Shadow was traveling at a high speed, the house exploding caused her to throw herself more to the side, avoiding flaming debris as it threatened to fall upon her. She slowed right down, her eyes scanning the sky above her, attempting to remain as intact as she could. The open metal where Tenebris had originally struck her, and the crash added on top, it was a surprise she was still up and about. But she was an agent through and through, and even with her partner possibly out for the count, as wounded as he was, she was determined to complete this. Both injuries were on her right side, and it was causing problems with steering, being less responsive on that side, as well as it being rather painful. Large debris dropped the floor, a large piece landing rather close to her and shattering, hitting her her side, the heat causing a hissing noise as it came into contact with her metal. She cried out a little, biting her lip as she tried to ignore the increasing pain. Right now, she had a mission to try and achieve, she couldn't afford to assess herself. Up ahead, she finally saw the faces, and they looked as terrified as she perhaps felt. Some where already heading toward her, but she continued to move closer, dodging and swerving the falling parts to the house.
"Come on! Follow me! I'm going to get you out of here, but you have to hurry! Gather who you can!" She yelled over to them, pausing now as some came up to her, slowing to a stop and slight surrounding her, ready for what looked like orders. She impatiently waited, knowing that the sooner they moved, the better, but before long, she saw the last of them trailing behind, so began to make a move herself. "Okay, keep close, follow me!" She called now, breaking through the group and heading away from the blazing house, determined to try and get them to safety. She became increasingly worried that they could get hit being so exposed, so looked to the skies again, trying to see who was around to help. She pulled to the side some more, motioning with her hood to the group to keep heading toward the ship, she was going to trail behind and cover them that way. She began to slow however, feeling her side begin to ache more, stabs of pain occurring now. She fell behind the group, urging them on vocally, but physically could fell herself fall back further than she intended.
Raine was somewhat relieved when she felt the Branford's tremors stop, still pressing gently against his front. "It's ok.... you're fine..." She soothed to him gently, rubbing his tire. Her main priority was to keep him calm and settled, knowing his engine could betray him at any point. "Good... I 'm glad you like me too" She managed a small chuckle, looking around a little as she continuously rubbed his tire. Though, a few moments later, she heard his curse, looking back to him and just seeing the oil pool around him. She backed up a little as she wanted to avoid getting it everywhere, though felt her heart drop. She knew he would be low now, though she had known her assurances might not work. There was a moment she said nothing, where it seemed she was contemplating how she felt, though it was much rather the opposite. She was trying to think of a way to make him better. She moved up to him once again, not caring whether it got on her tires or not, gently resting her hood on his.
"Hey... it's ok... You don't need to apologize... It's ok..." She soothed once more, using her tire to hook under his chin and pull him forward, away from the oil now, making sure he kept as dry as he could. "Miles it's alright... I don't care about that..." She whispered to him, actually feeling her heart thudding a little harder now. She was finding it was true. She really did like him... and she really didn't like seeing him like this... She had always promised herself that falling in love wasn't to happen. She had too much to focus on... taking down those that had done her family wrong...all of them. She couldn't do that if she had someone in her life... a family... Despite how much she wanted one. Though as she looked to him, she couldn't help but feel her emotions burst forward, swirling round and round in her mind, desperate to say something. She swallowed a little, suddenly appearing nervous. It was way too soon.... way too soon surely to be feeling something so intense... was it that he had been there for her? There when no one else had? What was it? She didn't know, and she could no longer describe the kaleidoscope of feelings and emotions she felt.
"I don't care about this... because... this is you Miles... And we can always... well, get you seen to but.. please don't get cut up about this.... please.. cause... I...." She started, her mouth slightly open as she stammered. "I could care less whether you leak or not because... I think... well, I love.. you..." She finally spoke out, tensing up a little as she awaited potential backlash. Calypso hadn't died too long ago.. and she was moving in on him already.
Keep calm
