"Oh. I've only been here for about three months. I've never noticed you. What if that guy is like us? That would be so cool!" she squealed happily, bouncing up and down on her knees.

Jessie looked out of her cage in the shadows. She streached her tar black wings and then folded them back up behind her. She shook her cage and then glanced around the shop for the owner. She sat down on the cold cage floor and folded her arms over her chest.

Hope giggled and lay on her back looking up at the roof. She closed her eyes and thought back to her old masters and family with a smile. The candlight of the dining room and her own place on the floor not far from the table.

"quiet down! there's still camera's you now." he sighed sadly. "the store keeper will review them when he comes back for his morning bagel with chocolate spread and shredded cheese, before opening the store and going on with the day." he replied. "I've gotten quite used to his routine."

Jessie hissed at the command. "I will not quiten down." she said codly and stood again she threw herself against her cage and it came crashing down and landed on it's side. Jessie felt the air knocked out of her lungs and took a second to recover. She then crouched in her cage and shoved on the bars.

Hope jumped up startled by the crash. "Agh not again Jessie. Just behave for a second. Humans aren't that bad you know. Most are really nice." said the young canary Avian happily and then went on humming to herself.

Aria smiled, "Well if he lets us out, then we won't even be here in morning." she said, but she still sat down in her cage again. when someone's cage went crashing to the ground, she hissed, her tail puffing up.

[... if you did not read before - the cages have Chains on the back of them that lock them to the wall. they are only 3 times bigger then a lobster cage so they are only long, not tall enough to stand, only sit. and the cages are tightly packed side by side so pushing the cage anyway would be pointless.]

Jessie returned the hiss from the Neko and stayed crouched in her cage. She hated it, hated them, hated it all. She shook the feathers on her wings causing a shhh sound to travel through the air.

"I don't see why you all dont like the humans." Hope said sitting up and facing the others. She moved closer to them with a smile and gently flapped her wings. "I'm Hope by the way." she said happily.

"i don't hate humans ... it's just an animal instict to tell a human's emotion and natural dangers ... for example, a storm, or when someones sad you go cheer them up. no?" he asked, looking to Hope from the corner of his cage.

[its ok. i added it to 'Notes' about the cages so everyone else who decides to join knows not to make the same mistake repeatedly.]

Hope shrugged. "I have never had that but I guess it was because I was raised by them." she said lying back in her cage against the bars. She gave a yawn. "How long do you think it will take for me to be bought?" she asked feeling slightly worried. She didn't enjoy not having a home.

"im not sure ... i've been here 10 years." he replied. "it's different for each person, but i guess it does get a bit sad after a while." he murmured.
