Inked quickly ran to the school, knowing for sure that they were late. They knew they shouldn't have stayed up late watching anime! They started to see the school building up ahead so they started to run faster, the ink running down their skull and onto the stone beneath them but it floating back to them a second later. "Stupidstupidstupidstupid!" They mumbled to themselves under their breath as they finally reached the school grounds.

"Hello, Ryse," she greeted with a kind smile, "Your flames are really freaking cool you know?" So far so good. "I've always thought the Phoenix was the most majestic animal to ever walk, well fly over, the earth."

He colored a picture of sans with ketchup in his notebook. He looked around with a kind smile but it faded away and he continued coloring.

Ryse nodded to Kora in acknowledgement to the greeting. She gave a little start upon hearing Kora's next sentence and hesitantly spread one of her wings to get a look at it. Cool? Her flames? And majestic? The word 'freaking' sounded more familiar to Ryse. It wasn't the same as freak, but it was pretty close. But now that she thought about it, her fire looked kinda cool. No one else she'd seen was on fire.
"Yeah...I guess." Ryse lowered the heat of the flames to a dull warmth and moved her wing toward Kora.
Ryse almost asked if the human wanted to touch her wing, but at the last second, she pulled her wing back toward her body with a slightly worried expression. She didn't know Kora. One lesson Ryse learned was not to trust anyone at first glance like that. So she didn't.

"A-ah, alright," he said with an unsure tone. He grabbed the lunch he had packed for himself, watching Papyrus carefully. "I'm go-going to the cafeteria, join me if you wa-wan-want." He patted his shoulder awkwardly as he left.
When he reached the lunchroom, he sat down at an empty table and started to pull out his lunch, which consisted of a lot of applesauce and a couple of other mashed and small foods. He never really thought about it, but it's strange how he's never had a serious case of malnutrition.

"Aw man!" Kora whined playfully, "Can't I touch it? It's not like I bite or somethin! Please?" She begged Ryse in a way that was more playfully than anything.

He decided to join him, grabbing a apple sauce cup. "Hmmm.. Im gonna buy lunch be right back." He ran up to get lunch, his heel like boots making somewhat of a loud noise. He soon ran back with food. "Here." He handed some food to ep, blinking.

Ryse gazed uncertainly at Kora and then at her wings, and back again. Did Kora actually think she was trustworthy enough to touch her wings? She seemed to. The phoenix monster hadn't realized her flamed had heated up until the air shimmered with heat and she had to cool them down to avoid an incident. Finally, Ryse shrugged and unfolded her wing again.
"Okay. Just...don't hurt it. It's a pain to grow them back."
Ryse tried not to sound like she spoke from personal experience, but the grim expression on her face was obvious even to her.

He beamed at the skeleton and took the food. "Huh? W-what exactly is this?" He asked, feeling sort of silly for asking. He didn't really see much other than apple sauce, potatoes, and a small variety of other stuff. He only learned about pizza a couple of months ago, which was a really wild trip.
