Harper: Finn | Blade

Panting slightly, Harper watched Carew carefully now, even from this distance she could see the deranged look in his eyes, looked like Tenebris had really p***** him off or got him extremely worried. Good. She was however surprised that he didn’t go for her or Shadow like he did before back in the building but whatever, she wouldn’t be able to fight back considering the state she was in right now, oil was still dripping but the pace of it remained steady. As he suddenly shot through the roof and began to blast everything in sight, she cringed as the castle shook, the jarring moving agitating the wounds more.

Finn’s mention of a ship made her feel a little skeptical however, “How.. how we supposed to fly a ship from another dimension..?” It might be easier than she was thinking but the technology could be completely different to what they were used to. Still, it may be their only chance to escape before Carew destroys the whole place. Wincing, she raised herself up on her landing gear, she'd had her little rest and it was time to move.. even though she was still leaning against Blade slightly.

"If we're gonna help them then we need to do it now." They didn't have time to discuss, it was either help the vessels or leave whilst they had the chance.

Spray, Horah, Radar - Everyone|Carew

Spray's eyes went wide as the car before them suddenly darted upward, a deranged look in his eyes and afterwards the very castle shuddered, making him stagger a bit before he regained his balance and looked back at his friends and teammates. "We gotta get outta here and now!" Spray barked to Radar and Horah.

Horah perked up and Radar staggered to his landing gear, forcing himself to ignore the pain he felt in his back and radar dish.

They all gathered around Finn as he spoke, and Spray looked at the spy car as he pointed out a ship within the castle. The black FBI plane taxied closer, barely staying upright as the whole structure shuddered again. "We gotta take a chance with it!" he said. "It's probably our only hope of getting outta here at this point!" He shot a glance up at the hole in the ceiling, noting the bolts tearing through their surroundings.

Horah spoke up about the village next. "I have to agree with the others. We have to help them... if we can..." His grim tone indicated they had to make a decision and fast.

Radar nodded, wincing as he did so.

The gaze of the Ferrari never left Carew, her eyes glaring as he yet again tried to convince her otherwise. She felt herself falter a little, and her gaze dropped to the floor as his words once again met her. What if.... she HAD blown it? She hesitated, her previous conditioning he had placed on her creeping back and seizing at her heart again. Her family.... She shook her hood and squeezed her eyes shut, wanting to block him out. Though Miles now stepped up and she opened her eyes a little, watching him carefully. She moved gently to his side, giving him a gentle smile, feeling more moved by his words. She gave him a gentle kiss on his side, the smile still there. "Thanks Miles..." She said softly, before Carew seemed to defect almost, a crazy look about him. She looked worried now, pressing against the branford and looking to him in part fear.

"This guy is crazy... we need to get out the way. Are you... are you ok? You... defended me from those shards... You didn't have to Miles... I could... have taken them... I don't want you injured because of me!" She fretted suddenly, noticing the scrapes in his paintwork.

Shadow could only stare, unable to really move as she began to watch the deterioration of this.... car. They would need to move, yes, if they were to get out alive, though she hadn't really thought about any of the vessels... Even as Dusty spoke she felt torn. They would be risking their lives, for those that were going to replace them. "We don't know if they would survive in our world... they were temporary vessels remember... we don't know how long they can last in there anyway. Let alone in our world... they were designed to keep them there until they had our bodies" Shadow spoke now. She glanced to Harpers injuries and winced. Everyone was risking their life... and it was those she knew. The thought that they could die here... it was terrifying. She let out a sigh, knowing Dusty's values and what he would want to do. "If you need to go save them, do so. There will be others that will help you but make sure you're quick and agile for goodness sake!" She warned him, moving a little to look at Connor.

"CONNOR!" She yelled, getting his attention. "Remember the group training father put us through, about rounding up a group and circling round them to create a moving block. Gather the wounded and those who can't fight. Dusty get what vessels you can herd them over. Finn, you can help with the outside defense, me you and Connor will circle round from the ground. Whatever planes are still armed can keep ahead and perhaps clear a path if they can. Blade, keep supporting Harper, and Harper...... no more backchatting the bad guy, you're a bad influence on me" She winked with a small smile. She moved ahead of Harper and Blade, looking back to Raine and nodded, who ushered Miles over to the growing group. "We'll move toward the ship... then we can get outta here..." She breathed, trying to take hold of the desperate situation.

[Dusty Crophopper]

"Right... I can't leave them this like!" Dusty insisted now. "We have to do something to get them out of here! Thanks." he nodded at Shadow now and smiled. "Thanks for the backup. If you're ready... then let's... let's go!" he said now, starting up his engine to be ready to take off as soon as he exited the castle.

Finn considered the question for a moment and sighed. "We should help them... we don't know if they'll survive but..."

"Why wouldn't they?" Miles spoke up now, looking over to the Faultless. "Carew's a vessel technically speaking after all, created by Tenebris and he survive just fine in our world. No reason they can't as well. Remember we're not thinking about this! They're DESIGNED to live on our world after we're dead so... absolutely no reason they can't make it!"

"Right! Fine then... Shinn... take those who aren't helping out to the ship and see if you can get it working! Myself, Sid, Shadow, and Connor will provide cover and help with the Evac. Anyone else who wants to join Dusty in assisting with the vessel evac... do so but BE careful." the Faultless ordered now.

Miles winced a bit and looked over to Raine. "Yeah... I... I don't think anything vital was hit but... it'd be a good idea to get me checked out... just to be sure. Come on... we should get to the ship." He told her now, looking for Shinn to start leading the way.

Blade glanced to Harper here. "I'm getting you on that ship... no way I'm gonna attempt flying with my injuries, and you shouldn't either." he told her now. "Come on... let's go." he urged, starting to move her towards the doors of the hanger.

Dusty meanwhile burst out of the doors, Connor following suit as he nodded at his sister. "Heh... all right... personally I don't see the point of saving a bunch of freaky alien vessels but... can't let you die after all! We'd be down a serious member of the team if that occurred! You just best curb these crazy impulses of your boyfriend!" he called over to her now before revving his engine and zooming out. Honestly though, the Corolla had no idea why he was helping out in this scheme of Dusty's... he should've just left them behind and headed for the ship but... he didn't want the numbers thinned, he knew he had no chance of stopping either Dusty or Shadow, and he didn't want an earful later on from his sister about having "abandoned" the group when he was perfectly healthy and fit and had no excuse to go with the others.

The speed they were utilizing allowed them to cover the distance in a minute, and fortunately, Carew seemed more intent on destroying the entire planet rather than focusing on individuals, and already the denizens of the town were starting to move in their direction, either fleeing the destruction or else seemingly wandering about in a daze at the devastation. "Hey!" Dusty called down to them. "Follow me! This way! You'll be safe this way!" he urged, and most looked up at him, surprised to see him above them. But most didn't need any second urging, and began following him. Connor honked and began driving in a circle both to protect them and corral them, as Finn did the same, trying to ignore his injuries for now.

On the Ship

Blade pushed Harper on board the ship, and immediately noticed it was... esoteric, to say the least. They were standing on what looked like beautiful blue glass, though it wasn't see through. Ramps went upward and towards what was hopefully the bridge. "Hey Doc!" Blade called. "You mind looking at her... she's in a bad way." he stated, nodding towards Harper. "Oh and... hopefully you know how to work this thing." Blade stated to Shinn. "Hey Harper... how you holding up? Where... where were you hit?" he asked, trying to look her over more fully now.

Miles looked over at Raine now and smiled. "Hey... I just wanted to say... I was really proud of you back there. I was... well unsure honestly how you'd react but... you've done a good job. So yeah... you showed him you're not under his control anymore, and that's good... very good." He beamed. "Agh! Oh crap... I feel like... leaking oil..." he muttered, trying to keep himself in check on that but wincing all the same as his body started to tremble.

Shinn, Doc

Doc nodded as he drove over to check on Harper. He could see her injuries were bad, with a few locations where shards of the gem that had been in Tenebris's chest were embedded in her. She was leaking oil at a decent pace, and just looking at her face, Doc could see the pain in her eyes. "It's okay." Doc assured her. "I can help. Where do you feel the most pain?" As he said this, he checked over his medical supplies and got them out.

He was grateful he had had the foresight to stock up on medical supplies before the mission.

Shinn looked at Blade. "To be honest, I hope I do too. I've never had to fly anything before. Done all the flying myself or ridden in a plane. But it can't be that hard, right?" He asked, making a joke here. A weak laugh escaped him, but Shinn had the feeling that was the worst joke he had ever made.

Sid

Sid followed Dusty, Finn, Shadow, and Connor to guide the townsfolk back to the ship where they could escape. "All spy jets, follow me to the location of the enemy ship. We are using it to escape." Sid said before he flew down lower and watched the cars move into action. He could see Connor driving in a circle around them with Finn doing the same.

The spy jet bit his lower lip as he eyed Finn's injury. He hoped the spy car could hold out until they got to the ship and to safety...

Spray - the team on the ship

Spray darted forward at that point. He wasn't sure why, but this time maybe he could do something, something to help out. He had tailed after the team, guiding Radar to the ship since he was too wounded to do much else. He turned to face Blade and the others that were on the ship. He opened his mouth, but the words died in his throat. How would they react to a plane who could fly something? He hesitated, but then as he glanced back at Radar, his mind was made up.

"I can fly it," he said. "Or at least I can attempt to."

He waited to see what their reactions would be. And he hoped to Chrysler or whatever that it wasn't bad...

Horah - Dusty's team

The big jet darted out of the shadows, flipping up his visor and extending up to his full height as he flared his engines a few times to get their attention. "Over here!" he cried. "C'mon! We don't know how much longer this place is gonna last!"

Shadow watched Dusty leave first, ensuring that he was ok on the take off, before concentrating on her own task at hand. She shot Connor a look as he started talking back, raising her brows a little. "I'm... both flattered and not surprised" She managed to responded to both parts to his sentence. "It will do you good to actually save someone other than yourself" She added, watching which direction Finn and Connor were circling the group. Shadow then circled the opposite way to create maximum coverage. Getting them onto the ship was easy, but now they had the vessels to think of. Shadow doubled back now, revving her engine to try and keep herself up, an aching pain going through her now, especially her left side, though she pushed pain away best she could, drawing up next to Finn as they drove. "Finn you need to get looked at... you're hurt" Shadow said calmly, looking him over, before speeding up and pulling in front of him a little to try and stop him. "Go to the ship... Connor and I have this covered" She said now, her authoritative tone showing through. She gave him a hard gaze before motioning with her hood to the ship.

"Please Finn.... Trust me, I have this" She nodded, using her hodd to nudge him backward, before turning and locating where Dusty was, seeing those he was leading. She now sped toward them, the group erratically trying to get away. They were spreading everywhere, so Shadow once more circled around this group now, keeping them together and streamlining them a little. "Come one! Quick as you can!" She called, looking to Dusty above. "I'm gonna get further into the village and see what I can get out... Though it will have to be a quick check" She called up to him, letting the vessels clamber into the ship. She turned once more and raced away, spotting a few in the distance that were trying to escape the flying debris of the houses around them.

Raine had boarded quickly, though dare not move too far from Miles' side, constantly making sure that he was with her. She couldn't stand the thought of leaving him behind... not now. Once they were safe enough, Raine turned to Miles, panting lightly from the effort of their escape. "heh... thanks... I wasn't sure how I would react either if I'm honest... i'm just glad that.... you were there" She told him honestly, her hood flushing a deep red. She noticed him wincing, and felt his trembles and it only made her feel worse. "Hey... come on" She whispered to him softly, moving to his outside and steering him to the side, and away from everyone. She used her side to gently guide him away and keep him away from the others.

"It's ok Miles... It's alright... you're fine... you're here and you're alive and.... I'm.... here for you" She hesitated with how she chose her words, pausing and rubbing her side on his, feeling small sparks light up in herself as she did so. She pinned against him, linking a tire with his as she whispered to him softly, reassuring him and trying to soothe him. She eventually moved to his front so she faced him. "Miles... you've done amazing things today... and it's ok... you don't need to feel ashamed or anything... I .... I like who you are... whether you leak or not... I don't care... if you do..." She started, watching him carefully. "Cause I... really like who you are..." She nuzzled him gently, before flicking her gaze to Doc.

"Doc? When you have a few, can you check out Miles?"

Doc - Tag: Raine

Doc looked back and nodded. "I can as soon as I finish with the female helicopter here." He then winced as he realized he didn't know her name. "Um...I don't think I know your name." He said to Harper here.

Looking back to Miles, he gave the Brandford a reassuring glance. "I'll get to you when I'm done here." Doc assured him before turning back to Harper.

Harper: Shadow | Blade | Doc

"I wasn't technically back-chatting, I was talking s***, you're the bad influence most of the time I believe." She huffed at the Celica, though she managed to smile at her, she was okay despite crashing thankfully, still the tough little car she'd met all those years ago. Still bossy too~

By this point however she was feeling horribly tired, whether she was generally warn out or the wounds were taking their tole, she wasn't exactly sure but she thought if she could just get onto the ship with everyone else then maybe she could close her eyes for 5 minutes. She glanced towards Blade and nodded, actually being somewhat obedient for the first time in forever but it was a guessing game as to how long it would last; she'd taken a vicious hold of her lucidity during the short trip to the ship, only willing to allow some sort of rest until they were aboard and once in the clear, she dropped down on the ground, landing gear still present but it was hard to see.

"Could be better..." She mumbled, why was the room spinning? "Right side... underneath as well.." The gem was fairly close when it detonated, the shards had lodged into her right side and her belly, the little ones weren't a big deal but larger shards were definitely embedded deep within her it was starting to show. She shut her eyes for a while but they quickly snapped open as Doc approached and she glared at him, nothing personal of course but she didn't fancy being poked and prodded, she was in enough pain as it is!

"I'll bite you I swear." She hissed at him.

Doc - Harper

Doc backed up a bit before he sighed and rolled his eyes. "I don't need an unruly patient right now. I'm just going to help you. And if you bite me, forget me helping you." Doc warned her. He got out some basic medical tools and approached her. "If you want me to help you, I do not need to be lashed out at. You could seriously bleed out if you don't let me."

Cautiously, the former racecar approached her.
