"James is a dim-witted twit" Lily replied simply, "And no, not really. I did take French in my third year of Muggle school, but dropped it since I got here. " She explained. "I mean, I know some simple terms. Pasar la carne?" She asked, asking for the steak. "Really basic things though."

Nessa nodded and passed Lily the steak.

Hearing Lily's wicked plan on the train, she had automatically assumed that like herself, Sirius, Remus and James, she was a prankster. That is why, she leaned into her with a grin and responded;

"Oh, and by the way, los fuegos artificiales se van fuera en 5 ... 4 ... 3 ... 2 ..."

Bright scarlet, gold, yellow, black, blue, bronze, green and silver fireworks lit up the eating hall, spelling out;

WELCOME TO HOGWARTS!!!!

just as Nessa had said. She smiled big when she noticed a bunch of students go ooh and aah; And all the first years looked absolutely delighted! Most of the teachers were looking at each other like,

Did you plan this?

No, did you?

Even Adam, aka Captain Responsible, looked impressed. She was right, pranks everyone liked were way better than crumble-horned snorkaks! (Whatever those were.)

((Translation: The fireworks are going off in 5...4...3...2...))

As the fireworks went off, Lily threw her arms over her head, taken by surprise. After a few moments, she uncovered herself, seeing that they were harmless, just sitting in the air. She glared at Nessa, then at the boys, sitting not far from her. She rolled her eyes and let the students admire the charm work. It was quite impressive charm work, though she wasnt impressed at the fireworks at all. At least there were no creatures roaming around. Remus had kept his promise, for now at least.

Bella stared at the fireworks in awe then looking over at Nicole. She mouthed to her "Nice one!"
Bella then looked over at Sirius. "I wish I had the courage to do somthing like that, or even the brains to... she trailed off captivated by the fireworks once more.

Nessa laughed, and high-fived Bella.

"Someway to kick off the year, huh? This is great!"

Her eyes traveled to the Ravenclaw table, where Adam was smiling and shooting her two thumbs-up.

((P.S: Don't you mean Nessa, not Nicole?))

Bella laughed, "Really great" she said running a hand threw her hair that was in her eyes.

Slowly but surely the students began to file out. The first-years followed their house prefect to the dormitories, and Nessa yawned.

"I think I'm going to bed now." She stretched. "Peace out!"

Over at the Ravenclaw table, Adam was snoring lightly, fast asleep with his face stuck to a page of his book. A seventh year shook him awake.

"Dude," Said the Ravenclaw "It's great that you love learning, but what good will that brain be if it's drooling all over your notes during class?"

But Adam was almost finished! Well...He did have a point. Dang. It was a good book.

"Fine." He said grumpily. "I shall finish this tomorrow!"

And so Adam made his way clumsily up the stairs, looking much like the walking dead.

Bella went up tothe girls dormitorys and decided she wasn't tired just yet. She sat on the edge of her bed, Her owl perched outside on the windowsill.

((Really? 'Cause I always thought she was in love with Voldemort...Sorry if that sounds crazy.))

"Hey!" Greeted Adam cheerfully as Nicole sat down.

"Welcome to Ravenclaw! You'll love it here-Always something new to learn! Did I not see you on the train?"

He had finished his supper, and was now gulping down some vanilla pudding; While still reading Machines and Contraptions.

Over at the Gryffindor table, Nessa turned to James.

"Do you speak Spanish?" She asked suddenly, not knowing what else to say.

"Yeah, ya did. I knew I was gonna be Ravenclaw because my family has been Ravenclaw for decades!" Nicole said and then started naming some of her family members who were in Ravenclaw. "...And then there was Uncle Joe and Aunt Patty, and then Cousin Maria, and then Great Aunt Maggie and her husband Ralph. And then there was Sarah and her brother Andy, and then my other cousins, Mandy, Stephanie and Jason and-"

"Would you shut up!?" Cody said from the Slytherin table that happened to be right next to the Ravenclaw's.

Lily waited until most of the students and teachers left the Great Hall to get up. She didnt go to the door, but up to the front of the hall. She stood where the stool the first years sat at had been moments ago. It seemed like the center of it all. The magic, the secrets, everything. She stood facing the back wall, not even caring what others were doing in the hall behind her. She heard the last few students giggling and running to their dorms or to see their friends leave. This was where it all began, this very spot, and that would be something she treasured forever. She closed her eyes, falling into the moment, falling into the peace. This was a much better welcome than fireworks or Nifflers anyday.
