Not many remember Gaster and those who do perhaps may only receive a glimpse of a memory of his previous existence. Gaster hardly remembers what he was like before all this. Before the accident Gaster was a very calm and gentle man, quiet in nature and perhaps even shy of interactions (probably from being cooped up in a lab all day.) The monster liked to keep things professional, make sure deadlines were met, nothing went wrong, his lab was tidy, a workaholic to a certain extent, even going more than a few days without sleep for research. More than once, Gaster would've stumbled across a discovery that excited him quite considerably and would become very talkative, wild hand gestures and large smile following suit, even becoming rather loud out of pure giddy excitement. Afterwards, the skeleton would apologize quietly to anyone he may have just had an outburst towards or startled in the same room and if he was alone, he would return to his work with a new-found vigour.
Now the monster was corrupted and certainly mad, babbling garbled nothingness to himself, 'eyes' darting this way and that as if some unseen person was watching from afar. Gaster is now increasingly violent and unpredictable but it is unknown what caused it.
Easily excited and extremely curious, seems very aware of what it's doing as when they accidentally scare anyone brave enough to venture into the True Lab, they whine and roll onto their back apologetically, spewing goop as a form of kiss if the other grows nearer. When excited, they tend to accidentally hurt those around them with their brute strength and huge frame, going as far as bouncing off of walls. Will protect those they care for with savage snarls and previously mentioned brute strength. Good dog.
