"We'll be off, then," Ryu smiled. He held out his arm for her to take before he led her to a food stand.

Kiyoko took his arm and let him lead her to a stand at the side of the room, with glorious aromas (omo..) emanating from it.

Ryou bargained down the price of some fruit, then purchased some in a basket. He handed a brought red apple to Kiyoko.

"Thank you!" Kiyoko accepted the apple and bit into it. It tasted delicious! "So...are you nervous for the tournament? Do you have any strategies or something?"

"Many, but they're secret," Ryou replied, "I trust you, of course, but having someone overhear would be a terrible mistake. I suppose I'm just being overly cautious, though." he shrugged. "I have to admit that I'm always nervous, but I'm confident too," he smiled.

(Just a quick question: the Millenium Ring is going to show up again, right?)

"I understand," Kiyoko said as she nodded her head. "It's good that you can still believe in yourself instead of doubting your ablilites." (Did I just sound like YUGI?? Man, that was weird..)

"Thanks," Ryou said in his sweet way. Innocence was a virtue. "I'm glad you'll be there to support me, anyhow."

"Yeah, no problem! It's what...friends do for each other," Kiyoko assured him.

Ryou smiled, nodding, he bit into a slice of seedless watermelon, enjoying the burst of flavor. He checked his wristwatch. "We should get back soon," he said, "I- we have twenty minutes left."

"All right," Kiyoko agreed. "I'm looking forward to the duels!"
