Adonai

Adonai pushes past Raena in the direction of the village. "I could say the same about you. I may be hurt but I have the strength left to carry myself." Adonai flashes his normal, childish smile to her. "Of course if you need me to hold you up, I can." The Netrwar Bliba lands on his shoulder but he ignores the pain carried by the touch. "After all I am the almighty Adonai, captor of Apokah." Adonai's grin passes. "Now let's get home while we still can." He continues towards the village his eyes and ears constantly locked on Raena in case something should happen to her.

Beikon
Beikon swims down the river not bothering to look back. A part of her knows what she would see if she did and a part hoped it wouldn't be so. Raena would turn on Adonai with eyes of pity and try to help him and the boy, in his foolishness, would refuse. Typical male antics. She hopes Raena will force the boy to walk with his injuries. He was responsible for everything that went wrong. As though he had read her thoughts, her Mope chimes in. You are not completely free of blame in their injuries. They would have continued searching if not for Adonai showing you the Apokah. Beikon's anger flares. "It is that fool of a boy's fault. How could you accuse me of anything. That boy will do anything to show off to Raena. You can see it in his eyes when he looks at her, he..." Beikon catches herself before she ruins her mood further. The boy cared for Raena and she for him. A tear forms in her eye but is absorbed by the water around her. She could never have that relationship and she knew it. One day you will find one. Do not fret. Beikon can't help but smile at her guides words of comfort. Maybe he is right. As she comes into view of her reef, she knows something is wrong. Many of the tribesmen float about it. "BEIKON."

Raena rolled her eyes at him as he foolishly continued back towards the village without support. She was fine, sure she was in pain but he had actually collapsed only a few hours ago. You're so stubborn Walking ahead, she overtook Adonai easily, not stopping until the village was in sight, though not taking her ears off Adonai, metaphorically speaking. If anything happened, she'd know a few seconds in advance. Sliding her hand up her bow, she squeezed it tightly for comfort... The village was in sight, they were going to be alright... At least they were safe there... They were both getting help for their injuries, whether they liked it or not, Raena would make sure of that. Walking over to Lefou's hut, she poked her head round the entrance, scanning the inside for the man. He didn't appear to be there, but he wouldn't be very far... That she was sure of. Lefou? Her voice was hushed, actually quite soft as she whispered to the elder, wherever he might be. She didn't want to embrarrass herself or Adonai by attracting a lot of attention to the fact that they were wounded, although the bite in Raena's arm was incredibly hard to hide. Maybe not hard to hide from Adonai, who didn't appear to have noticed it, but everyone else would be curious of the bloody mess. Eyes wide with worry about causing a scene, she slipped into Lefou's tent, collapsing on the ground... She was so weak from bloodloss and her broken ribs, but she had forced herself to keep going, just as she had forced Adonai...

Matb
Matb hurried into Lefou's hut, shouting once she is inside. "Adonai! Raena!! O my O my what happened?" She says quickly as she drops her pile her herbs. "I knew you guys were back and hurt. I just knew it." Matb says in a hurry as she skims through her pile. She had come to ask Lefou if she had seen the two returnees but running into them was much better. Others in the tribe tended to think Matb always knew if one of her friends or children were hurt. It was true in a sense. She could sense pain but only from Raena who was as close as a sister could get and from those children she watched, even when they grew up. It was the same with the healer, which speaking of which.... Aww there she was, Matb thought as Unerterb came running in, not bothering to speak but taking a wet leaf in her hand and walking up to Raena and put the wet giant leaf on Raena's wound.

The Bmecte
I watched as the trio walked off towards home. They had to heal and home was always the best place to heal, at least physically. Emotionally I wasn't sure if it was the best place to heal. I knew for me it wasn't but for them it might be. When I was at 'home', I always felt confined and hated it. I wanted to be free to explore and learn like I was now. Turning back to watch, my Rowabb came up to me. "Sadiq" I asked simply as I watched him tilt his head in thought. Then he snorted in my face, making me laugh softly. I wouldn't be surprised if my laugh was heard. Covering my mouth with my hand, I smiled around my finger tips. "Sadiq it is then..." I say so softly, that I know no one heard it this time. Glancing over Sadiq's shoulder, I saw the trio was now out of my view. "Let's go get some food." I say, still trying not to laugh at Sadiq's expression of his new name. Maybe I would change it again some day and maybe I would find a name for myself. But for now, I was hungry and I knew the trio was safe on their way home to heal.

Adonai

Adonai follows Raena into the village, no point in wasting what little strength he had left on challenging her for point. Besides, he liked following her, he'd done it for years, even before her father's passing. Raena heads straight for Lefou's hut. Adonai would tell her that the man won't be there, he rarely is, but its somewhere private where Matb and Uernterb will look for them. Instead Adonai travels to one of his old hiding places, a small clearing hidden beneath the village. He sits in the middle of the clearing, focusing on controlling his breathing as Lefou had first taught him as a child. He examines his injuries, his body covered in scrapes and his rib cage a dark brown from his bleeding. Adonai studies his hand, the bite had started to fester. Reaching into the hollow of a nearby tree, Adonai produces a few items he had stashed there. The first is a waterskin filled with a powerful fermentation created from the juices of the beppn. The liquid could burn away almost any infection from a wound. The second a bone needle with thread strong enough to even stitch flesh, Lefou had made Adonai practice on Kpbica to learn how the skin resists the needle. The final item is a small, razor sharp bone knife. Adonai brushes clean the area around him and leans against a tree, pulling off a piece of bark and placing it between his teeth. He slides the knife down his side and works quickly, resetting the damaged bones and draining the pooled blood. He stitches the wound with practiced patience. The pain was far greater than anything Lefou could have prepared him for but he still was prepared as best he could be. The wound closed, Adonai pours the strong smelling liquid into his wounds, both from the blade and the Apokah, burning infection from him. He works his best to stitch the wound on his hand and then cleans the materials with the liquid before returning them to the hollow. Rising to his feet, slinging the waterskin and whats left of its contents over his shoulder, Adonai climbs back to the village, silently slipping into the hut behind the healer.

Breathing laboured as she finally allows her body to show how badly it was hurt, she remained unconscious. It would be a while until she could hunt again, she knew this, and it upset her... As a result of her sadness, her body would try and reject help from outside sources even though they would help her to heal faster. It made no sense, even to her, but she had to be calmed down before anything could be done with her. It was just the way she was.

The others must have just arrived as Raena lies on the floor unconscious. Adonai slips past them and lifts her body into a seated posture. "We're here Raena. You'll be ready to hunt again soon. Its alright. Just relax." Adonai pulls the waterskin from his side and pours the liquid over the bite. He then holds what's left in the skin under her nose, hoping the fumes will wake her. He holds her close to his body, his mouth by her ear where only she can hear. "Don't you leave me Raena. Don't you ever leave me." He looks to the other two his eyes telling what he can't say. Save her or lose us both.

Nose twitching as the fumes reached her, she took deep breaths, relaxing her body. The pain as the liquid got into her wound would have been almost unbearable if she could feel it. Feeling herself being moved slightly, she listens as a familar voice whispers into her ear... She couldn't make out the words, everything was fuzzy, but the masculine voice she knew as Adonai was quite reassuring. Her breathing settled, her way of responding to them in the best way possible right now, she tried to move her body but had very little control. Her toes could twitch a little, but even that was hardly a movement at all...
