((Black Cat, basic drawer or not, your pretty good in my eyes. ... But, hey, I couldn't draw a circle if my life depended on it, so what do I know? X3))
-----------------------Kimi and Isao-----------------------
"The forest? Why are we going in there?" Kimi blinked at her twin.
Isao shrugged. "Where else is there to go?" He glanced at his sister, then sighed. Kimi noted that his wings were limp and dragging on the floor. "We're not wanted anywhere, Kimi. No one likes freaks like us."
From Kimi's hurt expression, he could tell he made her upset. He reached out and pulled her into a hug, wrapping his wings around her. "I'm sorry, but you and I both know it's true." He fell silent for a long moment. "... You make me feel like an older brother." He released her. "C'mon, the forest is really no different then any other place. I bet we could make a better living there, then in some town or city that has no need for winged children." He held his hand to her.
Kimi accepted the hand silently, and let him lead her past the treeline. As they traveled through the forest, her thoughts wandered to their wings. How different it would be, without them. They could be playing outside with some friends, or watching a movie indoors, or buying icecream. Her wings dragged along the floor like Isao's, the feathers tattered and dirty. We've never flown before. She blinked when she realized that. I wonder what it's like... She quickly pushed the thought away. Maybe when she was seven, she could have taught herself to fly, but not no- she stopped in her tracks when she heard a sound.
Isao stopped too and looked at his twin, a question in his eyes. Kimi put a finger to her lips, then gestured to her ear. Isao nodded and listened closely, both silent and unmoving. They caught it again.
Isao glanced at Kimi, then pulled her forward. About half a mile later, they came to a halt near a cabin, though they remained hidden behind the treeline. Voices and music drifted from the front door.
"Why do you think people are here, of all places?" Isao whispered in her ear. Kimi only shrugged and watched the building.
