Nick stood and left the dining area. Bored, he wandered off in the direction of the lake, not sure what he was hoping to find there. It wasn't like any of his cabin members would be there. Then again, the Hephaestus kids were often loud and cheerful, and while Nick liked that, a break was nice now and then. Maybe away from his cabin and the other kids in it, Nick would find a little solitude. He nodded and then set off more decidedly for the lake. Upon arriving, Nick saw another camper. A girl.

"Yeah, sure," Liam agreed. He could go looking for the Hephaestus kids later--maybe he would ask Nick. For now, he'd be content watching the fight. Liam didn't love seeing other kids get roughed up because he was a generally nice guy, but watching other campers display their skill was always fun. And real fights between campers could get interesting, since they were both giving their all instead of just going after straw dummies. It was like a different sort of competition, only with swords instead of bows and arrows, and in this case, an entire crowd watching.

Scourge was sitting on the dock's edge, his legs dangling over the side. His shaggy brown hair was wet, topaz eyes bright, pale skin glistening with water. The Ares boy had recently took a dip and had hauled himself up here to sit. He didn't mind being shirtless, not many people were out anyways.

She sighed and dicided to go to the lake. She walked out of the arena and grabbed her sword. She went by her cabin and set her shield and sword on the bed . She slowly walked out of the cabin and walked down to the lake

Britt'ny

"Hi!" Britt spoke out....into thin air...She was never really good with greetings. Practicing while nobody was around was a good idea for her! Atleast, she thought it was. "Hello...." Her voice just a bit deeper this try, She was going for sultry, but with her energy, it would have been hard to hold that kind of ruse for long. "Well....Helllllllooooooo" She giggled and winked, then shook her head, putting her hands on her face. Useless She thought to herself. She rose her head, having herd the crackling of foliage...another camper!....Crap! Britt closed her eyes for a moment, and dissapered. Having being a child of Nyx, She could use the shadows around her to cloak herself, seemin invisible. She looked in the direction of noise and seen, it was another camper. Young boy by the looks of it....Hmmmmmmmm. She dropped her Shadows and got up, brushing the leaves off herself before stepping in his direction, but not too far from the shadow of the tree. Even thought Britt was a kind person, she didn't trust everybody right off the bat and In this world....Trust was something to be held in high reguards. She pulled her hair away from her golden brown eyes and smiled brightly, extending a hand to the stranger. "Err. Hi..".

Nick nearly jumped out of his skin in shock when Britt appeared our of nowhere. And said hi. Nick was astonished for a moment, then tried to pull his socially awkward self together. A girl was talking...to him....she had just said hi...he should answer...say hi, you idiot! Nick shook his head slightly and said, "H-hi." He wasn't really sure what else to say; being socially awkward, particularly around girls, always left Nick wondering what to say, or putting his foot in his mouth. He really hated it and hoped he hadn't somehow already messed up the conversation.
Nick realized he was sort of, um, staring at Britt like the wonder girl or something. He turned red and looked at the ground and mumbled, "I...I'm Nick...you are...?" He hoped he'd asked the right question. You asked their name if you didn't know it, right?

"Awwe! Shy guy huh? It's cute" She giggled, her bubbly personality taking a swing. "Name's Britt'ny, Just arrived here with my brother Adam. Both Children of Nyx." She was surprised, not many guys she's ever met were shy, or blushed, or stare- waiiiit. The staring thing happend alot. Most likely becuase she was just so 'weird' It's what Adam called her anyways. There was no way, she was weird. She was special, just like any other demi-god here. Adam was the weird one!!! The gold in her eyes glinted in the sun, of course it would have been easier to see if her hair hadn't fallen infront of her face. She retracked her hand, now knowing this kid was a shy person, she didn't expect him to shake her hand. She messed with her bangs, pulling them back, snug and tight against behind her ear.

"Nyx? Wow...that's cool...I'm a son of Hephaestus," Nick answered, still sort of looking at the ground. It didn't really show that Hephaestus was his dad unless you saw Nick working on something, or you saw something he made. All Hephaestus's other sons were tall and muscular; Nick was tall enough, but he was stick thin. It was one of the many things he dislike about himself. But he really did have skill in metalworking; everything he made was exceptional. Unless people saw it though they usually didn't realize who his dad was....
Nick told himself that in a conversation you typically looked at the other person. He half-glanced at Britt for maybe ten seconds, then looked back at the ground. Looking at her, though, Nick couldn't help but note she was pretty...which instantly made his cheeks go pinker than usual and he couldn't think of anything to say even more than before. He hoped Britt would come up with something; she seemed more friendly than him and also less socially inept.

"Practice over," Anna says to Brody, her sword turning back into her bracelet. Her violet eyes glared at Levi before she walked out of the arena, heading towards the cabins.

"Cool?...Well sure! I'm cool, Adam's not but SHHH!" She giggled and dropped her voice to a whisper "I didn't tell you that" she winked and smiled brightly. "So, Son of the forges huh?" She put her hand on her hip, shifting her weight to it. Poor kid, he was frightfully shy, dispite Britt's efforts to be friendly. "Get to work with metal all day, and fire. Sounds like the best job ever" Scanning the landscape around her she found a nice rock, a few steps away. She bit her lip...If she stepped out of range of the shadow....she might not be safe. then again, she wasn't getting a bad vibe from this kid.....Screw it. She walked over to the rock, hoped up and sat there, motioning Nick to follow her. "Comon, I don't bite.....too hard" She grinned and wiggled her eyebrows before bursting out into laughter, the sweet sound carried around them in the wind.

Adam

"Stupid girl...when I get my hands on her Oof!" Adam, the dumb klutz he was, tripped over his own feet, right in the middle of the cabin center. He grumbled , puling himself up and out of the dirt. He looked down at his apparel and growled, shaking off the dust on his shirt and patting it off his jeans. His midnight eyes engulfed in anger, at his only sibling no less. "First day here....FIRST DAY and she makes me look like an idiot!....Le' Blanc, your in trouble." he growled, cursing his sisters last name into the wind.
