Perdita; such an unusual name for such a elegant and simple woman. But she enjoys it, because it makes her different. Also her parents, well mother, was a fan of the name. She knew she wanted her daughter to be named that right after she saw 101 dalmatians. Perdita also means 'lost', in which case this girl is. She is fighting to have that happy ending, as in a child movie such as her name comes from. Her middle name is Dorothy, meaning 'gift of god'. It was also chosen for it's nickname Dot, in which we go back to the movie. Dorothy was not only pciked for it's nickname, but because her grandmothers name was Dorothy. So it is in the family, as most middle names are. Dearly, being Perdita's surname is a simple one indeed. It is the name of her father's family and now hers, it has english roots, seeing her father Louis came from England. This girl is normally called Perdy, for the divine name she got is fairly long. But she will respond to it, Dee or Dita. She is currently eighteen years old, born in Seattle, Washington on a sunny Wednesday. To be exact it was January 13th, 1993.

When she was chosen to be a character in the Disney realm, she was given Ursula, because she had the characteristics of a villain. She was greedy, and ambitious, and she was selfish, about all of that. She wasn't a great person, though she was not evil, by any means. She was just a work in progress. Being Ursula for two years...it's changed her, and for the better. She went through a period where she was bitter, where she had lots of anger in her heart for people and for others. She felt she'd gotten the short straw. She didn't agree with her fate, and that made her cruel, for a time. She made a great Ursula. Nessa's always been clever, cunning even, one could say. She tricked people sometimes, played pranks on them, even did things that hurt them; because she had the means to do it.
Something changed in her, though, truly. She had an epiphany. She couldn't name one movie or novel where the bad guy wins. She couldn't name one where they were loved and beautiful and were invited to the wedding ball. She couldn't think of one bad guy kids looked up to, when they watched their little shows and films. That thought wizened her up a bit. She didn't want to end up, alone. She had already had too much of that as it was. She wanted to be loved, deep down, because that is what everyone wants. She wanted to be free of the chains tied to being the antagonist. And it came to her that only she could untie those knots. Only she could free herself. No one else would come and do it for her, no prince would save her. She is indipendant, as a rule, Nessa leans on no man. She's a feminist, because, well, she's had some bad experiences with men and sexism. Just look at the tale of Ariel! A girl who doesn't talk, and this guy falls in love with her? Now, seriously, what kind of message does that send? Right now, Nessa would tell you she's glad she's free of those types of bonds, she doesn't want a relationship, or even a friendship with a man, or anyone who will take her for someone weak. But she does miss frienships, and companionships. She hopes to regain some friends before her time here is over. She hopes she won't always be on her own.
Being treated like the villain, it can really make you think. Nessa decided to become a better person. She decided to change. She would not use people anymore, and she would use her gifts to help people. No most strings attached. That was what she told herself. But let's be serious, here. No one is completely in control of what they do, even if we like to think we are. You can say you aren't going to eat another cookie for your whole life, but come one, let's get real. It's the same thing with Nessa. She doesn't want to be cynical or cold, but sometimes it just slips out that way. It's not her fault. She is trying--honest.

history; even before becoming Ursula, Nessa was always a bit bitter. Everyone in their own way has a tragic childhood, and hers is not lacking. She was one of five children, never got much attention at home, and as a result, her cleverness grew and grew. How else was she supposed to get any acknowledgement for anything, in this world, except for things she earned? She got good grades--great grades--and she tried hard at everything she did. She was always jealous of people, though. It was her major flaw, back then. She's quelled most of it, now, so she doesn't go around stealing people's voices these days. Still. It's not a good quality.
Anyway, she was a good student, but ambitious, and cutthroat. She has a "lawyer" personality, the type where she looks for loopholes and ways around rules. She likes power, but she likes holding others back, too. She has all her life. She's lovely enough, and has had a few boyfriends, but only shallow ones, who didn't care much for personalities. Basically, she's lived a fine life, just dandy; except that in the end her nature and nurturing turned her into a cruel person.
Once in the fairy tale kingdom, she went a bit wild with power. She had awesome magic at her control, and for a while, she nearly wanted to follow the story line. And everyone knows where that goes. But she was clever, and knew better, because how does The Little Mermaid end? Not very well for the sea-witch, that's for sure. So she went about her way, sulked in the isolation she had earned by being a disney villain. Too bad, she would think to herself, that this is my fate. Too bad. She was bitter and sad, and that turned her into a deep person. She often has thoughts of depth and wisdom inside her, but she has to trust the person to tell them those things. And that is a very rare case. She barely even trusts herself.
