Tamilia nodded rapidly as Soul asked her about swimming, and she grinned; it was ear-to-ear and obviously geunine. "I don't just like it; I love it! Almost as much as sewing...or tea parties! Tea parties...hmm...I need to have one soon." She giggled and pushed off from the side of the pond, floating across to the other side, before diving back under the water to look for the fish. Toppy, meanwhile, padded to Soul, mewing quietly and gently pawing at his leg. After a moment or so, though, Tamilia suddenly broke through the surface of the water, thrashing wildly. She looked to Soul and tried to say something, but it was smothered, as a colossal playing card squid wrapped a tentacle around her mouth. She bit it and the tentacle fell apart, Queen Of Hearts cards fluttering to the surface of the pond. "SOUL! THE FISH! IT WASN'T A FISH AT ALL! IT WAS A DISGUISE; THIS THING IS REDD'S!" The squid wrapped two of its tentacles around her neck, pulling her underwater as she squirmed and screamed, trying to get away. Toppy meowed in fear and dashed the edge of the spring, peering into the depths as the Queen Of Hearts' creature pulled Tamilia's body lower into the watery depths.

Finnigan snorted as Seph spoke, trying to keep Horton from prancing in place. The horse was usually antsy - having eight legs and only running a few times a day, he had energy to spare. Fin nodded as Seph spoke, taking a deep breath and trying to keep himself under control. "Clever, yes; but she's as looney as the others. The Hatters, I mean. Last time, she kept trying to say Hatter was never insane, and that it was from her mother. She's a terrible liar." Grinning devilishly, he tensed suddenly, harshly tugging on the reins as Horton tried to scramble off. A girl's faint, distant screaming broke the air, and he narrowed his eyes, listening. 'That voice...' It was followed by the splash of water, and a slapping noise - like something was hitting the surface. Finnigan looked to Seph, wide-eyed with curiousity and eagerness. "Didn't Redd put those shifting things into ponds!? That could be her! That brutish girl that slaughtered the others!" He reluctantly kept his horse still, waiting for a response, although he desperately wished to leave Seph behind and confront the girl.
