The Guardian turned his head slightly to view the sun that sat high in the skies above. He didn't know what was out here. The possibilities were endless. He might be alone out here in this vast wilderness. Or, there could be something else that was out there beyond the horizon. There might actually be some sentient beings that he can take a shot in trying to speak with. Because right now, he had absolutely nothing. According to his lovely A.I. companion, they lost complete contact with the Tower back at home. To make matters worse? There was no link to his ship that he could have simply flown away with nor was there a link for his Sparrow which would have made traveling these lands much more easier.So, he had to revert to the ways of the old.Walking. Yep.Walking from place to place.Well at least, he wouldn't be able to skip over any important details this way. If there was a habitable place that he could take shelter at, it would be hard not to notice it. That, was his first priority. To seek shelter before the night came around. After he found some shelter that was decent, then he would search for other lifeforms. At least, he had his arsenal with him by means of self-defense. Vann was about to continue walking, but that was when his Ghost interrupted his train of thought."Motion trackers picked up something.I really hope that the Vex didn't follow us here." the Ghost said, which made him much more cautious of his surroundings. He briefly skimmed over the vicinity, just as he saw one of the bushes move slightly. A dark brown hare hopped into view, which made him cock his head to the side.A rabbit? A creature that he had only seen in books borrowed from the scholar's library. He had never actually seen one in person.He took a small step towards it, only for it to make a run for it. But instead of running back to the bushes it came from, it ran past him in order to avoid something. His eyes drifted over the grass, and all that he saw was something silver that glared brightly in the sunlight and someone that was crouched down. He instinctively took a few steps back, with his hand slightly raised. He had been reaching for the rifle slung on his back, but he made no other movement that declared that he was going to use it.He didn't know what language this being spoke. But there was one language that everyone was capable of understanding, and that was body language.

Ulysses blinking several times, sprinting ahead to find that he had lost track of Marisa completely. His aged eyes must have been worse than he thought. Sighing hoarsely, he decided to keep after the direction he'd seen her go, hoping to get out of the cold one way or another. He shivered uncontrollably, grinding his teeth, so horribly unused to this kind of cold.

Ginger kept a hand on her minigun, tapping her fingers against the roughened metal, glancing around uncertainly. She didn't know what kind of creatures this place had in store, but she highly doubted that there was anything here that would win a fight against a weapon that could stop a speeding deathclaw. Mutt trundled along at her side, gurgling in irritation, clearly having a tough time navigating such tall grass. The duo stuck out distinctly against the environment, with the sharp pink of Ginger's hair and Mutt's skin, the smooth black of Ginger's combat armor, and the glittering metallic surface of her weapon.

After that, the Ghost accompanies their Guardian throughout their quest. They are sentient A.I.'s that are able to appear and vanish from out of sight. Each one has a different personality, and are able to talk. HDD is limited, however. When the amount of Neptune's shares (Or trust from her nation's people) run low, 'Hard Drive Divinity' is no longer available. Low shares can also cause the goddess to grow weak.

 When the being that hide amongst the tall grasses placed the arrows back into the quiver, that was when he dropped his slightly raised hand to his side. Vann briefly studied her, catching only a few glimpses of the armor that she was wearing. It sort of reminded him of the armor that the Hunters would wear back at the Tower. This was stylized differently, and seemed much more decorative and intricate to detail. He wondered what materials was used to create such armor pieces. He watched her as she rose up from where she had been crouching. "I was about to ask you the same question." he replied, when she asked who and what he was. That was when something clicked. Wait. She spoke the same language as him? It seemed so unlikely since he was in these uncharted lands. There was no notifications from the HUD of his helmet that told  him that his Ghost translated the phrase for him. After the brief observation, he decided that now would be a good time to explain himself before he ended up getting shot by an arrow."My name is Vann." he said, while he was trying to come up with a simple explanation to what he was. He could have said that he was an undead warrior that fought for the vengeance of other fallen warriors. Though, the undead part tended to freak some people out like if he was going to eat their brain any time soon. So, he usually created a more fancy title to better compliment himself and the others."I am a warrior of the Light. A Guardian that has sworn to protect the  city." he explained in a short amount of time. That right there, was a short and simple summary of what he was. He excluded the other details since he deemed them as unnecessary. Within time, he might explain more. Or , to just demonstrate it.
