(Okay night!)
Kaia followed Marina and set her coal down as well. "Here" Kaia gave Tom her fire starting kit and said, "think you can make a fire now?" She gave him a small smile as she leaned up against Hana, who was sleeping peacefully, and she took some of her blanket and stared up at the ceiling of the cave silently.

Why, you stuck up, half-witted, scruffy-looking Nerf herder!
Who's scruffy-looking?
....
I don't know where you get your delusions, laser brain.

Come on, admit it. Sometimes you think I'm all right.
Occasionally, maybe... when you aren't acting like a scoundrel.
Scoundrel? Scoundrel? I like the sound of that.
I love you.

Tom set up the fire, and started lighting it and it caught on fire. Tom was happy. Tom was still blushing, he hoped that Kaia didn't see. Tom started moving some big rocks away from the fire because he knew if they got too hot then they would explode. Tom's muscles were being shown from him carrying the big rocks. Tom then sat next to Kaia and said "Well everyones asleep except us."

Kaia nodded and blushed at seeing Tom sitting right beside her. "Yeah, I guess..." Kaia offered Tom some of the blanket, since it was big enough, and watched the fire. "So what's your story? How did you end up out there?" Kaia asked, trying to avoid an awkward silence between them.

Tom took some of the blanket, Tom began his story "Well you see, I live in the northern tribe of water, and well when I was a child, my family was killed by the rebels... my family was some of the goverment, They killed them because they had a big plan to unite the rebels. The plan wasn't used. I was the only survivor in my family because I was at school on a feild trip." Tom began to cry. "I got home and my house was burned to the ground. I cried for days. I finally got out of school and bought my own house, I used a different name though. I was living in that awful place, by the way I am supposed to be the king of the water tribe. I was then living at my home. I got so mad on my birthday that the rebels took me into the middle of here and ditched me. I then found you guys and now i'm here." Tom stopped crying.

Kaia listened to Tom's story and her eyes widened when Tom began to cry. Not knowing what to do, Kaia settled with putting her hand on his shoulder in what she thought was a comforting gesture. "I'm so sorry. Those rebels...I don't know how they can live with themselves with everything they've done. Killing government officials? That's just beyond cruel and they deserve to be wiped out, but...not all of them are like that. I'm sure they all have some good left in their hearts." Kaia gave him a half smile and turned back to the fire. "So you mean I'm hanging out with royalty right now? I'm deeply honored!" Kaia said in a joking tone with the hopes of lightening the mood.

Kaia smiled and leaned her head back on Hana's fur. "Well, I guess it's just the part of me that is a nomad. I believe that no matter how evil someone is they can be redeemed with the right persuasion. I don't believe anyone is born evil, I think they become evil due to things that they've seen and done in their lives, but if we can show them the right amount of good than they can purify their hearts." Kaia stopped when she realized she was rambling and she blushed. "Sorry, I guess I tend to ramble about subjects I feel strongly about..."

Kaia smiled at Tom and a small blush appeared on her cheeks. "Thanks" she said while she snuggled into her blanket.
