Aydan nodded "Thank you" he watched as she seemed shy and smiled back. Hopefully his grandmother wouldn't harass him about having a girl friend. Maybe bringing Ophelia would turn into him being embarrassed instead of getting chewed out, he couldn't decide if that was the better solution or not.

Extreme. That was definitely one word for it. He was lucky... or unlucky depending on how you want to look at it, that he didn't have any siblings. Well besides Vivienne, the thought brought a bitter taste to his mouth. Hopefully the questers could sway her feelings towards the camp but deep down he felt that'd be impossible. Aydan realized Ophelia probably thought he was being oddly quiet right now. "Uh good, I'm glad I didn't hurt you in anyway." He said gratefully.

His cheeks flushed a bright pink as she grabbed his hand and dragged him out of the arena. He winced as his eyes adjusted to the outside light, he stumbled a bit trying to keep up. "Hey slow down a bit. I know you are in a rush to continue your fantastic tour but we are going to stumble from me being blind." To emphasize his point he had to adjust his glasses which he forgot were on his face until these kind of moments. His eyes finally began to focus and he caught sight of Celeste a little ways away seemingly talking to someone. "I think I see her." he said catching up to Ophelia and running along side her.

Once they got to Celeste he gave the girl a friendly smile. A smoke? Didn't she know those things were terrible for one's health? Nevermind that... what else did she say? They seemed busy? He blushed, a bit flustered and embarrassed. Oh yeah, I'm sorry about all that." He said rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly. He didn't think how it may effect Celeste like it could effect Ophelia. "I feel better now."thanks to her. His eyes flashed to Ophelia for a split second before retreating to the sparkling snow at their feet. He realized that him and Ophelia were still holding hands, his whole face burned while he mulled over whether or not he should let go or wait for her to do it first.

Emerson watched as Reese became as still as stone Does this boy need me already? she thought and was about to go see what was wrong but her attention was averted when she saw Orin in the distance. He was covered in blood, hopefully not his own but from the looks of it that wasn't the case. She frowned until he got close enough and gave him a smile, she was about to say something witty to her half brother about how he wouldn't be allowed in if that was the case cause he'd never get her riddle but he scooted past her before she could get a word out. She closed the door following him inside so much for that walk.

"The boy came close to taking my head off with Caleb's shield earlier. He owed me." she said with a wink. She ignored his comment about not having anymore clothes at this rate. "What happened to you brother?" she asked him motioning her hand over him as if he didn't already know he was a mess.

Did she have to zap someone for real now? She controlled her anger into one smirk. "You look like Hades, sit down."she said through her clenched teeth. She pointed to his bed before walking over to it and sitting down herself. There was no way he was getting on her bed looking like he did. What was uo with these kids, first almost getting beheaded then Orin showing up to their cabin covered in blood.

    "what was he doing with -" orin started, then realised that there were a lot of things that went into duelling that he truly couldn't find the effort to worry about. "at least you're alright." he noted the concern in her face, and as much as it may have been warranted, it did make his stomach turn, his skin feel like it needed tearing off. it wasn't enough that half of the apollo cabin had seen him at his worst, now his sister was becoming the obsessive carer.
    it wasn't her fault. he knew that. it was his own, really, for having such a shoddy view of his own wellbeing, but it didn't make him feel any better as he folded the stained hoodie and settled where she directed him.

    "i had a nosebleed," he said, because that wasn't quite a lie. it wasn't quite the truth either, though, and that made him feel a little bit bad. lying after everything that had happened in the day seemed wrong. he had done so well by way of honesty. orin sighed. "i got - i got a little bit... well, you should - i got a little bit decked. it's fine, though. it's not a problem, and you shouldn't - you shouldn't worry. it's all... it's for the birds, now." he attempted a little smile. "i've had a twenty minute nap, so i'm good to go again. raring for it, in fact. might challenge you to a duel, later. see how zappy you've gotten." he wasn't sure why it felt like such an empty promise.

    "anyway -" he was anxious to change the topic from the state he was in to - well, to literally anything else at all. "been up to much, other than being nearly beheaded? been a bit of a mess. wanted to check in, make sure you were all alright. are you? alright, i mean? am i -" yes, yes, he was talking too much, and it was becoming pretty damned obvious. orin shut up. put his energy into retrieving a different jumper and tugging it over his achy body.

Ophelia laughed at Aydan's antics, but slowed down for him. She smirked as he pulled up his glasses. "Nerd." She said, by way of explanation, as they continued into the outside world.

'I think I see her!' Aydan sounded genuinely excited, so she let him guide her the rest of the way to the brunette. The first thing she noticed was the smoke, fighting with the air for the attention of her lungs. Some things really didn't age well. She mused, using her free hand to stifle a cough as she tried to be dignified about puffing out the smoky air.

The second thing she noticed was the book, clutched in Celeste's arms as if were an ugly baby handed to her by a cooing parent. She glanced at it, curious as to what the women would consider worthy reading, but found the titled side of the cover turned away. Patience. She halted her prying and looked up at Celeste, not a fan of the heaviness surrounding her. Ophelia couldn't quite make out the feeling, so it was probably not something directly related to her gods-given powers of love sensing. That didn't stop it from bothering her. She didn't know Celeste, yet, but a threat to her sister was a threat to her.

Busy, seriously? She sounds like every other one of my siblings. Ophelia barely held back an eye roll at the comment. "And you weren't?" She asked, her gaze steady, despite the faint blush that crossed her features. Aydan's certainly not helping. Stop looking so guilty, dammit! She offered a slight squeeze to Aydan's hand at the 'better' comment, knowing that one conversation wouldn't get him all the way out of the woods. Then she loosened her hold, but didn't let go fully, allowing her fingers to graze Aydan's.

She held her free hand out to Celeste, eyes twinkling. "Care to make it a chain while we explore?" She asked with a soft smile. Say yes! Say yes! Say yes! She repeated her wish in her head, in sync with the pounding of her heart. She tried to keep the hopefulness off her face.

Oh. Oh. Oooooh. Things were clicking into place in Reese's head, forming a different picture than he had ever imagined for himself. That is...new? He blinked, unsure as a newborn fawn rising on new legs. This reality was not new, technically, but it felt like it, this sudden connection of dots. Do I, ask someone, about this? He wondered, tilting his head in thought. A clump of icey slush fell to his shoulder at the movement, drawing him back to the reality that he had no hood, and his ears were freezing in the weather. He sighed, shaking more of the snow out of his hair like a dog, then making quick work of getting to his cabin.

He knocked gently, as a politeness more than anything, then turned the handle on the overly dramatic building, sighing as the door swung inward and released the heat he'd been missing. He dipped inside, noticing that Auggie's bed was filled, her purple locks spilling out around her like a mermaid. She looked vulnerable, her face taking on a youthful softness when it was free of precisely crafted expressions.

He turned away, not eager to get caught looking when she was like this, and shuffled toward his bed, snatching up towel he had borrowed for his hair to run over his dampened frame. He glanced in the mirror on his vanity and scowled at his reflection. He ran the towel through his hair, but it only managed it make it more a mess. He huffed, bundling the towel up and tossed it toward the vanity. It wasn't like there was anything of v- Oh crap! The towel had managed to knock over a shampoo bottle, sending it clattering to the floor. The sound seemed to be magnified by the previous silence of the black marble room- well, hall really, if you went by ceiling height -shattering through the still air. "Sorry!" He hissed, diving after the bottle. This is why we think before we act! Ma's voice chimed helpfully in his head. Well, would have been nice to hear that a minute ago, huh?

Hank waved a hand at Mira's suggestion of repayment. "Not to be rude, but I have a terrible track record of losing things. Can't even keep track of my dog half the time, and she follows me around!" He shrugged, brightening from Mira's gratefulness. He also cast a another glance around, frowning and pressing two fingers to his lips when he didn't catch sight of the pointer. He turned away from his companions and whistled, the sound piercing through the gently falling flakes.

He returned to look at the blonde counselor, beaming at her praise, despite it's inherent flaws that were already peeving him. "Just, find a use for the rock, kay?" He said, scratching his neck. You're asking her to find a use for something that literally burns the retinas, great job! A shape bounding through the snowbanks, rushing toward them. He stiffened a moment to peer at it, but smiled when he found it was Izzy. She slowed as she approached, more aware of the presence of the skittish pegasus than Hank himself had been. Oh, sorry Firefly, he mentally apologized to the equine, who he knew from his infrequent visits to the stables, which always brought memories of home crashing in on him.

"Good girl!" He told her softly, offering a hand when she came into range. But she had other ideas. The pointer approached Mira and butted gently against her.

Aggy was more than happy to follow Skylar, squeezing her legs into Spicy to indicate that she wanted to keep up. The mare responded, stepping up into a rhythmic sort of prance with a snort. Scary...but fun! Despite increasing their speed, they were still several paces behind Skylar and her swirly mount. Time to change that. She squeezed again, clicking her tounge and leaning forward as she did. Spicy was more than happy to oblige, passibg over the snow in a movement that was more of a glide than hooves touching the ground. Aggy took in the cold air and icy flakes along with her mount, sucking in gulps of air, even as it threatened to tear at her lungs. There was a very real chance of falling, of anointing the ground with her body. But the flutter it sent down her spine only served to raise a laugh in her throat.

Almost...yes! They overtook Skylar at long last, and she laughed for real, breaking the peaceful aura of the raining snowflakes. "Anything to say for yourselves, slowpokes!" She called over her shoulder. She nearly came tumbling off, but made up for her poorly balanced weight with a tightness in her calves. A tightness that drove Spicy onward, and Aggy's heart hammering. If this is how it ends... I can't say that I'd mind. She mused, squinting as she leaned into Spicy's warmth. The leather bit into her frozen hands, and her legs ached in ways that would burn later, but she already knew that wouldn't be what she remembered of this, of this flying.

[] Augusta Reynolds|17|she/her|Hades|Head counsellor|Cabin Thirteen|tags:Reese

Her brief moment of respite was exactly that—brief. She awoke with a jolt at the sound of a crash, the noise echoing off the walls and making her jump as she was thrown into wakefulness a little abruptly, heart pounding as her body interpreted the sudden sound as a threat. Her gaze immediately went to the bunk across from her, though she quickly realized that Orin was gone and the blanket she’d put on him was now spread across her own shoulders. She knew she couldn’t have been asleep for very long, but apparently neither had he.

She winced a little when she sat up, but the pain was noticeably lessened from what it had been earlier. Shrugging the blanket off, her eyes drifted over to the source of the noise, and the offender that had clearly caused the commotion—of course, no surprises there. She rubbed a hand across her face, still a little groggy, but at least it didn’t feel like her rib cage and lung were having a fight to the death anymore. The nectar had clearly worked, not that she’d be taking more of it any time soon. She shoved the thought away, turning her attention back to her cabinmate and his irritating clumsiness. “You’re lucky you’re not the one with shadow powers, they’d hear you coming from a mile away,” she muttered, her words notably less sharp in her state of being half awake, though the icy mask soon returned as she shot a glare in Reese’s direction. “What the hell are you doing, titanic boy?”

She eyed the discarded towel and the shampoo bottle he dove for, as if catching it now would do anything. She wasn’t really that mad that she’d been woken up. Actually getting some sleep for once had been nice, but there were bigger things happening, more important things, and a cracked rib wasn’t going to stop her from being useful.

Not having a hoodie to wear after the events of the morning and the night previous, she almost regretted shirking the blanket that had been keeping her warm, but sitting with it wrapped around her was a display of vulnerability she wasn’t willing to show in front of Reese. The thought crossed her mind that she had in fact been in that position—and asleep—when he’d entered the cabin, but that only served to increase the harshness in her gaze, as if making up for the lack of a glare when he’d come in.

if only i could keep you in my pocket
to give me some diagnosis of why i'm so hollow
please give me instructions, i promise i'll follow
i tripped on my ankle and fractured my elbow
but doesn't that mean that the tour's gonna sell, though?
i try to explain the good faith that's been wasted
but after an hour, it sounds like complaining
wait, don't go away, can i lie here forever?
you say that i'm better, why don't i feel better?
the universe works in mysterious ways
but i'm starting to think it ain't working for me
doctor, should i be good, should i be good this year?

ivi outside.

    things had changed in regards to tobacco, it appeared. perhaps a cultural difference, or perhaps just time - though ophelia attempted to be coy about it, the distaste was apparent. it wasn't going to stop celeste, though. not even the blaring warning on the side of the packet could abate the comfort she found in the simple act of taking a smoke break. the two of them walked up, hand in hand, her sister's eyes drifting to the deftly masked book.
    there were some things that she would rather be kept private. she slipped it into one of the vast pockets of her coat, the pressure of the paperback pressing into her waistline.

    "i had a date with looming lung cancer," she said, eyebrows quirking at the words. it had been a shock at first, but the more that she heard about a life at camp, as a demigod, the less she cared about the threat of illness. she had made peace with the thought of dying young a long time ago. it wasn't going to be the smoke that took her in the end. she simply wouldn't allow it. "it's alright," celeste nodded at aydan. he couldn't help it, she supposed. "i'm glad."

    the hand offered to her felt like a threat. it wasn't, she knew it wasn't, but she couldn't help being in two minds about the action. it wasn't quite her scene, interlacing fingers and swinging arms with comrades - especially not ones who appeared to be marinated in an aura of naive, teenage adoration. if she took the hand, the energy that pulsed would become more to her than an aura, but rather a circuit that she was becoming joined with. conversely, there was something innocent about it, and though there was an attempt to hide it, celeste was very good at reading faces. it was an olive branch. she wanted to share in the moment. perhaps simply to mask the action as a friendly one rather than what was truly lying underneath. "i am not -" her lips pursed, composure faltering for a millisecond. that sentence did not have an ending. it just cut off, hanging in the air with all of its frayed edges and unstitched seams. a little sigh. "alright, then."

    before she had the chance to back down, she took the hand - happy to find that it didn't come with a jolt nor a shock. "who won, then?" the question came. "the duel? i didn't... i didn't get to see."

Who would he tell? If it were truly a secret she didn't want shared, no one. All she needed was to put the idea in his head for now, let it fester until louder action was demanded. Lucy didn't expect Leo to immediately turn around and spread rumors, but it may come about in the next few days. "I don't know for sure," she admitted sheepishly. "And I don't want to go spreading rumors—" a lie. "—so I wanted to hear someone else's thoughts. I wouldn't say "plotting to kill everyone" is accurate, but there's something going on." She shuffled her feet. "There's someone besides Khione: a mortal. He knows things he shouldn't, there was a big press conference earlier this morning. Demigods are real and they're infecting our youth. A whole spiel about it, he even went as far as to mention burial shrouds. Our shrouds. I can't—I don't know how he would know without someone on the inside—someone has to be feeding him information, probably in exchange for a free pass." It was a long winded, hurried explanation, one teeming with fear. "It might not be him, Orin may just know by coincidence, but he's kept quiet. Not a peep beyond a mention of the news in passing at the meeting earlier. What gets me…" a short pause, her tone quieting to a whisper. "I spoke to my mother about this, about the press conference. She's been trying to handle the aftermath of it and keep people sensible. I had Orin with me, and she said he looked… familiar. Familiar how, I don't know. Maybe—an Iris message? She might have spotted something behind the scenes, but we couldn't talk for long." There it was. All out in the open. Although she was pinning this on Orin as petty revenge, she didn't miss out on the thought that he was truly a traitor. She doubted it, Orin didn't strike her as spineless and underhanded, but the possibility existed nonetheless. "I don't have enough… and I don't want to cry wolf to Chiron if it ends up being nothing. I'm just scared…"

    the explanation of her comment came rather easily once his reassurance came out, and as it continued, leo's stony expression unset itself, becoming more of a frown with every word that passed her lips. news of a mortal who was sharing information about demigods - negative information about demigods, to note - and that somehow, orin had a connection to him.
    there was something about it that tugged his mind into two. something that made him want to believe that what lucy was saying was true - perhaps there were enough notes of honesty that it made the rest of the story fall into place, a neat little box that shifted the fear of mortal enlightenment to anger toward a blameable source.

    if he had uncovered such news, leo wasn't sure what he would have done with it - but pretending that it wasn't happening, laying hints in the way that he apparently had, it didn't seem right. it was putting the questers in danger. it was putting the temperature of his body in danger as well, and that felt like a rather pressing issue. "do you think he's being blackmailed or something?" he asked, blinking his way through the barrelling thoughts. "if this man knows about the funeral shrouds, then he's up to date on recent events, right? he knows what's been going on?" it wasn't like him to think the next words that came, not at all. "he's friendly with people going on the quest. if he feeds this guy information about it, then that's putting them, and all of us in danger. you - even if it's nothing, it's worth going to chiron about." his fists clenched and unclenched. "i can tell him. if you want. it makes the punch look reasonable, and it keeps you out of it, if you're scared." was this going to be his first order of business? being the messenger pigeon? it was better than waiting around for something bad to happen. "did he threaten you? did he say - anything that could've suggested... this?"

||Mirabelle Everhart|17|She/Her|Aphrodite|Head Counselor|Location: Cabins Area|Tags: Hank, Jack|

Mirabelle chuckled at Hank's admission, grey-blue eyes flickering momentarily to their surroundings. Where was the pointer? She would love the chance to say a goodbye to her canine friend as well. A short whinny brought her attention back to Firefly, who had evidently been startled by Hank's whistle. Mirabelle slowly pivoted to face the pegasus, reaching out a gloved hand to steady her. "Shh, shhh, it's okay girl," she whispered. "I know that noise was scary. But it's alright; nothing you need to worry about." The equine seemed to calm at her words; her breathing evening out and her posture becoming more relaxed. Did I do that all on my own, or was that charmspeak? It was hard to know. With Firefly sufficiently soothed, she turned back to the boys.
From Hank's minute changes in behaviour, she could discern that he was a bit insecure about the gift he had given her. She met his gaze, offering a warm smile in hopes of easing his discomfort. "Don't worry; I will." Sincerity sparkled in her eyes. A constant heat source would be undeniably useful, no matter how small. Especially if anyone else gets cold as easily as I do. The stone's warmth was already seeping through to her gloved hand. She could also think of a few ways to use the stone's brightness to her advantage. It might just come in handy during combat. "Honestly. Thank you." She slipped the wrapped stone into her pocket for now; not above discounting the need for it in the near future.
A visage of pleasant surprise flickered across Mirabelle's features when Izzy bounded over a snowbank, running to her instead of Hank. She bent down to the pointer's level, slipping off her gloves as she reached out to pet her floppy ears. "There she is! Oh, what a good girl you are! Yes you are!" Her voice, normally soft and clear, took on an embarrassingly high-pitched tone. "I'm gonna miss you, sweetheart! Yes I am!" She was grinning now; a genuine, radiant smile that lit up her entire face. For once, she didn't cover it. She would've, if her hands weren't busy showering Izzy with attention.
The sudden awareness of Jack and Hank's presences caused a rush of heat to her face. Her joyful expression faltered; replaced by a wary look. She couldn't help but wish the ground would open up beneath her feet and swallow her up. That was... gods, that's embarrassing. She cleared her throat in an uncharacteristically awkward manner, suppressing a wince at the scratchy feeling the act elicited. "Right. Um. Is this... is this okay?" Her tentative gaze indicated her hands, which were stroking Izzy's silky head. "Sorry, I should've asked first."

||Juliet Pratten|16|She/Her|Hermes|Location: Cabin 3|Tags: Hu, Caspia|

Ah, alone at last. Except for Hu and her new sister, but that was totally fine. As soon as the magicians were gone, Hu was pumping her for information. Her smile broadened at the affectionate nudge, playful mirth sparkling in her hazel eyes. Rather than reply instantly, Juliet shifted her posture so she wasn't leaning up against the door. Just in case anyone walks by and happens to overhear. The door swung shut with a loud click as she followed Hu towards her bunk, soon plopping down beside her as if she lived there too. Juliet had a tendency to make herself at home wherever she was, and it certainly showed its colours when she reached over to grab a handful of skittles and popcorn.
"So," she started, swinging her legs like a little kid. "I was thinking..." She popped a few morsels of food into her mouth to build the suspense. "What if we find some big rocks, right? Bigger than the gem, if we can. Or just a bunch of smaller rocks that are bigger than the gem put together. Then, we find a Hecate kid to enchant them to look like gems - using the mist, or however their magic works. Act like they're really valuable and be all 'oh, these are way better than that old gem you have there, why don't we take it off your claws and you can look after these for now' or something." She grinned, evidently pleased with what she had come up with. It had a few kinks, to be sure, but any plan was bound to have a few. "If we can't pull that off, we could always do the ol' switcheroo. Find an object of a similar size and shape, wait 'til the beast falls asleep - ooh, or ask Lilah or Sandman to put it to sleep - and switch 'em out carefully. Bada bing bada boom, we've got ourselves a jewel."

||Chuck Oakes|He/Him|Satyr|Location: Dining Pavilion|Tags: Caleb|

At Caleb's words of flattery, the dryad's cheeks coloured a deeper green. The scowl she wore didn't quite reach her eyes anymore. "R-Right. You’d better not." She seemed to listen idly as he went on about Chuck's role in some play, but she raised an eyebrow with a sarcastic little "uh-huh." However, Caleb's wink soon changed her tune. If she were a naiad, she would've dissolved into a puddle of water.
Chuck barely even registered what was going on until he was being led away from the buffet. He moaned something that sounded like "foooood" as Caleb practically dragged him off somewhere. He snapped out of his stupor at the other boy’s words, like a swimmer coming up for air after a long dive. "Like, she was so totally stunning, man! I just like, got totally blindsided by her beauty. And like, the spunk, dude..." His eyes went all dreamy for a moment. Caleb's words suddenly caught up with him, and his face took on a hazy look of confusion. "Whoa whoa whoa. Back up, back up." He waved his hands in front of him in a frantic motion. "You’re married!? Uh - I mean - like, that’s groovy and stuff, but wow. Wow. Like, when did that happen?"

||Zahra Al-Amin|217/Looks 32|She/They|Magician; Eye of Sekhmet|Location: Outside Cabin 3 --> Behind Cabins|Tags: Jay, Sa'd/Set|

Zahra was a bit miffed at being called a 'girl' by the chaos god - she was two hundred and seventeen years old, for crying out loud. That, and they weren't fully a woman to begin with. Sure, she had been using 'she/her' pronouns more in her head that day, but that tended to fluctuate depending on how they felt. Nonetheless, the Eye of Sekhmet led the Host of Set and their accompanying god behind a row of buildings, which Chiron had called 'cabins' earlier. Zahra thought that was rather funny - the only building that looked cabin-like in any regard to her was the one the aforementioned gryphon was seated outside. They checked back to make sure that Jay was following; she and Anubis should hear this information as well.
When they were far enough out of earshot of any demigods, Zahra stopped walking and turned to face the three. "Jay and Anubis, I believe, have already made my acquaintance, but allow me to introduce myself. I am Zahra Abubakar Nashwa Al-Amin, Magician of the Ninth Nome and current Eye of Sekhmet. I wish there were time for more formalities, but I must 'get to the point', as they say." Her tone was clear and sharp, but not unkind. Their mixed Arabic-London accent had thickened in her haste, and they hoped the three could comprehend what she was saying. "Set, Anubis - we need your help. The Duat is in chaos - almost literally, I'm afraid. You two recall the Ogdoad, though I am uncertain if your Hosts have recollection. Hosts, do either of you know of the Ogdoad? I can explain briefly if I must."
-
At Jay's admission, Zahra's face grew almost disappointed. "I see. They must not be teaching the Ogdoad cosmology in your Nome. Shame on them." She hadn't necessarily meant it in a mean nor chastising way, but it certainly came out that way. "The Ogdoad are eight gods; the first gods. They were born of the Sea of Chaos and are thought to be extensions of Isfet itself." She paused to let that sink in. "The eight are as follows. Nun and Naunet; the gods of chaos and water, Heh and Hauhet; gods of boundlessness, Kuk and Kauket; gods of darkness, and Amun and Amaunet; gods of invisibility, of air, and void. They are frog and snake gods respectively. " She watched the two teenagers' faces as she continued. "Something has greatly angered them, and caused them to awaken from their slumber. They are wreaking havoc in the Duat; tearing it completely asunder. The Sea of Chaos - it is expanding. You can see why I have been sent. We need your help. The gods need your help."

The two venti manifested themselves, evidently terrified by whatever this strange being was. It felt ancient, they knew - older than even the gods. They exchanged a nervous glance before one turned back to the sentient mass of shadows.
"Er - our apologies, we didn't mean to interrupt your - erm - coffee."
The other ventus looked at its companion with incredulity. "This was supposed to be an observe and report mission! Engaging with the target was never part of the plan." It's voice was a low hiss, barely audible but angry nonetheless.
"Well, what did you want me to do? Deny a primordial being something it asked for? Dying was never part of the plan either!"
"What are we supposed to do now? Khi-"
"Shhh! They - it - whatever - is listening."
Their bickering continued on for some time before the second ventus seemed to come to a decision.
"Well. Ahem." It cleared its nonexistent throat, turning back to the shadowy being with trepidation. "Since we're here... um... could you perhaps tell us who you are? Our boss kinda sent us to gather information; uh... see if you're a threat or not."

Cass chuckled softly at Aiden's comments "Aiden I will still use you as an armrest even if you suddenly become six feet tall and somehow gain the ability to stand on a skateboard for more than two seconds" Cass teased with a rather large smirk on her face. She was glad that her impromptu gift was well received and her smirk turned into a small gentle smile. Cass tensed at the hug surprised at the sudden affection but she relaxed after a couple of seconds. Cass quickly returned his hug "I'm...I'm gonna miss you too" She replied her voice wavering slightly before she stepped away and got her emotions back under control "I highly doubt that Juliet will ever let you forget her" Cass said with a smirk hoping to cover up the waver that her voice had"but yeah if I see her I'll let her know".

Jack Morrison|18|Demeter|Pansexual|Loc:Dining Pavilion|Tags/mentions:Hank,Mira,Izzy,Open
Jack watched slightly confused about what Hank was doing "Oh that's really cool" Jack said once Hank explained what the object was. "Oh" Jack suddenly exclaimed "I have something for you too". Jack then turned and began to run to his cabin before opening to door causing Whiskey to give him a side-eye from her food dish. Jack then began to rummage through his thing and pulling out a matching light pink hat, gloves, and scarf with small little dark red hearts decorating them in a stripe pattern. Jack then dashed out of the cabin once more to Mira, Hank, and now Izzy who had finally shown up. "Mira I'm pretty sure any sane person baby talks an animal at least once their lives" Jack said with a grin. "Oh and uh here these are for you" He said holding out the knitted items towards Mira "I meant to give them to you for your birthday but I wasn't done" Jack admitted rather sheepishly "but I hope that you'll be able to put them to good use" Jack beamed although he knew that they probably wouldn't keep Mira as warm as the magic stone that Hank gave her they would still be able to her and that's all that mattered to him.

        Ohhhhhh. The big puff of smoke completely understood the situation now. These two fellow puffs of smoke were delivering his coffee he had ordered! Of course! Why hadn't he thought of that? "Oh hello! Is there anything I need to sign or uh... is there a receipt or something? I'm not really sure I have a card.. will you take cash? Oh wait- I also don't have cash. Is dogecoin alright?" He said, glad he had thought of the rather brilliant idea of ordering even more coffee. He was probably the smartest puff of smoke with a disembodied voice and supreme dance moves in the world. As well as the only one! Wow, he now held two world records! Obviously their whispering was about getting information for personalized recommendations on his Starbucks app! And this 'Key' person was their boss!

        okayokayokayokayokay- This was a solid plan. Hu thought it was. But sometimes her judgement was wrong. Most of the time, it was wrong. But maybe this time it was right. So Hu decided it was worth a try to see if her judgement was right. But then this decision might be a poor choice. Meh. What's the worst that can happen? I could die, yeah sure, but on the other hand I get a shiny jewel that I can hang on the wall! No one can argue with this logic! Hu decided that Juliet's amazing plans would all work pretty well. But then a sudden, vErY cOmMoN, stroke of common sense struck her. "Wouldn't the gryphon tell if we put a bunch of rocks together? Maybe putting it to sleep would be the best option... wanna go on a hike to the Hypnos cabin?"
