon as they entered, the announcer announced their arrival while Casper slipped away unnoticed into a crowd of people. He hated the feeling of having several people stare at him, after all, he was the eldest son of a duke.
