the rusty sound of my IPhone alarm clock awakes me from my deep slumber. I flutter my eyelashes open and wince as the sun light leaks through the pale purple curtains. I hear snoring and then the sound of an IPhone beeping when you get a new text. I groan and lay my head face down on my pillow. I can hear the sound of my father coming in my room with pots and pans screaming how I need to get up because its my first day of school. Those were the days. Now all I have is my IPhone alarm to wake me up. hearing the sound of footsteps walk across the wood floor I sit up. "Morning Corduroy." My roommate says. "Huh?" I ask still trying to wake out of my drunken sleepy state. "Rise and Shine!" She shouts. Normally I would be used to this type of excitement from living with Mabel for a whole summer. But right now that excitement wasn't really something I needed at the moment.
