Lena walked around, glancing up occasionally (from drawing on the list and checking it) to look at the windows of the shops, while muttering to herself "Okay I got the books I need, check, now what ingredients do I need for this year?" A furry black head popped out of her bag to look around between naps and disappeared back into the bag.

When Sydney had finished getting fitted for her robes, she bought a variety of other clothing items on the list - blouses, a winter cloak, some grey sweaters, charmable ties and a scarf, skirts, trousers, black wool stockings, and a pointed hat to top it all off. She made a quick trip to her room at the Leaky Cauldron to leave all of her new clothing items, then headed back out into the bustling streets. She checked off items on her list with a raven feather quill that sported an ornately wrought golden tip. Alright... up next, books. 'The Dark Forces: A Guide to Self-Protection' sounded particularly interesting, as well as 'The Pocket Guide to the Night Sky', but she was really looking forward to 'Intermediate Transfiguration Sixth Edition'; not to mention the class itself.

Killian looked over row after row of dusty old books before finally finding the ones he was looking for. Part of the cover of 'Flesh-Eating Trees of the World' was torn off, and 'Guide to Advanced Transfiguration' had been scribbled in. He couldn't suppress a laugh at the unflattering caricature of Professor Byrne that the previous owner had drawn on the inside cover.

Lena walked into Apothecary, with her list in hand, and started scrolling over the ingredients she needed. "I need ingredients for Invigoration Draught, Draught of Peace, Strengthening Solution, and Calming Draught. I hope I can find these," she said to herself and sighed. It was kinda of nice being by herself, but she kinda wished someone else would walk in and say hi and maybe talk to her for a little while.

Mei dashed through the shops ,Freiya hot on her heals. A laugh escaped the girl's mouth, she was going back to Hogwarts. The pink-haired girl slowed to a skip as she reached for her list. She needed to get new robes, textbooks for her classes and supplies. She decided to work her way backwards and found and entered the Apothecary.

Lena heard a bell go off, but couldn't react to the sound for her hands were full. Cora woke up from her nap, poked her head out of the bag, jumped out and raced towards the entrance. Lena dropped her things on the counter, told the register person she would be right back and followed her cat to a girl with pink hair.

The soft ring of the doorbell nearly made Sydney jump out of her skin as she entered 'Flourish and Blotts'. The shop was even more crowded than Madam Malkin's. This made actually finding the books she needed very difficult. She glimpsed one, but there were a plethora of people surrounding the shelf on which it sat. Heart pounding, she ducked under someone's arm to reach The Dark Forces: A Guide to Self-Protection.

After purchasing his slightly battered books, Killian started off towards the Apothecary to get an advanced potions ingredient kit. He grimaced at the heavy load of his new books, though had it been any other item, he wouldn't have cared. The door creaked as he walked inside. Instantly, he recognised two Hufflepuff fifth years nearby. Switching the bag of books to one shoulder, he gave them a short wave and a dazzling smile before casting his gaze to the shelves to find what he'd come for.

Lena picked up her cat while watching a sixth-year Slytherin walk by, she caught herself blushing and hurried off to the counter to pay for her things. She also noticed the other Hufflepuff girl looking around for things, "I think I've seen her around before, hopefully, later I'll get a chance to say hi to either one of them" she muttered to herself and her cat. Cora just mewed in response and fell back to sleep.

Mei rolled her eyes at the Slytherin boy flashing her a smile. Even so, she waved back and turned her attention to the fellow Hufflepuff in the shop. She walked right up to the girl and stuck out her hand, "Hey, you are in my year right? I'm Mei, this is my cat Freiya. Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you Mei and Freiya, I'm Lena and this my cat Cora. I think she saw you guys earlier" she said as she shook Mei's hand. "It's nice to see another Hufflepuff around." Cora looked at Freiya with curious eyes and tilted her head as if wondering about the new cat.

Charles wondered around Diagon Alley, not into much of a hurry to get anywhere or find anything. He would stroll into shops to have a look around, check his list, and then leave. He mostly had everything he needed, all he needed was his books and a gift for his sister, Melody. "Let's see...last year I got her a book about Quidditch, then I already got her a rat..." he muttered. His hedgehog, Shadow, would poke his head out to look around and occasionally Charles would let him out to explore the Alley.
