I ain't happy, I'm feeling glad
I got sunshine, in a bag
I'm useless, but not for long
The future is coming on
The essence the basics
Without it you make it
Allow me to make this

" Someday, maybe we'll meet again. "
{ The lake seemed to sparkle as an unseen force moved it's water in gentle movements, making one layer over lap the other in a constant loop. Vex herself sat on a large rock near the water's edge, her feet only barely hovering above the lake's surface. Despite her distaste for large bodies of water, this was one of her favorite spots. The air seemed cleaner, and wildlife stopped by for a drink, or even lived in the area. She herself would never go swimming in the lake, but she liked to watch others do so, often listening in on their laughter as they splashed around.
Ripples formed in the water as little fish swam around, and Vex was tempted to shift and catch one with the powerful jaws of a Hyena. Looking around, she noticed that there was no one near her, but she was cautious. Someone could catch a glimpse at her as a Hyena, and freak out. After all, the laughing dog isn't supposed to be anywhere near Jasper, except maybe in a zoo somewhere. Dispelling the thought of shifting at the moment, she watched as the fish and other animals made their way through the water so graciously.
She closed her eyes for a moment, imagining herself around others, happily playing in the water, running around, just having fun. But to her, that vision was unrealistic. Sure, she did have friends, a good amount if she would say so herself, but they didn't understand her problems. All of them were under normal stress, while she had to keep half of her being a secret from the world. She knew there were others out there, but Vex knew that it would basically take listening through rock and metal and time to figure out someone's shifting secret. Opening her eyes again, she heaved a sigh and continued watching the wildlife around her. }
