"Yeah well..." he hesitated here, looking off to the side. "I guess I just want... you to be OK." He stated. "I want... well more than you... leaving for long periods of time if we're going to be serious about this relationship... not something... soul crushing like Finn claims it is." He said now. "I just want... well... I want you to stay true to yourself but also to... not... be away killing and... well... risking your life. I know I risk mine with firefighting so that's why... I'm having a hard time voicing my concerns." He concluded here.
"Shadow..." the words halted and then started, like a train slowing for construction on the track. "I just... I want... you to do what you want to do." He concluded here with a sigh. "I'm not comfortable with it but it's who you are so... who am I to tell you otherwise?" he asked now, shrugging his ailerons. "So yeah... I feel conflicted on it in all honesty." He stated. "I want us... to have a good family life... you know... if we are going to have a family. It's a little hard when... well I'm sitting at home wondering if you're coming home to us." he outlined. "So... yeah I... I should just stop... talking." he said now, looking down at his nose and then the ground as he sank a bit on his pontoons. "I'm probably getting way too ahead of myself anyway." he sighed.

Miles could sense the ship moving faster now, and he hoped they were getting out of here and escaping with their lives... but he could sense Raine was... collapsing from the weight of it all, and he wished desperately that he hadn't made the choice he had in life... and that... there was... something he could do to go back in time... erase it all... take it all back... expunge it. He drove up to her now and nuzzled her, closing his eyes as he rested against her, the tremors in his body subsiding now. "I... I wish... I hadn't made the mistakes I made..." he sighed here. "For your sake... if nothing else." he stated.
"So..." he pondered her words now and smiled. "Live in the States? Heh, so I take it you didn't have a title like myself." He joked here. "Well the States are nice yes... I could see myself living there at some point... I did have a home over there... New York City of course... where all the affluent live." he rolled his eyes here but smiled again. "Heh... anyway yes... a family I... Raine... I... I wouldn't mind... something like that... family... because well... you thrill me... you... you're the most... interesting female I've ever met... and believe me... I've met a few." He nuzzled her again, trying to cheer her up. "Heh... let's... let's have that life if we can... the two of us... maybe... maybe it's not too late." he said hopefully.
"I... I don't want to keep letting others down anymore... they're relying on me and I... I don't wan to sit idly by... because well... now that I've found you I... I do want to be with you, Raine." he said, regarding her with affection as he smiled wearily again, wobbling a little on his tires as he felt another wave of weakness wash over him, though maintained his balance and kept himself upright.

"Heh... yeah well... not sure Tenebris was chugging the booze." Blade commented here. He noticed her trembling, and Blade glanced at Doc. "Hey uh... you gonna check me out or what?" he asked now. "Just let me know if he got any vitals when he hit my underside." he requested. "Yeah well... I might not ever... get used to it... I just... want my old life back but... well I'm gonna stay the course... keep on the path... I signed up for it after all."
He looked at her here as she seemed really tired, then addressed Doc again. "If not me at least look at Miles... though he might just be having his usual engine problems." He yawned here, feeling he could sleep forever, and probably could. Rest... it would be nice, but first things first: He needed to get seen to. "So... you mentioned you were thinking about taking my certification course when this is all done? You... serious about that?" he asked of Harper now, trying to keep himself awake just in case.
