''I'm Alexis.'' she smiled. Dr. Grace clapped. ''Well, let's get to work. Aysel, you go there'' she pointed to a horizontal chamber. ''Ash, you go there. Kira, that's yours. Alexis, go to the last chamber.''

Alexis followed the instructions. Her stomach seemed to turn inside out as she opened the chamber and laid down on it. Dr. Grace was already lowering the metallic security systems around and checking the connections. When she approached Alexis, she winked playfully. ''So, here we go!'' she said as she closed the chamber's lid. Alexis repressed a shiver as she thought how it remembered her of a coffin. Her smile dissipated, but thankfully there was no one to see her fearful expression. She could hear muffled voices from the outside...

''Connection at 76%...''

Ash walked over carefully and glanced in, curious. Kira walked right into the machine, closing her eyes, waiting for the lid to close. This would be some amazing adventure she'd have. Sighing, she listened to the noises. Ash soon climbed in.

Zirina watched the skypeople's camp. There were skypeople running around with guns, and strange, loud gray things, with skypeople in them. She shuddered. Before long, they'd send out what they called avatars. They were skypeople in a na'vi body. She watched for a while then headed back to the home tree.

(I was sad when Grace died too )

Alexis' stomach, definitely, hat turned around. If the connection would last much more she'd surely go completely bonkers before the day's end.

''Connection at 96%, everything fine.''

Oh. My. Alexis thought. How fast. How would it feel, to have suddenly a brand new body twice the height and much stronger? Surely sounds fun, she thought, but she felt her face go green. She didn't knew she was so nervous.

''Done... they shall be on the way...''
Al went flashy colours which raced through her mind. Alexis noticed the beautiful patterns. She could feel so... conscious, it was really unexpected. She wondered whether she could turn into a bodiless soul, but quickly tried to think about any other thing. She didn't want to consider that situation.

She focused on her own memories of Aysel, Ash and Kira. How would they be by now? Would they feel the same...?

The world, suddenly blurry, was in sight. She saw Dr. Grace in front of her, calling her name. ''Hmmm...'' she mumbled. She tried to get up, stunned by her own hugeness. She saw two females and a male Na'vi Avatars in front of her, and she guessed they must be Aysel, Ash and Kira. Alexis slowly sat, obeying to all the exercises Dr. Grace told her to follow. Easy. All too easy.

Teriney gasped, slightly startled by the coolness of the chamber walls. Her arms twitched, suddenly feeling the urge to clamber out of this small confined space. She fought back against her automatic reflex's, resisting the frequent urges to move as her back press against the cold surface. She screwed her eyes shut, hoping that when she opened them once again it will have all been a bad dream. But sadly it was all true. She was in her chamber, about to become one of those disgusting Avatars! she took a deep breath and attempted to relax...

For Ash, it was like an amusement park ride. He felt like he was riding down a tunnel at fast speeds, colors smeared across the walls. He saw a light at the end and wondered if he was dead. Maybe he was. Blinking, he tried to see but it was all bright and stuff. He tried to get up, but he still felt trapped in something. What was happening? Was he in his Avatar body yet? Ash opened his eyes. His breathing felt weird. Thicker some how. That must be from the Na'vi being able to stand the air outside. He blinked a few more times and glanced around, noticing something at his side. It was a tail! He got up swiftly into a sitting position. "Um... hey! I'm not dead!" he said to what seemed to be Alexis.

Kira went through it with closed eyes, hoping that she didn't throw up. She knew from experience that it wasn't pleasant to have throw up in your face. Breathing fast, she felt like she was flashing through blinding flash cards one by one, and it felt weird. She opened her eyes to a light above a table like an operating table. Words seemed fuzzy to her ears, like static. It was hard to hear so she concentrated, trying to be able to make out the words. Something about not being dead yet? She brought up a blue hand experimentally, feeling her long brown hair with one braid in the front. Even her hair color had changed.

Alexis smiled faintly. ''Apparently, I'm alive too. Surprising.'' She got up. ''Where will we go now?'' she asked Dr. Grace.
''To the jungle camp.'' the scientist answered. ''But you all ain't go anywhere with those hospital clothes on. Better change.'' she threw each of them a backpack. Alexis opened hers. Inside it, there was a clothes change and a quick snack of fruit. At the moment she saw the exquisite coloured berries she understood how hungry she was.
''Uhh... Sure.'' the girl said. Dr. Grace smiled at her and pointed to some changing rooms. Alexis got into one and quickly dressed herself up.

Ash nodded, clearly amused by his long braided hair. "And I thought my hair was long." he mumbled to himself as he turned to Grace. "Can I get some clothes? I feel funny in these..." It was also weird with all the tail thing...

Kira nodded as she eased herself up. "I also have something like that in mind. Er... what are these tests that we have to do to help us and make sure that we're in control of our bodies?"
