Varias looked her in the eyes. "No, I can't shirt myself. But my power can be very usefull, or very entertaining..." He smiled and leaned against the wall with his back, his arms crossed, relaxed. He looked up at her now he was sure she wouldn't try anything to hurt him. "I can change reality." he told her. "Show things to people that aren't real... It is easy to let someone see a dog, that is just one illision. But if I want to change everything they see, that costs a lot of energy. I can't hold that for long. Yet," he added. "I need to practice a little more to control it better."

~Danika~

As Aasiyah walked away, Danika remained on the bench and began to vigorously wipe out the healing powder. She hated any type of medicine and decided to let it heal naturally. Scars built character, right? And they were cool to show off in her opinion. With a shrug she finished her apple and chucked the core into a nearby bush. After a minute of standing and gazing around, she shifted and took off to the sky for a bit.

After circling overhead a few times, she spotted Lissa talking to someone else. She was a social butterfly, huh? Unlike herself, Lissa was open and social. Danika tended to be... well, dark and closed to almost every living person. After stretching her wings, she landed and trotted over towards them, sitting down a ways away from both.

||Freak||

Freak hit the ground when Daniel let a fire ball out of his hand. The ball collided with the wall, causing it to burst into flames. Red light danced above the man's head as he tried to escape from the heat above him. You'd think he would be terrified in this situation. You'd think his heart would be racing. You'd think he would be immobilized with fear and unable to think. But he wasn't. His heart beat at a steady pace, and his head was clearer than ever. Simple instructions ran through his mind, telling him the proper way out. Moments like this were what made him wonder about his past. For a reaction like this to happen, people must be trained for it. Maybe this had happened to him once. But he would never know.
Freak made his way out of the fire and stood up, facing Daniel. He was only a few feet away from the boy. Seething with anger, he began to think about severe punishments for him. Maybe a rigerous training session would knock some sense into him. Make him run until he collapsed. Have him shoot fire until he couldn't. Many more punishments were running through his mind, but one look at Aasiyah made it all stop.
Thoughts of her began to run through Freak's head, flooding every corner of his brain. Daniel had hurt her, too. He had burned not only a building, but the worker that he might one day call the love of his life. A newly-found anger rose through him. He spun around to look at Daniel again. He scanned the young boy who had caused so much destruction up and down. He was far too dangerous. He had to be taken care of. Now.
Freak shot glances to Soron and Aasiyah, clenching and unclenching his jaw. "Aasiyah, take Soron back to the garden. Now. I'll talk to you later." He thought he heard Daniel say something about her telling him about their possible love, and he wasn't happy about it. "Go on. I'll take care of this one. And send some workers over if you can. That buidling's going to burn down. We don't want that to happen again."
With them taken care of, Freak took a step towards Daniel. He was absolutely enraged at him. All of the destruction he had caused today that he had had to fix. Everything he had done in the past. He hadn't been angry then. But now, it just fueled the flames of an already enormous fire. Daniel was dangerous. Daniel was unpredictable. Daniel was deadly to his plan. Maybe it would be best to just end him now. Even if he had control of fire and could burn pretty much everything in sight, Freak could still take him down. He could take all of the creatures down. The bad thing about living with someone is that they get to know you. He knew all of their weaknesses and all of their strengths. He could easily beat most of them in a battle. Even if he wasn't particularly special.
Freak took another step towards Daniel, looking him straight in the eye. There were many ways of taking him down now. There's a pressure point in the middle of your back that can paralyze a person for a few minutes. A few minutes is a long enough amount of time to kill someone. Other plans ran through his head, but he silenced them all. He was going to take Daniel away from here. He needed to tell him a few things, and he wanted to say them in private. He wouldn't need any of his plans right now. Unless Daniel didn't go willingly.
"Daniel. . .do you want to know why you're here?" he asked, making an effort to keep his voice low. "Do you want to know why I can't let you go?" He paused for a moment, turning his back to him and taking a few steps away. He then looked over his shoulder at the boy. "I can tell you. If you come with me."

Watching the mans reaction, Daniel didn’t seem to flinch at all. Though he was slightly disappointed in the fact that Freak didn’t seem to get hurt from his little fireball he knew that the damage to the building would be enough to make up for it. It peaked his curiosity to know if the hole would eventually get big enough for someone to be able to fit through the wall. Turning his head to Soren he raised an eyebrow at the dog, growling? In his mind Fire vs. Dog was a little unfair but he wouldn’t hurt the other so called creatures, that was against him. Even if Asher got on his back one times to many sure he would punch the guy but he would never do any damage that would be permanent, that was what Freak did and he definitely wouldn’t turn into Freak.

As Freak moved a few feet away from him, a small smirk appeared on his face as he saw him. It didn’t matter what the man put him through it would take an army to change Daniel’s mind or attitude towards him. He didn’t move an inch as he watched Freak for a few seconds before following his gaze towards Aasiyah, if he couldn’t get to Freak in time he could always get to Aasiyah. She seemed kind enough, he would have to make sure that she didn’t touch him though since she would probably be able to figure out what he was feeling leading to her possibly figuring out what he was planning. Though he most likely wouldn’t regret his actions for a few hours it was possible that he would just shake them off. Slowly turning his gaze back to Freak he smiled a little. “Maybe Aasiyah would like to see how hot the Fireball might be” he whispered so only the near him could hear him, one of those people being Freak. He had found the man’s weakness and there were only so many ways that he could turn it against him. “I’m all yours Freak, but don’t you think it would be a little suspicious if we disappear for a few hours” Daniel said, winking a little. It was to easy to say it and he couldn’t help it. A grin made it’s way onto his face and he couldn’t help but let a small laugh escape his throat. He was never one for taking situations like these seriously, always joking around a little and letting his temper flare where it seemed.

Though one thing was for sure, when he saw Freak looking him in the eye he knew that this wasn’t over. Not many people bothered to look each other in the eye but Freak’s actions surprised him a little. It seemed like he was thinking something through, the topic unknown to him at the current moment in time but sooner or later he would figure it out. Even if it was painful or not, he could cope, he always did. It occurred to him then that they were on two completely different worlds. While he thought that Freak’s actions could be somewhat cynical and plan painful, not to mention diabolical. The man had his reasons, exactly like Daniel had his reasons for acting the way he did. He couldn’t control his temper no matter how hard he tried it would always get the best of him. There was nothing he had to lose so why should he start control his temper now? As Freak started to talk he looked at the man who had captured his attention, pulling him out of his thoughts so to speak. “Because the first time you saw me you couldn’t resist temptation and now you don’t want to let me go” Daniel muttered in reply, sarcasm intended of course.

Freak wanted him to follow him? Frowning a little Daniel looked around the room before thinking slightly, he could take out Freak. Trap him somewhere for a little while, long enough to hijack the felicity and hopefully take control of it. Let the creatures go free while he made sure that the workers and Freak never made it out. It was an opportunity and a risk of a plan he was willing to take, no matter if it hurt or failed he would still have gotten a little closer to Freak. Hopefully enough to find out his fears and weaknesses, as well as trapping him somewhere. A little hesitantly Daniel started to follow, his eyes glancing at the other creatures before moving onto Freak. Where were they going exactly?

Aasiyah Sari Valeska || Worker

Aasiyah now had two names on the list of people she hated: Freak and Daniel. She watched, horrified, as Daniel threw a fireball at Freak. A part of her wanted it to have hit, yet deep down she feared it would come true. Opening her eyes as she heard Freak’s voice, Aasiyah was slightly dazed. It took her a while to figure out what Freak said.
Hearing a low whine come from behind her, she turned to see Soren waiting there. She crouched down to his level and searched the boy over for any cuts or damage. Finding none, she placed a hand on his head to calm him down.
Leading him back to the pair of double doors that opened out to the gardens, Aasiyah passed by a guard stand and ordered two to go clean up and block off the hall of corridor C. Letting Soren go outside, Aasiyah placed three more guards at the doors leading and exciting the gardens. Seeing that everyone was settled, she went down to Freak’s study.
A large black Maple wood desk with rows of monitors was waiting for her. Sitting in a large, red cushion chair Aasiyah scanned the monitors looking for any signs of Freak or Daniel. She saw them enter Testing Room 21 and sighed. It was one of the few rooms that didn’t have a camera… she now had to wait.

Soren followed Aasiyah obediantly, irritation and frustration flowing through him. He had been told to leave, when he could've helped in sort of way. He growled softly, almost inaudibly as he trotted slowly after the Worker girl. He studied her from behind, his dark eyes narrowed. He had never knew the young women that worked here. She let him out, and she put him back in his cage. Both of those things were positive, and negitive, so he had never been sure what to make of her. He snorted and as soon as Aasiyah left, he took off.

Every pawstep that he took as he ran lightened his mood just a little bit. He didn't understand all of this fighting and hatred, really. He let out a snarl, snapping aggressively at a plant as he passed. What was his purpose in life? He thought angerily. To sit in a cage and rot until Freak needed him for something. He didnt' want to be some sort of weapon. He wanted to be a person.
Image

Slowly, Soren went from a sprint to a trot, then a walk. He ducked his head, staring at the ground as he walked. His tail was hanging limp, and his ears were pinned to the back of his head. He was feeling so conflicted. Angry at Freak for everything the man had done, but feeling Sympathetic and sad for him because he was misunderstood. He was confused by Daniel, who seemed to be mad all the time; and elated for being able to be outside and in the fresh air.

{Hey, guys. Glad that CS is back online. Did any posts on this thread get deleted?}

||Freak||

Freak smiled behind his mask when he heard the footsteps behind him. Daniel was following without arguement. Good. He wouldn't have to force him. He began to walk forward, leading the boy to the gate of the garden. At this point, he stopped and placed his hand gently on Daniel's shoulder. He had gotten him this far, but he might change his mind. He might turn back. Or worse: he might run away. "I don't trust you any more than you trust me," he whispered in Daniel's ear, gripping his shoulder. He couldn't let him leave.
Freak opened the gate and led Daniel down the path towards the training building. Their feet crunched on top of the gravel path. He didn't really know what he was going to say. All he knew was anger. As he tried to figure out what he would say, his mind went back to the world outside of the path. The world outside of dark buildings and strange abilities. The normal world.
The normal world wasn't much better than Freak's world. Most of his creatures didn't know this; they had been trapped behind bars for several years. But Freak saw it every day. When he went out to town, he saw how bad the world was becoming. Homeless children, dying people, poisinous air. The world was a mess. Compared to the rest of the world, his creatures were actually lucky. They lived like royalty.
Deep in thought, Freak opened the door to the training building and pushed Daniel gently inside. He followed in afterwards, closing and locking the door behind him. His hand rested on the door for a moment as he tried to collect himself. How was he going to say this? He had never told anyone else his plan before. Not even Aasiyah. He brought his free hand up to his mask, tugging at the corners nervously. This was his only way to end Daniel's antics. He had to come up with something.
Freak pulled two chairs to the middle of the floor and positioned them right across from each other. They were old, but they would do. He sat down in one and placed his elbows on his knees. "I've never really told anyone the whole story," he mumbled, resting his head in his hands. "I don't really know the whole story, to be honest. I don't even remember my own childhood."
Freak's thumbs began to move up and down the corners of his mask, prying it away from his face. The black material that always hid him came off. He held it in his hands for a moment, staring at it. His reflection showed on it's smooth surface. His face was nothing more than a large collection of scars that never healed and bruises that appeared from nowhere. Most people were horrified when they saw it. "I'm not too cowardly to look at what I've become," he said, remembering the boy's words from earlier. "I'm just afraid that other people will see what I am. That would give the world another reason to see me as a monster."
Sighing, Freak threw the mask across the room. It hit the wall and clattered to the floor. "I'm not good with words. But I'll try to tell you everything. As long as you make me a deal." He looked Daniel straight in the eye, strands of hair falling onto his face. "Stop trying to turn everyone against me."

Daniel smiled a little before looking around their new surroundings. Watching Freak carefully he wanted to make sure that the man wouldn’t suddenly spaz out on him and try to hurt him. Once they passed the garden, Daniel hadn’t been paying attention to Freak’s actions and was a little surprised when he felt a hand on his shoulder. It earnt an odd look from Daniel but he was prepared to take action if Freak wanted to do anything to him. The contact felt weird, he wasn’t used to it, probably never will be used to the contact but still it felt odd. As he listened to Freak talk he raised his eyebrows slightly, well he didn’t trust Freak at all so would that mean that Freak didn’t trust him at all? It confused him a little but he quickly shook the thoughts away. All he could do was smile a little and concentrate on not burning the man’s hand at the moment. They were to close to people, all to close.

Turning his attention back on Freak, it looked like the man was deep in thought and it sparked some curiosity in him to wonder what had captured the man’s attention. Was he always like this? He wouldn’t know, he was never really that bothered with Freak until recently. He wanted to see his family again, if they were still alive anyway. His brothers would have been curious to see where he was if they still remembered him, unless they were dead. Gulping a little Daniel looked down before feeling someone push him which only made him look up, his instincts kicking in. His eyes darted to the door and the locks, if the situation was going to be good or bad he really wasn’t completely sure but this alone was testing his patience. Turning to look at Freak he was about to say something before he stopped, watching Freak carefully.

He didn’t sit since he didn’t want to, he preferred to stand since he spent so much time on the ground. Tilting his head a little he looked at Freak, satisfied that there was nothing that could pop out of nowhere and attack them. “Well I know for a fact that your name isn’t Freak, that’s just a nickname the creatures give you. At one point in time I thought I could name you Bob but the name was to common” Daniel muttered smiling a little as he thought about it. Though the smile vanished from his face when he noticed that Freak was removing the mask that hid his true face. He couldn’t help but stare at all the scars and bruises that were scattered across his face. It made him curious to wonder what had happened to the man for him to receive all of the scars. This was one of those times when he didn’t know what to do. When he heard what Freak was saying it was like he was pulled out of a trance. “Right” he muttered before looking around a little and shifting his weight from one leg to another. “Well its really your choice as to why the world hates you since your actions count. You, you give people a reason to dislike you because you take them away from their families and the world that they knew. Sure some of the creatures here had bad pasts and think that you saved them but locking them in cages, there has to be a better way to do things around here that would cause people to … dislike you less.” Daniel muttered not sure if he was talking sense right now.

He listened to the deal, making a small thinking face as he did so. “Deal’s work two ways Bob” Daniel muttered using a temporary name for the man. Though he scrunched his face up when he knew now that it didn’t suit Freak. Not that he would take the deal anyway he was still curious. “What would you do if I stopped persuading others about their perspectives of you” he muttered slowly making sure that he kept his distance from the man. Making sure that he was ready for an sudden movement his forearms slowly started to rise a little with flames. Hopefully there wouldn’t be any violence but still he had to be ready, he didn’t trust Freak.

Lissa listened intently to what Varias had to say, before grinning. So like an illusion? That's so cool! You could like, make someone think he tripped and fell on a banana. she said, giggling at her own harmless joke, smiling a little more when he seemed to relax, and she lay down from the sitting position, though her head was still upright, and looking down at him. Not that it was intentional, but the moment she put her head down, the scent of the flowers rushed up her nose, and the smell was so cloyingly sweet... She shook her head slightly, and looked down at him again with a gentle smile, her blood red eyes without one hint of malice. She heard the found of paw steps dashing across the ground and heavy panting, but when she traced the sound to a rather angry looking dog, she decided not to interfere and let it cool off some steam.

Suddenly, she heard another set of footsteps lightly brushing against the grass, and turned her head slightly to see Talon. Usually she would not need to see her, merely smell, but the flowers has clogged up her sense of smell. "Heya!" she called in draconian, making strange chirps that only Talon could get since she was half dragon.

She then looked back at Varias, slightly confused. Hey... I never really did get your name, did I? Who are you? Sorry if I asked already, the scent of these flowers are driving me crazy. Simultaneously, she heard the frantic footsteps stop, then looked to see a rather depressed looking dog. Looking at Varias, she signalled to him that she was going to go see what's wrong for a moment. Though the gesture wasn't necessary, she had been bred as such from the start, and she had decided to keep it. After all, it was polite.

Taking a deep breath and holding it, she lowered her head to the dog's level, and her words resounded in his mind gently. Are you alright? You look rather... depressed. her words were kind, and she looked at it, waiting for an answer.

Varias looked at Lissa and grinned. "I can do much more then just a cheep banana joke... I can even make you believe you are outside in Egypt, standing on the top or a pyramide... It just takes a lot more energy... The simple banana trick I can do for days, but the total illusion..." He thinks for a minite. "I think I can hold that for 5 minutes... maybe 10... But then I am too exhausted to stand on my own feet."
He looked at his hands and removed some dirt from under his nails. "My name is Varias... Your was Lissa, right?"
When she informed him there were others around, he just nodded. He was an understnding person. He leaned against the wall and crossed his arms, waiting...
