~{Sarina Isabelle Taryn Fray}~
Sarina's striking eyes had been squeezed shut. They opened as the air that had been being held in her lungs by a pair of cold, heavy hands was released. She sucked in a huge gasp of air, and met the eyes of a large black wolf. She knew she should be terrified. But all she felt was an overwhelming sense of relief and gratitude. She leaped to her feet, turned, and dashed across the clearing, pain throbbing in her slashed leg and twisted wing. Yet, she couldn't resist slowing and turning to see how her savior was faring, if the hunter was fighting him, if he was okay. The fact that she'd just been rescued by a forest canine hadn't really set in on her yet.
The hunter was crumpled on the ground, bearing his pain in silence, rage contorting his pale face. He gripped his bloody arm and panted as he rose to his feet. With his good hand, he slipped a pistol from his belt and raised it with a trembling hand, aiming it at the wolf. Then he seemed to think better of it. Reluctantly, he put the gun away. Then, with a fierce snarl of "I will be back. You're all dead--especially you two, pixie and dog-boy," he turned and dashed away, running as fast as he could, his blood staining the grass.
Sarina stared at the wolf with wide, unblinking blue eyes. He'd saved her--but would he turn on her now? She'd met his eyes, though, and she'd seen intelligence there, seen some semblance of emotion that she hadn't thought present in an animal like him.

Nadine Chase
Nadine's eyes darted across the room, and locked eyes with a girl with violet eyes for a split second. Then, she saw her dart out the door. Nadine crept out and followed her, so quiet and fast no one even noticed she was there. Nadine watched as the girl fought the hunter, she looked like a stone figure, standing there watching them. She silently watched and waited for them to end...trying to decide if she should jump in or not.

Sand spills through the cracks
In time
Calling itself an hourglass

I looked at the people entering, decided even pretending to be shocked anymore was useless. I pursed my lips, my legs and arms still crossed. I locked my violet eyes on the tar black eyes of the girl who had just entered. Standing up briskly and whisking myself out the door to follow Stark, I began to sprint. My steps were lengthy and fluid, and my hair swept out elegantly behind me, both blue and rich hazelnut. Noting that Stark was in his wolf form and currently had the hunter pin, I knew I had the chance to sneak up on the hunter and maybe knock him out. Time ticked away softly in my head, and the late daylight of the reddening sun painted the forest in a fiery red hue, and I drank in the beauty of the moment before I silently picked up a rock and crept behind the nearest tree. I stuck my head out from behind the tree, noting every option for attack before acting. I took in a soundless breath, shutting my eyes for a moment, then bursting out from behind the tree and lashing out towards the hunters head in a flashy white arc as I smashed the rock against his head. Setting myself upright again and shamelessly admiring my work, I backed away against the tree and leant on it, letting out a breath and closing my eyes again to relax myself. "If that didn't kill him, it should at least knock him out for a bit." I murmured, my voice giving away how tired I was. Despite the fact that I had two hearts working for my physical condition and my physical abilities, such as running and working my muscles, I had been more than a little nervous that the hunter had spotted me and he'd kick me in the gut or something, turn the tables on Stark, then end up killing him and I'd be alone. "Good work. I thought you were gonna kill 'im for a second," I said, smiling. His dark black pelt fell haphazardly around his stunning ice-blue eyes, which contrasted majorly against the deep red landscape. "You probably saved that girl, too. She ran past me while I was on my way over." I gave him a half smile and some heat rose to my face, and I turned my violet gaze away. "We should get back. Incase there are reinforcements." I murmured, turning and beginning to walk back. My words were stark and plain, splitting the silence in the forest painfully. My hearts thumped in my chest, and I could still feel a bit of the heat, now fading, in my cheeks. I stuffed my cold hands in my pockets and pushed past the girl in the doorway, walking back to the couch and sinking into it deeply, feeling relief flood over me. I was alive.

"In the darkness, there's no such thing as light."
I let myself in as I found out the door was unlocked. I slip into the house undetected and see other people. I wasn't the most social, so this made me nervous. I take a deep breath before taking a seat in one of the chairs. I sunk into the cushioned furniture, my wings became somewhat hidden. The were pressed against my back and now, the fabric held them in it's embrace. Even though I senced that everything was okay here, I still hated stares, and I know for d*mn sure, a pair of massive, blue-ish black raven-like wings were something to stare at.

17/♂/Single ♥/ Shifts into Black Wolf: Affinity for Ice
"Yeah, I'm a bit cocky...what's your point?"
When the hunter pointed his gun at me, I froze. I had to admit I was terrified fro my own life. But he put it away and left. Hmph. Wolf-Boy? If I could speak in my wolf form, I would've told tht d*mn hunter what was on my mind. I metally rolled my eyes at him. I look up to see Echo. She began talking to me, but I couldn't respond as a wolf, so I closed my eyes and instantly shifted back to my human form. "Ah, thanks," I said, running a hand through my hair. "Nah, I'm not one to kill, only if they deserve it. I couldn't live with myself if I didn't at least try to help her." I nod to her last statement. "Yeah, we should," I mumble. I look over my shoulder back at the place the hunter fled to. I scoff before turning away and walking back towards the house.
I look up to see the winged-girl that was the victum of the hunter. I met her eyes and nodded to her. With that, I put my hands behind my head and continue my walk to the house. I walked up the front steps and entered it. I blink as I noticed that there were more people. I would usually be annoyed with this many people, but I wasn't right now. They were like me...different. We were all here for the same thing. With those thoughts floating around in my mind, I wasn't irked by the growing number of people in the house. I took a seat in the kitchen at the bar, sitting in the circular barstools. I had to admit, this place was pretty nice.

Would you believe me
If I told you I was different?
How would you react?
I think I have a guess
So let's keep this between you and me
Unless...

You want your life to end?
A full moon is all I need
To bring out the beast in me
You can run and run
But I will still find you
If I go down so will you

"Watch your back."
Now this was something unusual. I was clad in jeans and a tank top - dangit! I'd left my jacket! - and running for my life at an unnatural speed for a human while atemptimg to not get f'ing shot. And did I mention that a human couldn't run this fast? And that I was running for my LIFE? Geeze, the bad guys don't even give you time to put on a jacket. I was freezing and I swore my hands had gone numb, even though I was probably sweating like crazy as I dashed between the trees. A bullet zinged past my ear, just barely missing scratching my cheek. Oh boy. Baddie back there was getting serious. I could fight him, yeah, but he was a human for crying out loud! Still...he had a gun. And that wasn't good for me. Maybe for him, but definetly NOT for me. There was an outcropping of rocks ahead, and - with strength that would tip the guy off behind me that I was SO not human - I leaped up and onto the largest and flattest boulder. Another shot rang out just as I scurried over the other side. Sheesh! Did Mr. Hunter ever get tired? I was beginning to think that the hunters might not be human either. That, or they were on some serious steroids. What did it take to shake this guy?
You know what's funny? In most horror movies, where the girl is running away and screaming as a man with a giant knife or a gun comes after her, they never tell you that, in times like this, you really have to pee. I mean, I was running as fast as I could, dodging bullets, and I had to really go like nobody's buisness. Suddenly, what looked like a shadow ahead took shape. It was a house? Would tall and bad follow me if I went in? I didn't want to risk it. I had to lose him somehow. My eyes darted. Where oh where could I give him the slip? There were some really dense trees nearby. Ooo, this'll work! I veered for them, and baddie followed without hesitation. Perfect. Once in the trees, I leaped up, vanishing instantly from his sight. The Hunter paused, unsure, and begane doing a sweep of the small forest. I smirked slyly, then began making my way back to the old house by tree top. I wonder why the bad guys never look up when they're after someone? It's like that all the time in the movies, and halariously, it's all true. Once near the edge of the forest, I dropped to the ground and sprinted the rest of the way to the house. The door was unlocked. Catiously, I slipped in, scanning the front room. It was pretty dark, but I could see at night. I saw no one. At least, not down here. So I made my way up the stairs.
(sorry it took me so long. I'll reply with mah twins as soon as I can, too^^)

Nadine watched as the two boys and the winged girl went back to the house. She waited for them to disappear so she could remain unseen. Nadine then walked her way to the house, which was just about as fast as a human run and opened the door, noticing there were more people and gently shut the door. Her still black eyes darted to and fro, trying to decide what to say and do.

Some say the world will end in fire
Others say in ice
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire
But if it had to perish twice
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice
~Robert Frost
But those who say they'll die in fire
Hold no contempt for the darkness
That drifts between both ice and fire
Fuels both hate and desire
When destruction does embark
I'll settle myself in the dark Ƙαιи & Ƙσℓɛ

"Let's not and say we did."
Something was very different about this house. It was seemingly abandoned, but there was a feel of people living there. The twins with silver hair and wine-colored eyes strolled up the walk. They'd ditched a few Hunters earlier and were able to get a drink or two as well. Kain smirked at the memory. Hunters may be fast, but Vampires - even half-vampires - were much, much faster. His twin, Kole, walked along beside him, quiet. They came to the door and already they could hear a couple of voices. Yep. People were in there alright. They glanced at each other. There could only be one reason why: like them, they'd been chased by Hunters and had taken refuge here. Well then. Maybe they could, too. Kole was the one who opened the door. The Hybrids didn't move as it swung open to reveal a bunch of people inside. This appeared to be the kitchen area. Kain's eyes scanned the room, but he did not enter, as he could not. Neither could Kole. Despite that the people didn't really LIVE here, they'd gotten here first, and so he and his twin could not enter without consent. "Hey," Kole muttered. "Suppose we're not the only ones being chased, huh?" he looked at his brother breifly and shifted, stuffing his hands in his pockets and waiting for someone to answer. And hopefully, invite them in.
