He stepped back as he saw Diana waking up and quickly answered her questions,"Like I told," Strange motioned in Jean's direction," Her your in New York, I think you might have fell through one of the many portals that have been popping up in my universe, and my name is Stephen Strange, or Doctor Stephen Strange to be more correct, though I don't do much medical work anymore," Strange looked away thinking and his eyes strayed towards the ground below the building where another person looking out of place was walking," Excuse me for one moment." He quickly opened one of his portals walking through just in time for Quin to walk into him. As she was a apologizing to him he grabbed her pushing throught the portal as he walked through shutting it. "Sorry about that! Now that are all here, it looks like you all came from portals from...somewhere?"

Freak. He hated that word. Erik scowled — at least he scowled more than he usually did, anyway. He should be heading out to investigate the Avengers, anyways, not standing around while everyone on the street gathered around. Rather than say anything, he set to just listening to the exchange and weigh the options he had.

Similarly, he began to wonder about Harley’s idea of staying. He couldn’t do that. His agenda of securing Mutant’s place in society was still unfinished. Not to mention he had to help out his own kind in their struggles rebuilding after En Sabah Nur’s plan fell to pieces. As far as people, he wasn’t particularly attached. Only a few friends, really. His family was gone — two killed before his eyes and the other likely taken away to a similar fate. He was left to ponder on the thoughts, arms crossed.

Indicating he was listening, Cosmo set to thumping his tail on the pavement rather than nodding — nodding was a human nuance. The girl introduced herself and held her hand out expectantly, to which Cosmo offered his paw to hold. People were funny. They knew the same tricks no matter where they were from, holding hands included.

Didn’t know who he was? Or Stark? ”Um, well, Brooklyn isn’t exactly close by.” He shook his head, a crease forming between his brows as he thought. ”Look, I don’t know about anyone else with the spider suit thing. I’m assuming you were the kid in Germany.”

This wasn’t adding up. Bucky ran his hand across his face, thinking. He scrutinized the teen, trying to decide if this was some ploy or not. Surely he didn’t mean to fall out of the sky and get knocked out, right? Probably not. And he didn’t seem to recognize Bucky. Maybe it was a mistake?

Using his gut feeling as a basis. Bucky waved his hand in a nonchalant gesture and relaxed again. ”You know what? Doesn’t matter. The name’s Bucky,” he offered his hand for a handshake. Whether or not this was spider boy, he figured introducing himself was a good enough place to begin.

Miles took the hand warily, giving it a shake. He debated whether or not to share his name; he couldn’t just give out his identity to anyone. After a minute he decided it would be fine; the man would have killed him already if he really wanted to. “Miles.” He said before the realization of what Bucky had said hit him. “What, you’ve seen another Spider-Man? When?” He asked quickly, the events in his own dimension flashing before his eyes. All the Spider-Men being sucked from their dimensions and thrown into his. “Tater tots, chocolate, people...anything really. Though he’s not a fan of cooked meat.” Eddie winced. He still had a hard time getting used to the fact that Venom ate such foul things. He looked up as the man in the red and blue suit spoke to them. “Freak squad? You’re literally crawling on walls and somehow we are the freak squad?” He said in exasperation. Good grief.

CLINT BARTON

Clint had been watching them witch interest, because Eddie was readable. So he was also irreverent of their situation. Comfortable almost. Great. He moved forward to see better and caught the butt-end of the conversation, still just observing for the most part. This was interesting. He was curious, really, to see how Tony was going to react to having a second arachnid guy crawling the place. That would be a little difficult to keep track of, but they’d make it work. They always did, somehow.

His mind wandered briefly to the symbiote and the suit, unwittingly drawing the same parallel Eddie had. They looked awfully similar. Was this guy also packing a tar monster? Was he some weird fusion, a pathway that was never taken? He seemed to know an awful lot about what was going on, going as far as to call it wormholes. Had he done this before? They most certainly weren’t all from the same place, even he had to see that.

PETER B. PARKER

“Hey, buddy, I’m very comfortable with my status as a complete one-man circus - lack of a bearded lady notwithstanding. I know who I am. And I’m sure you’re perfectly normal where you’re from,” Peter added, catching the shift in Erik’s expression and backpedaling. He waved a hand dismissively, shaking his head. “What I meant to ask was whether you were picking up the people coming through whatever kind of wormhole is opening. No offense, but not a one of us looks not out of place. It was midnight for me, like, twenty minutes ago … or, wait - are you all from around here?” He cocked his head, looking them all over. They looked like a weird hodge-podge of people from alternate planes, but who was he to determine that? New York seemed like its own plane, sometimes.

Well, that was a lie. The guy he seemed to have upset looked and sounded right at home, at least. Inter-dimensional travel wasn’t exactly something he was a stranger to, but it had been confusing and that didn’t seem like it was stopping now. The staring wasn’t stopping either, and more people had stopped on the sidewalk to observe their conversation. Okay, so the anonymity was taking a hit. Not ideal.

she ignored his comment on her music tastes - different strokes for different folks, it seemed. it wasn't her fault he didn't know good music. she glanced up at the man curiously as he introduced himself - loki. wasn't that the dude who'd tried to destroy new york before? she let that slide - personally she didn't care, she didn't really like new yorkers anyways - and instead opted to extend her hand towards him. handshakes were still a relevant form of greeting, right?
just as she did that, the gauntlet on her right wrist began to crackle to life. the voice was faint, and the connection poor, but it seemed to draw deadbeat's attention rather quickly. she retracted her arm quickly, pressing a button on it as the connection seemed to drop again. she tilted her head and looked back up at loki curiously as she tried to reset the connection.

Loki had watched her intently as she offered his hand to him, he thought about taking it, but before he could she had drawn it back to herself. He had to admit, the sound that came from the gauntlet would have made him do the same if he was in her position. Loki's brows furrowed as he watched her as she pressed a button on it, only for the gauntlet to go silent.
The raven-haired man observed as she tried to get the connection to start up again, and he wondered if the faint voice he had heard was someone she was affiliated with; perhaps they were a mentor, friend, lover, or just someone she worked with? Or maybe someone she worked for? Loki wasn't sure, and he would keep that to himself, he shouldn't intrude with her business; mainly because he didn't want to start a fight with her, "Do you plan on standing here and messing with your gadget? There's more in interesting things you can tend to around here."

“Most of us were dumped here just like you, pal. We’re just trying to find out where we are and what’s going on.” Eddie replied. He wasn’t a big fan of the masked man’s mouthy nature, but he was used to it after living with Venom for so long. Speaking of which, the symbiote was beyond annoyed that his meal had been postponed yet again. Eddie knew he’d have to feed him soon, or they would have a harder time healing in the event of a fight. Plus Venom might decide his kidneys look particularly tasty. He dug around in his pocket, almost frantically looking for something to eat. Thankfully, he found a spare candy bar and opened it quickly, digging into the chocolate treat. Venom consumed whatever he did, so it was not necessary to bring the symbiote out in order to feed him. Eddie felt Venom settle back down as he ate, content for the moment.
