A lot actually... she thought, but I'm not going to tell him that. Looking towards the direction the aravels were, she headed out in that direction, her steps light and soundless as she weaved through the vegetation.

Morrigan watched the exchange curiously, beginning to understand that this elf was new to the world of the Grey Wardens. It was then that she began to wonder what had brought a Dalish so far from her clan, into an ancient guild that, until the recent appearance of the darkspawn, had been grasping for relevance in an era that had almost forgotten its existence.

Athesiara absorbed everything her commander said, and nodded sharply at the conclusion.

"I understand. Duncan said a Blight would not be so easily smothered in one battle, as your shem king, Cailan, believes." She glanced at Alistair beside her, and then at Morrigan. "Duncan seemed anxious for allies of any kind, and we should be thankful for any help that is offered us."

"Oh, don't thank me," Morrigan drawled, vaguely waving her hand. "Thank my mother, for taking on the absurd task of protecting moldy old scrolls on the off-chance someone came searching for them." Under her breath, she added, "She'd get a kick out of your manners."

Athesiara blinked at the mention of Morrigan's mother, and found herself at a loss to imagine what the mother of this one might be like. To Tala, she said, "I will follow where you go, commander."

Tala grinned, pleased that something was going smoothly for once. Nodding, she spoke up, "Good. Alistair?" she asked and turned to her other Warden companion, a twinkle in her eye. This may bring us victory if we get these treaties to Duncan on time... she thought, her heart fluttering. Tala was eager to get going, but knew to stay calm and collected.

The male shrugged, walking after her silently, it was almost as if he wasn't there. He sighed, was she serious about taking the Halla? Wouldn't the elves attack them?

As they continued to walk, an hour passed in silence. Othelia had focused her tracking senses on picking up a trail. A while later she stopped and crouched down, studying a large hoof print in the mud. Definitely not a deer. she thought, standing up. Waving her hand for Fenris to follow in suit, she crouched down low. The Hallas' had sensitive hearing, so she knew to keep low, out of sight, stick to the shadows and out of the wind. A muffled cry of an animal could be heard in the distance. Her ears perked, and she stopped. She slithered underneath a shadow of a bramble bush, laying flat on her stomach, wanting to stay unseen. Large, white creatures weaved slowly through the vegetation, their horns peaking out over top of the leaves and branches. "A herd..." she whispered.
