Nick smirked and watched the other boy raise his sword. "I really would rather not." he said, watching him. He deemed the bottom not be a threat, judgeing by the improper way he raised his sword. The district five boy held his sword at the ready, smilig lightly. "Id rather not kill you, but whatever." he said, licking his chapped lips. "So I would back off if I were you." he smiled. He stayed where he was, blood dripping down his sword as he waited to see what would happen. Sweat dripped into his eyes and he blinked it out, ignoring the stinging sensation.

I keep on walking farther and farther stopping at a couple of cactus's and so to take a drink. I run out of the coconuts when I hit my tenth cactus. I take a drink about every mile. I keep on walking and walking until I have reached the end of the arena. I can tell because it is generating it is so hot it looks like its sizzling, or I could be hallucinating. I walk along the force field and than thats when I see the Oasis. I run the rest of the way, when I get there I just lie down and take a nap on some smooth rocks. The reason I took a nap on the rocks is becuase sometimes I see stuff shifting in the sand. I take an hour nap.

( Just to clearify this but, an oasis is a place with water right? )

Also, just to clear this up one final time: You do NOT need to pay points to snatch things from the cornucopia. Points are for extra items.

- - - - - The girl froze when the timer hit zero, but only for a second. Then she was off. Blood pounded in her ears and her heart beat like a frightened rabbit's. She snatched up the first thing she saw, a dagger, and then took off for the desert, the heat nearly blinding. She didn't get far. Someone ran up behind her, the boy from District 1, and she heard a whistling noise. Ashton was never the fastest, but she managed to duck, and the sword passed centimeters above her head. She rolled over on her back and began to scramble backward. It didn't matter. The sword came down again, at her neck. It wasn't a clean cut, only tearing a jagged hole in one side, but nonetheless, blood gushed from the opening, staining her fair skin red. Ashton tried to cry out in pain, but the noise was lost, only drawing a bubble of crimson from her dying lips. The boy from District 1 left her there, gasping for oxygen and only getting blood, burning under the scalding heat, awaiting her death.

Finding herself a little way away from the cornucopia, Isis stopped running for a while to gasp for breath. She collapsed on the sand, panting heavily. Putting the dagger she was still holding on her belt, tying it on like she did with the other, she looked around her, assessing the environment. It was a desert of sorts, and Isis could see the heat waves in the air, just little barely visible squiggles, dancing around. She could already feel the heat, and was tempted to reach down and drink the bottle of water she had. With much complaint of mind, she put the thought of drinking at the moment out of her head. You need to save it for when you really need it, Isis, remember that. Another look around her revealed that in the distance, she could just barely make out the shapes of trees. Thinking it was a trick of the mind, she pushed it out of her head. Another thing that was revealed to her struck horror down to her core, a gasp escaping her mouth. There's no cover! How can I hide? She thought in a frightened, desperate tone. With a gulp, she spotted a cactus and made a dash for it. Careful for it not to stick her, she put her back to the cornucopia, the cactus making sure no one could attack her from behind without getting a nasty, prickly surprise. Oh Gandhi, what am I going to do?!

After my nap I go up to the water, I drink from it than look at the coconut trees. I see a bigger one ugust around a little. I pick up a rock and throw it at the shifting coconut. A spider jumps out and I barely make it out of the way. It takes a bite out of my leg by the time I got to my feet. I back away staring at it. I keep on backing away until I have fallen back unto a rock. The spider than jumps at me and I slice a good chunk off it. I backs away than retreats back to its nest blood dripping down. I look down at my leg and almost faint. I sit on a rock and study it.

- - - - - Korbin wasn't the type to back away because of a little threat. He stepped forward, swinging his sword with fury. The blade sliced a clear gash down the tribute's back, and Korbin retreated quickly, but only a few steps. He grinned, clearly blood thirsty. His dark skin glistened with what could have been blood or sweat. It was impossible to tell.

Avery watched the tribute's progress without satisfaction, his hand covering his mouth and his elbow resting on the glass table he was seated at. He shook his head slowly when District 4's male tribute found the oasis. He was lucky to have found the edge of the Arena, lucky to have chosen to go the direction that he went in. Too lucky. "This just won't do," Avery told himself, a slow grin spreading over his face. "Not at all." He rolled back from the table to give himself some space before tapping the center of the table. A 3D gridded map appeared in front of him, complete with miniature tributes. He pinched and zoomed in on the tribute that had just been attacked by a spider, tapping the tiny version of him twice. Upon getting the option of which creature to send on his trail by the piece of technology he was using, he smiled maliciously and selected the swarm of beetles.
Avery leaned back and steepled his fingers together, still grinning as he watched a huge mass of red and black making quick progress across the map that he'd left up just for his own enjoyment.

Jenni had stopped and was looking around hoping to find some water or atleast some shade. She soon spotted a cactus and grabbed her Dagger from her back pack and cut it open slight enough for water to spill out and for her to drink freely. After a couple precios sips the water stopped flowing and she set off, Dagger in hand encase she bumped into more cactus. And she did, well she came up to a quiet oasis, she grinned and dropped her bag to the floor. She opened it and filled it with the oasis water and stored it for when she was ready to travel. After filling it up she slit some cactus open and drank her fill but she didn't dare grab some apples instead she looked at the water, watchcng and hoping for fish. After what seemed hours she spotted some odd colored fishe's but didn't think twice as she stabbed them with her spear. She killed about 4 and then wrapped them up in some cactus flowers that she had collected and put her water and food back in her pack and nibbled on one of the fishes."I better leave...Before the start getting bored.."

* I sit on the rock and than look to one direction than to the other. I look over and see something red and black scurring toward me, but in groups of thousands. I start to stand than limp away I look up at the palm tree and than start to climp. I avoid the spiders and manage to get to the top. I lay low as the bugs go by. I stay as still as I can and than a spider awakens. I slash at it wildly blinding it than kicking it off into the swarm. The second one attacks and I take it out easily. The last one, the one I beat up before jumps at me. I swing with my dagger blinding it. But than it just stings me. I take my dagger when it is about to give me a third sting, and I dig it into its brain, the stinger slides on my skin and than the whole spider falls down. I watch as it gets eaten up by the bugs. Now I have to stings on my same leg. I watch as the bugs go by and than the last couple get by. Now how am I gonna get down? I try a slow approach but I just fall on my back. I go to the oasis pool and wash up, I take the rest of the coconuts ( 2 ), than I start to slowly limb off, away from here and away from these dangers. I have to win, I have to win for everyone who loves me. I keep saying in my head as I walk off as the heat consumes me.
