mae shrugged."i am sleeping in." she sighed, stealing a piece of bread from a first year's plate, smiling at them as she did so. "it sounds so dangerous... dragons... maybe flitwick will tutor you?" she rummaged in her bag, pulling out a book. the title read fantastic beasts and where to find them. "i'm not sure if you've looked through one of these. this is my grandad's old copy... i think you should have it. is has some really fascinating tips!" she shrugged. she looked down the table, noting how eira gorged herself. eira was clearly ready to win. she was personally getting reading for quidditch season to start back up! she was going to ask professor dumbledore if she could be the team captain this year. tomas would have so much on his plate, she wasn't sure if he could handle the pressure! lucas certainly was a good contender- a good looking one, too- but she didn't think he would vie for the spot. he was a seventh year, he also had a lot of academic work to be getting on with! they certainly needed to recruit some teammates, there were only three left on the team, the rest had graduated!

//flitwick is prepping for his next class, filch and peeves are fighting somewhere in the transfiguration classroom over some naughty words he wrote on the board in permanent chalk.

Juietta raised her eyebrow at the old text book. It was for potions class, and was tattered and worn out. Her blue eyes looked up to Snape, skimming through the pages she noticed his writing crossing out regular instructions and replacing it with his. It seemed the textbook was more of a book for cheating in potions. Half-blood Prince she thought to herself. It was a rather odd name, but as she could recall Professor Snape was a half-blood, and excelled far in potions. She gave a small smirk, it was perfect, she could pass all her potions without breaking a sweat. After all she was one of the best in potions class, and was smart when it came to the wrong instructions, but this solved all her answers instead of her having to do it herself. She placed the potions book in her bag, holding out her palm as Snape gave the fire resistant potions to her. She examined the small vial, placing it into her small pocket in her bag. "Thanks Professor," She added, exiting out of Snape's office. She was greeted by Darren, walking next to him, "Snape?" She paused contemplating about telling Darren about the potions book. But she found it best to keep it to herself. Any student would be wanting to take it. No matter who, as long as it meant getting good grades. "He gave me two vials of Fire Resistant Potion. He said it can help, but it wont last long. Here, take this one." She said, handing Darren one of the vials. "So you ready to find out our teams today?" She asked with a questioning tone. She didn't like the idea of being with a different house, it caused her skin to crawl. "Come on, lets get something to eat before class starts. I'm sure Draco and the others are waiting, if they are even up." She added, pulling his robe gently towards the Great hall. The two had both sat down, but not all the Slytherin's were up.

Hermione's heavy eyes met Harry who had entered the common room. "Harry" She greeted tiredly, before answering his question "I was trying to find some spells to help you. I couldn't find anything, nothing strong enough to fight a dragon. They're hide is far to thick. We need to sort this out. There has to be something!" she hissed, flipping through the books again, "I read through all of it more then once." she groaned. She could feel her stomach growl. She was starving, she never really ate anything during dinner last night. "Come on, We also need to help Ray. you're both in this together. Even if you aren't meant to be paired with your own house." she said worriedly, she tiredly lead the way to the great hall where all the students were now gathering in.

After his hair and outfit was rightfully clean and presentable, Ray left to walk to the Great Hall. He felt as if he was carrying himself with a different air- he always had a regal, gold air about him, but this time? There was something so hot, it was almost cold. Was it fear that headed his veins, or was it the possibility that he could win? Either way, he bounced a bit more then usual, the heated energy warming him for the day's venture. Walking into the Great Hall, he quickly walked over to his table and slid down the bench to Logan. "G'mornin'!" Willing for a glass of orange juice, he lightly gripped his glass and took a sip of the liquid.

Glancing at his fellow Gryffindors, his eyebrow cocked when he looked at Hermione. "Did you get any sleep last night?" He looked over at Logan, eyes shooting up in surprise at his friend's own exhaustion. "Did any of you?"

Lauren had put the dragon away, heading down for breakfast. He noticed a girl sitting there- one he had not talked to. She was reading a book, nibbling on some sliced fruit. Sitting down across from her, he watched as his plate magically had an omlette on it (extra peppers and cheese). "Good book?" Idle conversation.

Eira quickly finished up her breakfast and then pulled out a few textbooks that she owned. She planned on going to the library to try and find something of use to her. She wondered if there was some sort of potion or herb that she could benefit from, so she searched through her potions textbook and her old herbology textbook, but there seemed to be almost nothing that she could benefit from. She thought that she could benefit by using her broomstick; she was skilled with it, but did not like competition much, so she never joined quidditch.

Tomas nearly choked on his breakfast and looked at Mae, "You got to be crazy if you believe Flitwick will teach me after I nearly took him out with that book!" He then sighed and said, "I believe everything will turn out fine." Although Tomas was pretending like everything was fine he was stuck in a rut. He did not know to preform any spell that could get past a dragons thick scales. He put his half eaten toast on the table then put a hand under his chin and looked at her, "Do you know anyone who might be willing to teach Charms?" He then glanced over at the Gryffindor table and said, "Sure Hermonie could help me..but she would already have her hands full with that bloke Harry."
He then sat up and took the book from her and he said, "Thanks a load Mae it sure might help!" He then opened the book and started to read it at the table. He was careful turning every page because it was a very old book. Tomas pointed to some Japanese Kanji written in the margins and he asked, "So he wrote in it too?..that's really neat." He then laughed, "If only I could read it." He then said, "But I doubt there would be anything in the margins about defeating a dragon."
For a few moments he read and then he looked up at her, "So about Quidditch how about you an I try to round up some new players." He then grinned, "We have a bit more time until next class."



Darren saw the one vile and grinned and took it from her. "This will help." He then gave a wicked smirk, "Now at least we have an upper hand on those fools." He carefully placed the vile in his robe pocket and asked, "Want to meet up later? We need to see if we can figure up a plan for us to win these games!" Darren then walked next to her into the dinning hall and he sat down. He then noticed Bronwyn walk in and he nodded to her. Once she was at the table he asked, "So, your aren't going to be playing Quidditch?" He then said, "Well I guess you can cheer along with all the other Slythrens..because we are going to win these games." He then asked, "But have you ever rode a broom before?" He got a snicker from a pureblood sitting close by and Darren glared daggers at the boy. He knew she was muggleborn but she was one of the few muggleborns he could actually tolerate. Darren would be willing to teach her if she had never been properly trained.

Hermione gave a sigh in defeat, shaking her head at Ray's question. "we're all so worried." she added to Ray. But, Harry was right, they’ll find something. Somehow. She was worried about the idea that all the other students managed to find a way to defeat the dragon. The idea made her worry sick. She picked at her food, not in much of a mood to eat. To take her mind off things, she looked at her schedule thinking of what class she had first. It was in fact ancient runes with mixed classes. Meaning class with everyone. After lunch it would be potions.”You will speak to professor Dumbledore, won’t you Harry? I would suggest the same to you Ray,” She managed to say through small bites. She looked to the Slytherin table as she watched Juliet and Darren walk in together. Devilish smiles on their faces, like the ones they always wore. “Bet they were up to no good. Such cheaters,” she hissed through gritted teeth.

Julietta gave a nod to what Darren had asked her, "Right after dinner, in the common room." She added. She followed after Darren into the Grand Hall, taking a seat. Draco still wasn't anywhere to be seen, which caused a heavy sigh escape from her lips. She filled her plate, and began eating. She was excited to use her new potions book that Snape had given her in class. She found herself lucky to have such a professor on her side. He was willing to do anything to help out all the Slytherins. And because of this, she could feel the victory run through her veins. However, the idea of being paired up with someone who wasn't a fellow Slytherin. Well that complicated things far to much. She hoped that she would be paired with Ariadne, and only her. If she couldn't be paired with Darren.

Logan shook his head, "I'm tired. I don't know how I'll go through the long day." He added, crossing his arms meeting everyone's gaze. He gave a nod to Hermione's comment, "I bet you they have something wicked hidden up their sleeves. Have you all noticed how Malfoy isn't around? Bet you hes still humiliated by the fact that Ray turned him into a Chicken." He said, with a laugh. Sipping from his pumpkin juice. Logan's eyes drifted to Freya, as she shook her head at his comment. "Its true."He added with a pout. I'll see you all in Runes, he added before standing to his feet. Patting a hand on Ray's shoulder, and walking away messing up both Hermione and Freya's hair.

Freya fixed her hair as she watched Logan leave."What an idiot." she mumbled to herself. She pushed up her classes with her forefinger. "Oh, Harry. Fred, George, Ginny and Ron. When we have time off from school, or after class before supper. What do you say we all make a trip to the quidditch field and do some practice? We have a game coming up with Hufflepuff do we not?" She questioned the boys. "If you want, you could watch Hermione? Neville?" She added, with a slight questioning tone. "I also say that, later when we're all sitting around the common room. Anyone want to play Wizards chest? Or sneak into the kitchen and get the house elves to make us food." Freya watched as Hermione's face became disappointed. "you shouldn't expect the house elves to make food. They aren't slaves." she said. Freya covered her mouth, there was no point in adding anything back to what hermione said. She knew Hermione was well against the house elves being "slaves". The girl even created pins which spelled. S.P.E.W. (Society for the Promotion of Elfish Welfare) In other words Ron and Harry would just call it spew as if someone were sick. "We'll save this discussion for later. I'm going to class. See you in Professor Black's rune class." She added giving a wave. She soon stopped in her steps. "Harry, thats it. Speak to professor Black, shes Sirius' sister. She could help you if you can get a hold of Sirius." She added before leaving.

Lucas greeted his fellow Hufflepuff classmates taking a seat next to Eira, Mae and Tomas. "Top o' ye mornin' ter ya, 'av yer guys foun' anythin' out at al'?" He questioned his table, as his Irish accent flooded out when he spoke. He was curious to know what his friends were going to do. They'd have certainly more time to think it through once they got into their common room after all the classes were done. He gave a small laugh to Tomas' comment about Flitwick. "Oi tink flitweck wud be willin' ter 'elp. Git wan av de girls ter spake ter 'im about it. That's if Ravenclaw doesn't git ter 'im first. after al', He is de head 'av Ravenclaw. Ariadne an' Aaron might 'av it in de bag." He added taking a sip of some orange juice. He had finished eating in just a matter of time. Pondering what else he could do to help, then it came to him, "What 'bout Professor Sprout? She might 'av sum 'erbs ter benefit wi' fire. Or Neville wud 'av a clue. 'E's wan av 'de bes' students in 'erbology." He waited to see what Eira and Tomas had to say. The discussion would have to be saved for later however.

Travis was sitting at the table with all of his fellow Ravenclaws. "Mornin' Ari, Agnes, Aaron, Alexis, Luna, Lauren. So have my two favourite champions planned out what you're going to do about your dragons? Or what will happen if you're paired with someone you cant work with. For example, a Slytheirn. I'm going to feel sorry for whoever gets paired with one them." he questioned Ariadne and Aaron. He was curious to know what they had to say, and what their plan was. Luna lowered the quibbler, "Have you spoken to Flitwick?" She questioned in her soft tone. Travis gave a light push on Luna's shoulder, "That's such a great idea. Flitwick would be such a great idea. Or even McGonagall. She could give you a spell to transfigure a rock into a rat or a bore. Which could distract the dragon." he added.

Ravenclaw~Female~Bisexual~Ravenclaw Common Room

The soft call of a crow could be heard from the Raveclaw Common Room, as well as the faint sound of whispering. If one were to walk in and investigate they would see a figure huddled at the couch, and upon closer inspection would come to realize that it was Rose, a student from earlier in the year who had left mysteriously, with only a small, hurriedly scribbled note left on her bed stating that she had left due to an emergency and would be gone for a while. Now, she was resting on the soft couch, whispering to her crow, Star Flight. The words were very hushed, as she was quieter in closed quarters, though after a moment she ended the conversation, standing and brushing her hands across her uniform to straighten it. The girl sighed, giving a curt whistle and striding towards the door. The crow immediately followed, gliding behind her like a shadow. She would reach the Great Hall soon.

Harry asked Neville in hopes that there would be anything at all. "Not that I'm aware of... Sorry, Harry" Neville replied apologetically . "If I find anything, I'll let you know." He added.
"Oh, right. All I've been thinking about lately is the tournament. I almost forgot about practice. Yeah, we should definitely get in some practice before the game. And chess would be great to take my mind off of things a bit." Harry nodded realizing that this year might get a little stressful. The tournament. Keeping up in classes. Quiditch.

After finishing her glass of water, Eira slammed her old textbook on the table. "Absolutely nothing!" She gave a heavy sigh. "I bet those Gryffindors are already getting Neville's help." She stated when she looked back to see Neville sitting infront of Harry, one of the champions. "Although, Professor Flitwick and Professor Sprout sound promising. We should definitely try talking to them." Eira nodded in agreement.

I plan on talking to Professor Flitwick, since he'll likely to be more willing to help us due to the fact that he's the head of Ravenclaw." Aaron stared at the paper in front of him. "I just wish we knew who we were paired with." He said, considering the worst case senario.

Class was to start soon. In only moments, her class would be filled with students, some willing to learn, others not so much. Harry would also be in this class, which was the perfect time to scold Harry for accepting a challenge so dangerous. "Tha bloody fool. 'e's got a bloody death wish, 'e does." She thought as she shook her head. She quickly looked over the class assignment to make sure everything was in order.

Ron glanced at the others while finishing his toast. He then swallowed and said, "It's not surprising that they will cheat." Ron then muttered, "It's not like they can win fair because they know they are not capable of winning." He then rolled his eyes at Neville when he started to go off about Herbology. He never understood why he would even take such an interest in Herbology when he was in fact he was a Gryffindor. Ron believed the sorting hat was out of his game when he chose to but the poor boy in there House.
Ron perked up when Harry mentioned Chess and he grinned, "I've been practicing all summer Arry i doubt you can beat me."

Minerva finished her food and sat there listening to the other Teachers socialize. She then glanced over at Dumbledore and cleared her throat and said, "Dumbledore, i believe it is time to reveal the Triwizard partners." She then glanced over at her House table and gave them a halfhearted smile. She secretly hoped her students would be able to work with whomever they are chosen to work with.

Ginny continued to look around for her twin brothers. She then shoved her plate to the side and said, "You would think that they would come in for at least breakfast they are up at the crack of dawn at home." She then gave a quick glance at Harry and she looked away and smiled slightly to herself. She then gave Freya a smile and said, "Sure, practicing sounds like a load of fun."
