dean's eyes widened for a few seconds in surprise before he relaxed at castiel's tight grip. he set down his unfinished sandwich and scooted his chair closer to the angel.

"I-" Castiel tried to say something, but he couldn't. He was a bit overwhelmed at the emotions. His eyes darted around in a panic, he was certainly confused. He was an Archangel..they didn't really feel much. I mean, they knew how to feel..but not like this. He just sort of intertwined his fingers with Dean's, keeping a tight grip.

the hunter's breathe hitched as the angel quickly maneuvered himself into a hug. dean was surprised by the action but realized cas must be really freaked out or something if he was doing this. dean wrapped his arms around him and pressed his cheek on cas' head.
